I want to train, not be destroyed. XD

Can't we all be training partners? :P

Of course... I just have a thing for... uh.. boobs.

Actually, the story is so many times funnier than that STM. Basically, there was a pretty huge gathering (100 people) at an establishment in Philly. The tournament organizer charges the people for the participant's entries then bails out mid matches with all of their money as police enter the establishment to "cease and desist" all things going on in the building since it was after hours. Everyone there that was rearing to play demands their money back since some people there didn't play and others had to catch a plane ride elsewhere (at 2AM. The story takes place at 10-11PM mind you. >__>).

Crowd then gets pissed off when the police escort the organizer home with all of their money. Some members of the crowd know where the guy lives and everyone decides to march "on some 300 [parasitic bomb]" from the building where everything ended to the guys house with the intent of beating the [parasitic bomb] out of him. Many laughs were had, especially at the guy informing us of all of this saying that the whole march was "on some Pikmin [parasitic bomb]". XD

Those pictures are awesome. They remind me of Jamaica a lot though... God I miss Jamaica...

But without going too far off topic, great stuff and awesome job on the VixyxVixy drawing! 8)

Isn't it gonna be released months after the console ports though?

Stop stomping on my heart like that. :'(

I can't invest in either of the HD consoles due to funding and the fact that I hate evaluating pros and cons for each system. (Free Internet vs Not Free, etc)

I thought that was already a part of the rules. It gets annoying from time to time, especially on a smaller forum where everyone's expecting something relevant to the topic at hand.

Aka, it get's better. There's video of the event that lead up to it.
Watch this from 1:50 forward.

EDIT - This is lame. It turns out it's just someone watching it from their computer over a livestream. >_>

Here's a hilarious story about a organized tournament that went awry complete with a 100 man mob sent out to beat the [parasitic bomb] out of a tournament organizer who ran off with all of their money.

God dammit, i hate mibbit sometimes, but this one was just too good to not copy and paste. XD

April 9th in Japan, "To Be Announced" 2009 in the rest of the world. A rumored November 2009 release in Europe.

I coulda sworn that us Amerikuns got a June-July (Summer) release date... Ah well, I'll update the OP in a second.

OH GOD, where do I start and end... XD

I have a good one though. Playing Zelda's online during Brawl lag. They always, ALWAYS get the Smash Balls and ignore everything else going on in the match. God forbid you're the type who'll go after them and beat them, because for the remainder of the time that you're in Basic Brawl, they aim for you alone. XD

Also, [tornado fang]ing Mario Kart Wii... If I throw a [tornado fang]ing shell at someone, it shouldn't fade through them, hit them 5 seconds later or they get away unfazed. Seriously, I flip [parasitic bomb] when I see someone drive through a blue shell carpet bombing like it was nothing but the breeze. XD

Then make a wishlist of what you want so far for the year, like I did XD

This is pretty much what the idea of the thread is. You all should have fun just mentioning even one or two things ya know. :P

Aside from adding Stop n Swop back in (apparently), they're taking the multiplayer mode onto Xbox Live.

It'll be the closest thing we have to Perfect Dark/Goldeneye.

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF.

Now I have to consider a 360. XD

Gaming / How Much Will You Spend on Gaming This Year?
« on: February 08, 2009, 08:53:24 PM »
As I was busy responding to a few posts in the Muramasa thread, this idea came to me. Everyone here, no matter how much they may play games or how frequently they may buy them, knows that this hobby of ours can be a costly one at times. This topic's premise is to basically find out just how much we individually will wind up spending based on our budgets and what we know of the gaming year so far.

To make things interesting, calculate the totals if you'd like to and compare them to how much you think or know you spent last year and see if you can tell us what happened there! XD

Also, to make this all easier for everyone, you can put things into categories like "Definitely Bought", "On the Fence", "Need More Information" etc.

With that all said, I'll start off!

Most Definitely

- New Play Control! Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat (Wii)
- Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn
- Punch-Out!! (Wii)
- Sin & Punishment 2 (Wii)
- Wii Sports Resort + MotionPlus Pack (Wii)
- Muramasa: The Demon Blade (Wii)
- Nintendo DSi Black
- Final Fantasy IV (DS) - I gotta try this series out sometime in my life. :P -
- Dragon Quest V: Hand of The Heavenly Bride (DS)
- Dragon Quest IX: Protectors of The Starry Sky (DS)
- Mirror's Edge (PC)
- Prince of Persia (PC)
- Street Fighter 4 (PC)

Nice But Questionable (i.e. Game content. I need my own place badly. XD)
- MadWorld (Wii)
- The Conduit (Wii)
- No More Heroes (Wii)
- No More Heroes: Desperate Struggle (Wii)

On The Fence (Not sure if I'll get into the gameplay these present or if I should spurge on them yet.)
- New Play Control! Pikmin (Wii)
- New Play Control! Pikmin 2 (Wii)
- Another Code - Trace Memory R (Wii)
- Let's Tap! (Wii)
- Zack & Wiki: The Quest for Barbarossa's Treasure (Wii)
- Okami (Wii)

Eventually Will (Depends on budget and features in the remakes.)
- Mario Strikers Charged (Wii)
- Super Paper Mario (Wii)
- New Play Control! Metroid Prime (Wii)
- New Play Control! Metroid Prime 2: Echoes (Wii)

Is It Coming Out Soon? ('09 - Early 2010) / Need More Information
- The Legend of Zelda (Wii)
- Kirby (Wii)
- Pikmin 3 (Wii)
- Fragile: Farewell Ruins of The Moon (Wii)
- Tales of Bataille (Wii)

Size reduced for smaller post.

As I think up things to put on this list, I realize that I will never buy them all due to my budget, opportunities and overall luck. XD

Next edit will be for DS games. I'll be sure to keep updating mine as time passes though, and I hope that you all do the same.

One last note, you don't have to limit your lists to only games coming out in the current calendar year, you're free to list anything from the past that you need to catch up on or missed out on but will buy soon.

With this all said and done, let the listing commence!

I dunno man, 2D, samurais, demon slaying and color all seem to be viable areas in this current gaming era. Hopefully, it'll become a long toothed success for Vanillaware as opposed to selling a massive quantity right from the start then crashing badly later on.

EDIT - Also, gaming list I see. Looks like I'm not the only one budgeting the hell out of this year gaming wise. XD
