Nah, next comes The Legend of Zelda: Spectral Shuttlecrafts.

LINK. IN. SPAAAAAAAAAAAAAACCEEEEE!

[tornado fang] this, the collective and I have come to the agreement that the next Zelda needs blimps. XD

3327
Way to go GDC attendees. =/

Fixed. Seriously, then we wonder why Nintendo gets so draconian on our collective asses. :/

Itoi said himself a Mother 4 isn't planned. 3 is the end.

For now young one. I remain optimistic.

3329
Kojima is a genius.

[tornado fang]ing yes. XD

Also, I think I should change the thread title so all of the GDC developments can be discussed in full. Everyone agree?

They would pretty much need to restructure the internals of the system since the way its laid out now is a complete mess. You ever taken a look at it? You have to wonder what the hell their programmers are on. They don't even use four-decade-old functions like dynamic linking.

Heh, you know what's funny? I got a chance to take apart the Wiimote & Nunchuk in a tech workshop at my university a while back. It's one of the reasons why I'd love to jump into Wii development as there's a [parasitic bomb] ton of stuff that's possible and hasn't been really touched on there... But that's besides the popint. Maybe what I should have done was take apart the Wii itself and see this myself. Either way, I'm not sure what to make of this development. All I know is now, I'm gonna have to borrow some of PB's reckless optimism and hope for the best.

Then, on a random tangent, this all makes me wonder what the big deal is with SSD in computing as of late...

that would be a genius move.

And how. Years of hatred of NoA's treatment of the series washed away with one sentence. Imagine the net rejoicing that'd ensue. XD

3331
and since we're talking about GDC..

Nice one Bethesda.

Nice one indeed. That's really gotta be a crowd silencer.

This game has touch controls only again it seems. I'm not going to even bother with it. Too bad since the train idea looks nifty.

The storage solution deal is such a joke. Okay, cool, we can legitimately use up to 32GB SDHC cards... good stuff. However, the system still needs to install the game on the on-board memory to run it. Not much of a big deal, sure... except for one tiny thing.

The Wii uses 512MB Flash Memory for its internals.

Now, you may or may not know that Flash memory can only be written on so many times before it goes bad and fails. If you play a lot of VC/Wii Ware titles and thus use this feature a lot, you're pretty much ravaging the memory from all the writing when you load the game and then writing again when you stop the game so the system can delete it. I'm astounded Nintendo STILL can't even get something as basic as full reading of the SD Card right.

Oh well... at least the homebrew channel still works.

[parasitic bomb], you know, I just read about this too. Well, I officially don't know what to do. I love my games but I know I need to keep my Wii in working order since I could possibly lose out on a good deal of my VC games since they were bought prior to me registering my Wii on Club Nintendo. Ugh, what a predicament. XD

You know, I was actually just reading the description for that Moving Memo game for the DSiWare...

...that game is going to be [tornado fang]ing huge...

I think it's genius, but that's to be expected from [chameleon sting]ing EAD TOKYO, CREATORS OF SUPER MARIO GALAXY & DONKEY KONG: JUNGLE BEAT.

Ahem. XD

3334
Choo choo!

The Zelda hype train DOES NOT disappoint. God it's all so masterfully ironic. XD

3335
OMG Where is my Awesomer smiley...
Looks like everyone got a Zelda!

3336
You know, at this rate, I'm just waiting to hear that you will be able to download Saturn games just for the amazing amount of HAHA it'd generate. XD

3337
I don't get it, what does that mean? o.o

Basically, what Sato said and that Nintendo has an awesome sense of net humor. Of course, the console warriors will get on this ASAP, meanwhile, we the gamers will sit back, play our 240 [chameleon sting]ing VC games and laugh contentedly. XD

Gotta say, WarioWare Snapped! looks like a lot of [tornado fang]ing fun!

YES. XD

3338
"Even more compelling, is that Wii Balance Board install base is creeping up on the PlayStation 3's install base"

Also, LOL!

I can't believe Iwata low blowed like that.

3339
I dunno why the SD thing is a problem to some. I love it.
Now I can get every single game on my SD and still be able to play them on the Wii.
I don't mind the caching.
I can actually buy the whole Shopping Channel library and actually be able to play them now.

VixyNyan is happy~ >U<

Let's not forget SDHC Cards. Max capacity at time of typing this 64GB. 8D

3340
Those pics are priceless.

Someone there has a FUCKAWESOME sense of humor. XD XD XD XD

3341
Early clarification on that:

Borrowed from Htown on GAF

Basically you need space for one game free, then you can run any game from the SD card by temporarily caching it to the hard drive. And once you're done playing, the space is free again.

Oh, and save data has to actually be ON the hard drive, not on the SD card.

So put your VC and WiiWare games on your card and your saves on the drive.

3342

Nuff. Said.

3343
Are you serious?!!!!!! o_O

DEAD FUCKIN SERIOUS. I'm playing right now.

Ok, if you've been following the net for the past few days, you know it's GDC time. Sure most of these presentations usually deal with game development more than announcements, but this one presentation is special. A lot of people in the know are currently stating that Nintendo has nothing short of a "Tsar Bomba" class reveal & megaton and of course the internet is rabid for more info. Well guess what, now you get to join in on the madness via:

I'll just quote myself from elsewhere.

In other words, color me HIGHLY skeptical.

Pretty much this and the "I like and prefer physical copies of my games" defenses are my opinion right now. Cloud gaming seems like the next true gaming evolution, but with [parasitic bomb] like bandwidth caps, non-standard bandwidth, & cost to constantly run & maintain this during these times, yeah, it just doesn't seem viable at the moment.
