@Jelly: Yes, it's all in the view of the fan, nothing more.. and I didin't knew about that Ristar and Jet Set being made by Capcom, well.. one of them was in Sega Superstars Tennis anyway, it could happen again.

God. Damn.

Shine on man, shine on. XD

'Scuuse me prince! I was just in speculation, I've been doing that practice since Brawl.

OK, listen up real good right now. I don't know where you hail from where a game engine used to power a mech fighting game can be used to create a Mario Kart clone but if you have the golden keys to this fabled place, I'd sure love to visit it sometime. Now then, moving on to another point, there's a difference between taking educated guesses and spouting things to make oneself seem knowledgeable. The latter seems to be your area of expertise and judging from how head scratchingly confused other posters reading your comments are from time to time, I don't think I'm the only one noticing this.

But hey, you're free to let me know what your angle was for this anytime after this post.

I doubt that may happen, unless Sega pulls off a Nintendo and adds those characters (like when Ninty added Snake for the suprise).

Because Jet Set Radio and Ristar were made by Capcom, amirite? 8D

My thought is they set the brand to some insane standard that Sega just can't reach... it's like wanting games while looking through the rosiest-tinted glasses in existence. The second one thing deviates from that view, it's an all out flurry of yelling, crying, moaning, tired jokes, and over-used pictures that would make a four-year-old kid embarrassed. Meanwhile, the people who genuinely like games because they're fun in the franchise have to go out and do some damage control. It's no wonder the Sonic fanbase has the "respect" they do. They're the biggest bunch of babies on the Internet who, half of the time, don't even know what they want.

What's even funnier is this reminds me sooooo much of the StarFox & Zelda fanbases right here. I know why already but it's still funny to notice. XD

I point to the "THIS GAME IS TOO SLOW! WAIT, NOW SONIC'S TOO FAST!" issue we had here with Unleashed and was no doubt reciprocated around the Internet countless times.

God that [parasitic bomb] was [tornado fang]ing hilarious. "SONIC TOO FAST! SLOW HIM DOWN!" XD XD XD

Well, if this is going to happen, why the [tornado fang] not use the Virtual ON engine with Temjin as an entry! Now that would kick ass if he gets to be in a Wii title.

Pardon me while I try not to slap you over the internet.

To be honest, from what I've seen, until SEGA releases some kind of classic 2D, 2.5D Sonic game, Sonic fans are always going to [sonic slicer] about any game he's in, whether he has a sword, car, magic ring, baseball bat, tricycle, Order Emeralds, etc.!

This is true. What really sucks is when SEGA gets the magic formula right for a Sonic game, no one's going to even notice due to the "hurrrr Sonic am laem" [parasitic bomb] that plagues the internet.

Also, dibs on Beat, Gum, or Ristar! XD

Woah, I feel bad for being late now. That's why I haven't seen Tai around helping me with the recent developments. Well, I hope you are having/had a great time in Florida.

Yeah, my best guess is it was a cameo, although story wise, it makes sense that things that were present and branded differently in the past could survive and be used in the future.

Gaming / Fragile Gets US Release!
« on: May 28, 2009, 07:39:30 PM »

May 28, 2009 - Earlier this year, Namco Bandai shipped the acclaimed adventure game Fragile: Farewell Ruins of the Moon in Japan and American players eagerly awaited news of a local release, which sadly never came. When contacted, Namco Bandai representatives explained that the company had no plans to publish the title, set to the backdrop of an atmospheric post-apocalyptic world, in the U.S.

Thankfully, though, Xseed Games does. IGN is able to exclusively reveal to its readers today that Xseed has secured the North American publishing rights to Fragile: Farewell Ruins of the Moon. The tri-Crescendo-developed project will ship stateside for Wii this winter, according to the company.

"We are ecstatic to be able to finally confirm Fragile: Farewell Ruins of the Moon for gamers in North America," said Jun Iwasaki, president of Xseed Games. "We have received countless requests from eager gamers pleading with us to publish this title, and it gives us great joy to be able to give the public what they want while being able to work on such a great game."

[...]

IGN: What about English voice work? What're your ambitions there? ?

Kenji: We're all looking forward to doing the recording for the English voices. Still trying to finish the text translations so casting hasn't started yet, but hopefully we can live up to the Japanese voices.?To the hardcore gamers out there that think "if it's not Japanese it's crap", please check out the English voices too because we do work really hard?on the English?voice-over recordings and it'll be a shame if nobody uses the English audio option (assuming we're lucky enough to keep the original Japanese, of course).

IGN: Finally, content wise, are any changes planned?

Kenji: Some of the graphics will of course be changed to English, but we're really not taking anything out or thinking about any major changes at this point. We're trying to get some additional content as the development team seems to be really enthusiastic about their game getting released in North America, but too early to tell if scheduling and technical issues may prevent it or not at this point.

I swear to God, R.O.B. was programmed to just murder the player. If he's one of the two usual rivals at the top of the standings, he's always on your ass with red shells. If he's buried in sixth, he's packing blue shells like crazy. It's ridiculous.

R.O.B. is certified broken no matter what game he's in. Chances are if you see him, you should fear the astounding level of hax he will have period.

*Thinks about Brawl specifically while saying this*

Or ITT I pull up GAF gold:

Square just shot themselves in the foot.

I don’t know how much the rest of you know about Japanese culture (I’m an expert), but honor and shame are huge parts of it. It’s not like it is in America where you can become successful by being an [dark hold]. If you screw someone over in Japan, you bring shame to yourself, and the only way to get rid of that shame is repentance.

What this means is the japanese public, after hearing about this, is not going to want to purchase FFXIII for either system, nor will they purchase any of Square’s games. This is HUGE. You can laugh all you want, but Square has alienated an entire market with this move.

Square, publicly apologize and cancel FFXIII for 360 or you can kiss your business goodbye.

And here's the video (yes, that's him in the video):

Quote from: IGN Famitsu Translation
Travis Touchdown and Silvia Chrystel return for the Suda 51 sequel. The new story is set three years after Travis became rank number 1 assassin. Due to heavy investment from large corporations, Santa Destroy has rapidly become a tourist town. One day, Sylvia suddenly appears before Travis and invites him to another assassin ranking battle. At that very moment, Travis's sole friend, Bishop, is seen in somewhat of a pinch as a gang of ruffians take close aim at his head with guns.

What will happen to Bishop? And why has Sylvia appeared before Travis once again?

We're sure these questions and more will be answered as No More Heroes approaches release. For now, here are a few details that we were able to put together on gameplay changes.

Desperate Struggle retains the basic attack controls from the original for everything from Travis's Beam Katana to his wrestling moves. The big new feature from the magazine report is Travis's new dual sword abilities. With two swords in hand, Travis can deal up far more damage.

As with the original, facing off against members of the United Assassins Association (UAA) is one of the main points of the sequel. It looks like there'll be somewhat of a big volume upgrade for Desperate Struggle, as Famitsu provides a look at a fight against the 50th rank!

Nathan Copeland is the name of this low ranking assassin. He's into hip hop -- he even has his own underground label -- and carries around a boom box which can apparently transform into an arm weapon of some form.

Outside of these details, Famitsu confirms a No More Heroes Desperate Struggle showing for E3. But those who want a first look at the game will want to turn their browsers to Famitsu.com on Saturday the 30th, as the site is scheduled to debut the game's E3 video in advance!

50 [tornado fang]ing bosses? Awesome.

Never had problems with Dry Bowser honestly, I already addrssed the Winged Bomba Blue Shell, and red shells were always awesome. Hell, I kinda liked how MK64 handled those too as they weren't totally homing. You still needed wits to use them efficiently.

....Um, the Red Shell was ALWAYS a Homing Shell.

I fought myself to not say anything on that. XD

I'm so glad this site understands that. I got argued down to a bitter standstill over at GAF over how low a pedestal MK64 is on. XD

You know what sucks though? Double Dash was the only MK after 64 that looked like the designers had started thinking in the MK64 mold for levels. I mean look at Wario Colosseum and Waluigi Stadium.
