I've been so brutally poor lately that I can't get this and a lot of other games that I should have had day 1. I'm glad you made the thread though Tai, and I'll be sure to join you in races as soon as I get the game.

Despite the camera's blurriness, it looks really well done Quickie. Strangely enough, I get a weird Ferngully vibe looking at it. XD

Anime & Manga / Re: Bleach (Manga Discussion Mainly)
« on: July 13, 2009, 01:05:46 AM »
Hmm, what to say to kinda encourage you onward.. Let's see:

- The style does change with more time. Kubo started off simple enough, but as the time passed a lot of his skill in character design began to shine. (In before "Where are the backgrounds?")

- Story wise, Bleach has good concepts, decent combat, a good bit of humor and moments of complete brilliance which are usually married to lots of buildup and padding. A lot of people give it flak for the pacing with good reason, but the thing with Bleach and these periods of nothing is that for every moment like this, there are individual chapters and outcomes that come seemingly out of the blue and kick massive ass.

- Since you're reading nonstop for upwards of 365 chapters though, you get the best of everything without the agonizing week long waits to only hear that character A did dramatic pose B and used speech of justice #1B, then conclusion.

- Oh, also, please keep in mind that the manga tends to showcase a set group of the entire potential cast, and a lot of the characters who get sidelined are almost always the more awesome seeming ones. Especially Urahara. I fukken love Urahara. XD

That's all I can really say, it's a good romp once you know what to expect and temper yourself for.

So true. I remember being monstrous with Ness in N64 Smash and pretty decent with him in Melee, but after playing Lucas and trying to go back to Ness in brawl, it's almost painful looking at how badly I play with him. XD

Shut up Lou, you won that one because I was dozing off and though I spiked you. XD

These matches were great. Some of the most hilarious [parasitic bomb] was going down in the later ones though. (Weegee Final Smash + Bumper Matches have got to be done more often. XD)

PictoChat hates me confirmed. Holy crap at Lou's Kirby Panch when I clearly started an Up Smash as Lucas. Then there was PK Thundering off the level thanks to Latios. XD

And lol PB. XD

And here I remember a time when my Ike was superb. XD

Though that match was hilarious for all the mirror moves everyone pulled out.

And I just realized that I left this here for almost 6 matches. XD

Was that the Fox/Sonic/Ike match Tai? I forget, but I remember ripping some new assholes in one of the matches as Fox, only to lose because of Norfair and a strategically placed blast box. XD

Yeah, I was really dozing off during some of that Yoshi [twin slasher] Hyper, I think both of you saw that when I started suiciding more often. XD

They were great matches though. I think I have a few of them saved.
