This and NSMBWii are my two most anticipated games on Wii for the end of this year. I really can't wait to get a copy. There's so much going on in this game at any one point in time and the interaction system means that I'll probably never get bored with it all.

But Hypershell is absolutely correct; it doesn't work. Under the same limitations they can produce something much greater than that.

It's really because no one puts effort into the visuals when it comes to most 2.5D. I remember Super Mario Galaxy's 2.5D segments looking really really nice. I wish if people would put in that kind of effort with 2.5D games.

2.5D is a sin against platforming. But I can see why they do it.

I dunno about this though, it all depends on how it's done really. Interacting with a 3D environment while moving on a 2D plain however needs to be done more.

As a platforming junkie, this thread is impossible for me to answer. Really good options will be popping up in my head years from now and you want me to limit myself to 10?

Although I will say this, the Mario (platformer) series doesn't have one weak link in its platforming level design. Even if it did, the majesty of Super Mario Bros. 3, Yoshi's Island & Super Mario Galaxy would make up for them and then some.

Serious post time though, man the WG is [tornado fang]'d up. Like I know they have to take those measures, but when you look at the people running it all vs. the supposed evil the pirates are, it's really lopsided. Man, I am eagerly awaiting the climax of this arc now.

I'm dead serious, if they don't re-evaluate him and consider him a Supernova or don't give him a bounty of 300+ million berri (cuz you know he's surviving this), I'm gonna be pissed off. His accidental feats are greater development than most other pirates get normally.

I was also hoping to see more of Monkey D. Hancock vs. Smoker since I love both of those characters, but I guess Oda's saving that one for another spotlight.

Also, I just realized that Enies Lobby has been topped in a fewer number of actual chapters for myself when I think about these events.

In other news, I wonder if separating the Straw Hat's was something that had to happen this time around. Like, I'm here kinda wondering to myself if it was either a godsend for the crew members, since a lot of them aren't up to par with Luffy, Zoro & Sanji, or if they could have actually been helpful in this war to some extent.

Or maybe it was done so that the pirate team coming from Impel Down wouldn't seem too overpowered?

I'd prefer they keep Roger and his powers in the dark. Makes him more ominous.

I agree with this. I like the idea that Roger, even with all we know about him and his legacy already, still has such a foothold in almost every aspect of the sea's legends all while never revealing enough about his actual ability.

In other news, I hate you Acid. Now I am fully caught up with One Piece and hype won't let me wait for more chapters to accumulate so I can enjoy a long read again.
