Borrowing a quote from another thread for this one:

dante's inferno is just god of war, but on more than one horrible console.

See, I figured it was going to be something like this from the get go, and since I've never really been pulled by GoW, I guess I'm going to be wary/indifferent to Dante's Inferno. While I won't say that the GoW games are bad, I'll say that they don't have the same pull as the DMCs, Ninja Gaidens, or most recently Bayonetta. It's mainly because whenever I play games along the GoW path, they always seem to be more like interactive flash & bang movies with combat. The scenario, grandeur and "epic" feel are always played up, but the gameplay itself seems to be quite a bit more restrictive in just how much you can do differently.

Something I just remembered to mention in regards to Other M, is it just me or does it look like the coalition of Team Ninja & SPD1 are trying to make Samus truer to the acrobatic side of her nature with the amount of insane looking jumps and handling we saw in the trailer?

I'm seriously looking forward to that, especially if Super Metroid is their benchmark. *o*

This series is damn amazing. That said, I seem to have a thing for the dark horse in the legacy, Prime 2. Something about that game really caught me and won't let go. While I do share a few criticisms with those who have them against certain things in the game, it's currently tied with Super Metroid as my favorite Metroid game.

Wasnt the spiderball guardian Thardus..? I dont remember now.

He's talking about the actual guardian boss from Prime 2 here. I actually really liked that one myself. XD

I know mine is something like 2007, with a similar situation to Fxeni. Gotta love abusing enemy units for extra hits in Area 6 & Zoness. 8B

Whoa, I came in here all ready to agree with a derp, then I saw this:

Fafner is Heavyarms, Harpuia is Wing, Levi is Shen Long, and Phantom is Deathscythe while Copy X is pretty much the Tallgeese.

I thought about it then I realized that this is a frigging nice catch. XD

Honestly, that one hit clipped wings thing in expert mode along with how much time I put into that game when I was younger is probably the reason why I blaze through the game with either a fear of or skill for not crashing into anything hurled at me. XD

That's how you do a hard mode imo.

Also Aquas isn't as bad to medal as a lot of folks think, just remember that formations count and always alway always get those Hit+3 clusters quickly. Finally, Zoness. Zoness in SF64 is another one of my favorite levels of anything ever.

Honestly speaking right now, I think the only reason I underrate Venom 1 is because hard/red route Venom is preceeded by THE best level in the game, Area-[tornado fang]ing-6. Seriously, I'll say the name and I'll remember the music, the intro and all the enemies that needed blowing up and [tornado fang]... I need to play it now. XD

Venom 1 in Expert mode = abuse of the barrel roll.

This level was sooo good, I'm still shocked that it's considered a part of the "easy route". XD

Ok, well now that I have officially received everything I know of so far, it's time to mention it!

- Figure Drawing: Design & Invention by Michael Hampton
- A New Wallet with $10 in it.

...that's it. XD

What's really funny in a strange way about this all is I had more fun with these spoils than I have the entire year so far. The wallet thing is part of a very interesting story from earlier in the year where I lost my 8 year old wallet earlier this year. Anyone who knows me IRL knows that my wallet is second only to my life in terms of things I take care of and keep tabs on. Strangely enough though, I couldn't find it anywhere and it unnerved the hell out of me for a good while.

As it turns out though, my family had actually found it a good time ago and made a sort of joke gift out of it by putting the veteran wallet with all of it's contents underneath the newer one they got me in the same wrapping. XD

The book is another story entirely. Being that I am trying on my own time to work at getting better with drawing for numerous reasons, I had gotten a few interesting books earlier in the year to read from. I did to some extent, and I'm thankful for that, but all the same I found myself still kinda looking for a more visual aid. I told one of my friends about this and they pointed me in the direction of that book. I just got my copy in the mail today and just from reading the first few pages, I'm more satisfied with this purchase than I can describe. It's a really well done book.

And that's all for now folks!

Mega Edit: Looks like Santa was late this year since we got quite a bit more from him after Christmas Day! XD

- Panasonic VIERA 42" S1 Series Plasma TV (The gift to everyone from everyone that stays in my room. 8D)
- 2 Nintendo Wii Remotes & Nunchuks with Motion Plus Accessories in Black (8B)
- A preorder for a kickass new laptop (Granted I might/will pay for it entirely.)
- Nintendo DSi Aqua Blue (It's like my GBC days all over again! XD)
- The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks

Surely the opposite seems much more likely? It was such a wonderfully polished game, after all. Just easy as [acid burst].

Oh no, I actually remember reading it somewhere during that year that all of the work done that year was actually to better fit the controls and world. I really wish if I could find that article. Everything else had been finished from quite some time before.

You know what the problem was with Dinosaur Planet/SFA? It felt like a game with a huge identity crisis. XD

Mandatory Jelly post of "StarFox 64 > StarFox SNES >>>>>> all other StarFox games (lol Command)" goes here.

Also, less story, on foot missions (unless they can be worked out to be more like Sin & Punishment), all range mode missions & characterizations, more Top Gun style snippy one liners and blowing [parasitic bomb] up corridor shooter style in a fast moving Arwing/Landmaster/Blue Marine.

You mean how they delayed the game for an entire year to port it to the Wii as a launch title, and the only things they added were waggle, BLOOM!, and a flipped world map?  Yeah.  I would rather have played the game a year sooner, myself.

+1. Then again, reading between the lines, the Wii controls and the mirrored map are the only things that were worked on during TP's last year of development.

As for Zelda Wii, they've had almost 4 years worth of time to see what works and what doesn't. I don't think they would have listened to the exceptional amount of backlash against TP and twiddled their thumbs in that amount of time. XD
