Posted this in the Random Picture Thread, and I don't even know why I made it:

Just a pointless little post here, but it might be worthwhile for those who played MM9 and looked for every "nonfaithful" thing:

Nexus noted the situation around him, i.e. the army of catgirls, and held a steady gaze. Then, after a minute, he sighed, before looking at the others. "There's only one way I know of that can handle catgirls..." Turning into his Masaru form, Nexus then let loose his "ponytail", releasing long red hair. "Look like a bishie, and they'll hold their claws."

Anime & Manga / Re: Man Arrested for Importing Manga

For some reason?  It's called censorship.  It's this whole "Holier than thou" attitude of trying to make children into little obedient drones with little to no imagination anymore.  It's been going on for a long time now.  I like to call it the Dumbing Down of America.  Cartoons, nowadays, are god awful.  They pretty much have no story, no animation quality to them, and are seen, by this censorship [Top Spin]s, as mindless entertainment for kids.

These are the people who declare that Batman Beyond is too violent for kids, and thus cancel it.  These are the people who censor Heero Yuy saying, "I Don't Believe In God" from the cut, non-Midnight Run version of Gundam Wing.  I'll NEVER forget when I saw that.  There is NOTHING vulgar about him saying that, but it was censored.  So, not to point fingers here, but just remember that line and that should tell you who's really responsible for it.

That's actually why I want to give money to support this guy, because as the article says, it won't end.  They won't just stop at Manga or Cartoons.  Who knows how far they'll truly go.

Grah, all this [parasitic bomb] really pisses me off. Anyone got any realistic ideas of how someone could possibly fix this?  X(

Alright, so I was officially still on the fence...until I saw that new PV earlier today.  8D

...Consider me sold. I went and placed an order for the 20th Anniversary PSP and game bundle (which is fine, because my old PSP was on its way out any way).

EDIT: The last PV has been subbed.

Check it out here: http://community.livejournal.com/ffchaoticcosmos/31090.html

Nice, looks like SE may actually be able to make a fighting game with *gasp* an epic story! (hopefully) Anywho, i'm just wondering who that guy was at the very end. Gilgamesh?  :\

Pfft. People shouldn't take is seriously,  Every system has it's own set of them. Sonyfags complain about their stolen games as if the developer somhow owes it to them, 360fags complain about NOT getting said stolen games, and Wiiaboos complain about not getting EITHER of said games.  Can't people just realize that all 3 are inferior to the Virtual Boy?

Except for the virtual boy thing, I pretty much agree here. ^_^ Also, is SE pulling a Terminator 2 with Advent Children, in releasing various different versions when the original was enough gods dammit?!

Nexus, covered in bandages and having just emerged from an old hut to see RPM being built, stared on with an empty gaze as he looked upon everyone. "Ugh, last thing I remember was getting trampled by those nudebots.. Speaking of, how the hell am I able to walk again?" Looking down, Nexus noticed his legs seemed mostly healed.

"... Must've been a warpgate, I always did heal major wounds when I went through 'em." Shaking his head in dismay, Nexus proceeded to try and find a way out of the village. "I don't belong here. Just existing in this timeline may've caused a paradox in the future or something..."

Walking away, he realized something as he continued along. "Hm, I wonder what the most recent Rockman game was in this timeline..."

Rockman Series / Re: Musings - What Makes X Different From Rockman?
« on: December 14, 2008, 09:46:21 PM »
Let me rephrase that:

It is a grossly ignorant misconception, usually born out of fanboyism of Inafune coupled with an out of context overreaction to an interview quote regarding the origins of MMZ.

Better!  XD

Anywho, I stopped trying to connect the X stuff years ago. X4 is almost like a stand-alone story, as is to a much smaller degree X3, and continuity has been disregarded quite often. X5 seemed like pretty much everyone but X, Zero, and Sigma no longer lived and instead we have a new cast of characters as flat as cardboard cutouts - at least Vile and Cain had some backstory, not counting Mac. The only new character that ever really gets any of that is Alia in X6, and even that's obscure. Hell, Axl is pretty much a walking enigma that was Naruto before we even had Naruto.

Then again, I suppose they could have flubbed up due to making games with so little story, and then jumping into making games while trying to add so much story.  :\

There's a difference between recognizing a contradiction of fact, and picking apart interpretation to attempt to invalidate an otherwise feasible scenario.

That and claiming such screwups are new to X6 is an extremely fanboyish bias.  I will point that in X5 Zero dies from a BOSS EXPLOSION (which he has survived dozens of times over) with no regard whatsoever to how his proximity to it compares to X's.  I'm not sure by what logic a direct retcon such as changing 3 years into 3 weeks (although if you want to get into technicalities, that aspect of the ending could be worked into the "unused" fork in X6 of never finding Zero) is considered less acceptable than writing an event that doesn't even make any sense within its own immediate circumstances.

... Extreme or not, aren't we all fanboys/fangirls given that this is a ROCKMAN SITE?  [objection!]

539
No, you're all crazy and insane!  It needs to be a Giant Mecha MegaMan game done similar to ZOE2!   8D

Giant mechas only belong to final bosses (Wily, Sigma, Weil, etc.), but maybe try implementing a ZOE-style combat system into an RM/MM game, and that might be interesting.  :\

540
Yeah, I'd prefer it to be Scramble Battle.

...but wait, bosses made for a fighter game? Huh?

Although it used pre-existing Robot Masters, ever play the arcade Rockman games?

Honestly, I would find it interesting to see all the different versions of Rockman duke it out in one big battle royale to see just who is the best, but that's just me.  :P

I think it's safe to say that if you play Smash Bros. after the 64 version, one of these two will always be liked. Funny thing is, I remember when no one cared for the Fire Emblem guys. XD

Yeah, I used to avoid playing as them, but Roy grew on me. Took a short amount of time to adjust to Ike, but i'm one nasty player with him on a good day.

Honestly though, Link was my best in the original 64 version, but he seemed nerfed to me in Melee, and Brawl seems only slightly stronger.  :\

I wanna try! but then...I don't wanna try too. D:

Use the practice mode code to try and jump to the level (it was discovered on the previous pages of this topic). Easier and less pain-inducing method of getting there!  :)

Wait a minute! I thought his name was Bartz?!  ??? ???

Different localizations got different names. The translation hack i've got for the ROM has Butz. I think Bartz was from the PS1 version, but I forgot the GBA version.  :\

Which reminds me, everyone admit you used or at least tried to do the Missingno/Mew Truck/other randomness in Pokemon Red/Blue/Green/Yellow. XD

*Is guilty*

Due to not getting into the internet much when I was younger, I didn't even know of the Missingno/Mew trick. Instead, I just hacked a Bulbasaur for Mew. However, I didn't save because I was wise enough to know that such a thing might corrupt my game. Nearly did, too.  :\
