After seeing that location finder for the characters, a little birdie told me to post this for posterity.

(click to show/hide)

So many characters! And the locations, so that's where they are live (most of them), also where is the Lake of Blood located? The Gensokyo map above doesn't really point out where it is... though I'll look it up later.

Thank you for posting this!

Off The Wall / What's the best microphone for voice recording?
« on: December 13, 2010, 03:22:47 PM »
Hey there, I'm looking for the best or a very good quality microphone for voice recording. I plan on doing some voice acting for some game characters and possible for tutorial videos if I ever get around to making them.

I've heard about the truly high quality ones are $1000+ but I don't have that kind of money and was hoping somewhere below $300 or maybe a little bit above it well net me a very good microphone to use on my PC and Laptop.

What do you guys recommended? I'm not sure to go with a dynamic or a condenser microphone, I want to make sure my voice is clear and can be heard without my breathing heard too much (or I'll have to practice not breathing as much when I speak).

Fan Creations / Re: VC's Artwork and Fanart Thread
« on: December 13, 2010, 12:57:12 PM »
^I guess, I did my best trying to draw it how it was drawn from that picture but I can't really measure something properly that was on a video. I'm happy how it came out thought, but I still haven't reach that enlightenment to draw the characters really good like the professionals yet, I had a really hard time drawing the top Rin's mouth or side of her head area perfectly.

LaTale - Chibi Heroes:

I'm a big fan of the LaTale online game and I like the characters and story a lot so I'm making
my own character that helps Iris on her new journey after she defeated the Demon King.

I drew them as Chibis this time, so I can simplify their clothing and to get a rough idea how to
draw them in normal form.

Here are the Character Profiles I made for them...

Character Profile -

CHRIS CORONA
Gender: Male
Race: Human
Age: 19
Birthdate: August 20
Height: 5' 4"
Weight: 167 lbs
Hobbies: Pranks, Drawing, Painting, Hanging out with friends, teasing people he likes

*Interesting fact about my character is that he Duel Wields, but he holds both his swords
in Reverse Grip giving him a very interesting and unique fighting style. He also holds them in
Traditional Grip and can switch back and forth in-battle.

IRIS LIVIER
Gender: Female
Race: Derr
Age: 17
Birthdate: March 12
Height: 4' 10"
Weight: 126 lbs (thinking of changing it to 102 lbs instead)
Hobbies: Traveling, Gardening, taking care of animals, helping others

Please note I made up the information regarding Iris' Birthdate, Height, Weight, and Hobbies as I guessed them (and I have no idea how to measure for a character's height & weight). Her age and race are real as they're stated in the online game itself.

VirusChris - Christopher Yuushi:

Another updated picture of my main character, Chris Yuushi, for my original Manga series project.

This time I'm changing his name from Christozo to Christopher, cause it fault too weird to say or spell
(and besides he was originally called Christopher before switching it to Christozo).

I really got the style down! Could use a little more work, and I think I did excellent on his Trident hair
this time! Looks good!

What are your thoughts?

Gatojin - Sketch:

http://viruschris.deviantart.com/#/d34sgcg

I had this vision of a strange fantasy creature in my head for the past couple
of weeks and I had to draw it!

This little guy is from a race called "Gatojin", meaning Cat Person (I believe),
and they are capable of human speech, magic, and cooking.

I guess I wanted to have my own mascot character of my series I was planning
to make and so this little guy popped into my head. I wish I gotten a little more
time to work on the fur on his chest and the ball of fur at the tip of its tail.

Also Male Gatojin have a "W" fur patch on their foreheads while Female Gatojin
have a "V" fur patch. They usually come in green or blue color main fur and their
chest and tail tail are also white.

EDIT: OK, I'm getting some problem here with deviantArt not wanting to SHOW this picture on this site for some reason. If you want to see it please follow the link, sorry for the inconvenience at this time.

Well that's nice to know, though I did finally found Touhou Pocket Wars EVO Plus with English Translation. It's pretty fun! ^_^

Well I'll go see what the prices are for the other Touhou games later as I have homework to do.

Thank you! This is great source material I've been looking for! Very helpful if I plan to make a fanfic or RPG and want to know where to go or what the world looks like! XD

So where's the pathway to the Hakurei Shrine from the Human Village? Or is there no road?
Also where do all of the characters live?

Posted on: December 07, 2010, 05:03:25
OK... so how do I install the Touhou Pocket Wars EVO games? I can only download the patches(?) from the website, but not the actually .exe file it seems.

Can someone help me out here?

Also BACK-ON is doing the opening theme again, but they're going to work with someone else to perform the song with them. And on a side-note, the Monk looks like he's going to do a Kamehameha.

Also you can already start pre-ordering the game here:

A shame that the "Hunters PSP" will not be released in the US I would of totally gotten it!

Or is there a better one than this? I'm a little more curious on what it looks like, in better detail.

I've been playing this game the last couple of days. Imported my save file so I have the bonus MHP2G content and re-created my old character.

Anyone else got it yet? All the improvements make it an extremely fun game over Unite.

Wait, you have MHP3 already? Did it already come out in Japan already? What was the release date again?

EDIT: Checked the release date, came out on December 1. So what weapon did you start off with?

Is there a tutorial to install Japanese Unicode settings in Vista? The format's a little different so I'm having a little trouble understanding what needs to be done since I need to go to the Language Advanced Setting which I have no idea to access in Vista.

Damn! That's a lot of games! Where do I start! 8)

I do love RPG games, but I also Platforming and Fighting games as well.
So many to choose from!

By the way what would people think if there was a Touhou Action RPG game? Jumping, shooting, etc.?
I think that would be awesome!

Thank you for posting the video! ^_^
I really like the song!

These series is really cool, so should I start with the official Touhou games or fanmade ones?

I'm not sure which Touhou character is my favorite, but I do like both Reisen and Sakuya... does that mean I have a bunny-girl and maid fetish? :\

Anyway what's the name of the song in the video I posted above?

So this Touhou Castlevania-like game is fanmade correct? I really need to start playing the games, I'm getting more interested. It would be nice to make a my own fangame version of the series if I could, but I'm swamped with work and college to even work on my RPG project.

Touhou RPG: Defiant of Shrine Maiden

I wonder where the people find these sprites? Are they from the official games ZUN made or made by fans? I'm amazed by the level of detail.
Also what's the name of the opening song? I know I heard it somewhere from a Touhou-related video, is it from the series as well?

Looks awesome! I'm so glad I got into the Monster Hunter series! I'm buying this day one when it comes out to the US!
Did they mention a US release date yet?

So what Weapon Style are you guys going to use? I've been particularly fond of them Dual Swords, but I also like the Long Sword as well (especially Katana-looking ones).

By the way, how do you go online with the PSP using the PS3's Ad Hoc Mode? I don't know what to do, I downloaded it but I'm a little lost. Like to go online with MHFU just once.

That's the song! Thank you so much Acid! *o*
Now for the song before the battle... that's the one giving me trouble.

So that song was from Xenogear so the dude on GameFAQs was right when it sounded like it came from Xenogear  but picked the wrong song. That reminds me I only played the demo version of Xenogear, never played the full retial version of it. Got to get it... it was quite the fun game to play.

Sorry to bother you guys about this, but does anyone know the songs used in the Saber VS Caster video?

I'm been searching for these songs that play before and after the fight, I found the ones for the other videos, but I cannot find them. They're really great pieces of work I like to find and listen to without the characters talking or battle playing.

Can someone help me out here?

PS: By the way someone mention that the song at the end sounds a lot like the "Small Two of Pieces" song from Xenogear but an instrumental  version of it. Is that true? I'm listening to the song from Xenogear and is does sound like it but I'm not sure... was there an instrumental version of that song?
