Rockman Series / Re: ROCKMAN HOLIC <Ft. Son Goku!>

^Looking good! ^_^

I find the vocals really nice, though the beginning was strange with "X" shouting but overall I really liked it! Though I'm disappointed that there's only two tracks diciated to only the X series.

So far a list of 120 different Digimon partners are confirmed to be in the game and most, if not all of them, are available as partners.

So far we haven't truly confirm if Veemon is in the game or not, but it seems like it (also given by DemiVeemon appearing in the anime intro, but that doesn't necessarily mean he's in) but at the moment not as a partner. I'm kinda mad there isn't Alphamon or Lillymon are in the game (you have Palmon, Togemon, and Rosemon as available partners but no Lillymon? At least Lilamon fills in, but it isn't the same when it's mostly a throw back to the original Digimon World game).

Scratch that, Alphamon is more or less confirmed as well as AncientGreymon and Imperialdramon but it seems to be enemy-only Digimon.

Here's file list of them:
http://pastebin.com/fGdxEYzu
http://pastebin.com/1sZV0JZ6
http://imgur.com/Kh1a1

Please note that Google Translation sucks when translating the names.

Also please not that the list isn't complete as someone got Sunflowermon as a Champion/Adult partner. There's also so far 188 Digimon confirmed to be in the game, both enemy-only and partner Digimon. That's quite a lot for a PSP game, especially when this game was made by scratch, and that the 3D models of the Digimon take up more memory space than sprites which is why we got 300+ Digimon for the DS games.

Hopefully they'll make a VITA sequel to the game with even more Digimon partners and features, but seeing as the PSP is still growing strong in Japan it might be a while. I really hate how piracy are partially reasonable for PSP games not coming out from Japan and that company refuse to bring PSP games over for a system they don't believe will do well or sell well and see it already die in the western countries.

Not a problem, and don't worry I find your posts valuable source of information to make sure do double-check my own and make sure the sentence is perfect or the lines are delivered the why they're suppose to say.

I was hoping these books would help or be a great place to help with learning Kanji.

http://www.amazon.com/Guide-Reading-Writing-Japanese-Third/dp/0804833656
http://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/the-kanji-dictionary-mark-spahn/1110912437?ean=9780804820585

Too bad I still need more Japanese books to help with sentence structure and grammar.

Isn't VixyNyan-sama very fluent with Japanese? She plays a lot of Japanese games and knows the language inside and out it seems to me. Maybe I'll ask her for some assistance.

This might be an alternative for those that didin't like the DS sequel to Digimon World Dawn/Dusk (Championship doesn't count due to it's extremely diffrent gameplay style).

On a side note, Taichi and co. appear out of style, as it's supposed to mimic the Shin Megami Tensei series in the art direction... Though I'm getting yet another Persona 4 vibe on this title.

The Digimon artwork hasn't changed much aside from using their images from the Card Game, with a few exception to the rule (like the black Digimon affected by a black aura causing them to go rampage through the Digital World).

And I guess they wanted to retain their original appearance, though Lili and her butler are not affected by this rule as they're special guest characters. Also there's other players in the online game "Digimon" except they're just players playing through an Avatar instead of physical being in the game itself (which gives me a .hack-kinda vide).

Either way I've pre-order the game and await the day it comes out this week (which is Thursday or Wednesday... I kept forgetting if Japan is ahead or behind US time by a day). And this is the kind of Digimon World game I've been waiting for! Too bad it's on the PSP as I doubt we'll see a US release unless Namco decides to make it download-only in the PSN in the future (which is unlikely).

Ummm.... I'm afraid you won't do much without properly learning Japanese. A language is a little more than just a bunch of characters or words. Even if you'll make a somewhat logical-looking sentence, you won't catch subtleties that can entirely change the meaning. Find a real course led by professionals, at least few semesters long (forget about any "language in a week for dummies"), and when you'll feel fluent at Japanese, think about translating walls of text.

I've took a Japanese course in College, but it's been a while and I've gotten a little rust but I've kept the notes from my class and the tests as well and I'm somewhat familiar with the sentences. I need some books on Kanji, I need video tutorials on understand Japanese sentence structure and grammar, I need to learn as much as I can with the best possible help. No offense but it sounds like you're saying I should give up or shouldn't bother given from your first two lines even though that's not what it means and sorry for saying it.

I like to know the best options from my position right now to learn more Japanese.

You do realize you can fix all that [parasitic bomb] by tweaking Windows settings, right? Right?
Seriously, just google it. It's not so hard.

Figured out about the Desktop sizes recently, but that was rant from before that problem. I've typed in Google, but it doesn't seem to yield the answer I need to fix this problem, regarding program removal.

DIGIMON WORLD RE:DIGITIZE

Digimon World Re:Digitize is a brand new Digimon game that is a throwback to the original DW1 game by using its roots to raise, train, and battle your Digimon in the Digital World. The artist for the Shin Megami Tenshi, especially the Devil Survivor series, is drawing the character portraits while the Digimon use artwork from the Digimon official card game as their portrait. Just like in DW1 you raise your Digimon by training in the Training to improve their stats and depending on their stats will digivolve into a different Digimon and Digimon have lifespans like from DW1 where they go old and die.

You raised Digimon from: DigiTama, Baby, In-Training, Rookie, Champion, Ultimate, and Mega levels.

During that time you can choose to reborn your Digimon into a new Digitama with inherited stats from their previous life or, new to the Digimon World games, choose to make your old Digimon into a DigiMemory so you can call them as allies to attack the enemy (something from Digimon Season 6) and you can carry up to 5 DigiMemories to call upon to save you when the battle is looking grim for you.

Digimon World is a MMO simply called "Digimon" hosted by the GIGO Company, which was the only company to survive a worldwide network shutdown and re-establish network for the entire world, in the story where the Player, his rival and best friend, and a young girl (who is ranked #1 as the top Digimon Battler) are sucked into the Digimon World one day when they entered a certain pass code and they're not the only ones who were digitized into the game. You travel around File Island to back Digimon back into the city to prosper, like Meramon who becomes a chef when you complete his side-quest, and climb the former Mt. Infinity, now called "DigiTower" where the Arena is, to the top to solve the mysterious surrounding the Digital World, the network problems, and the mysterious "black" feral Digimon.

CHARACTERS:

Player (Default Name: Taiga): The main character of the game. His starting Digimon Partner is Agumon.

Nikolai Petrov: The Player/Taiga's best friend and rival who lives next door. His father works in GIGO company. His Digimon Partner is Gaomon.

Akiho Rindo: A young teenage girl that follows the Player/Taiga, and the #1 Digimon Battler for the MMO "Digimon World". Her Digimon Partner is Biyomon.

Mikagura Mirei: A mysterious ice queen woman that has an interest in the Player/Taiga and is a hacker. Her Digimon Partners are Angewomon and Lady Devimon.

Yuya Kuga: A strange young man with connections to the GIGO company. His Digimon Partner is Black War Greymon-X.

There's over 10,000 different accessories that your Digimon can equip, including a pair of goggles, to personalize your Digimon but only after you defeat a certain character.

Also appearing in Digimon World Re:Digitize are two guest characters from the Tekken series, Lili who uses cute Digimon(?) Numemon and Monzemon as her partners and her butler Sebastian who uses Angemon. Not only are Tekken characters appearing in the game, but characters from the Digimon Anime series will make an appearance as well! Taichi (Tai), Sora, Yamata (Matt), and Takato will appear in the Arena during wireless battles... defeating these characters unlock certain rewards, like defeating Tai will grant you his WarGreymon to use as DigiMemory (I'm assuming as it originally stated you gain access to WarGreymon when you beat Taichi, though I think it's strange since you could probably raise an Agumon to a WarGreymon on your own unless there's locked requirement so I think get Tai's WarGreymon as a DigiMemory to help in battle... this is just speculation on my part regarding the meaning of this reward)!

Digimon World Re:Digitize will be released July 19, 2012 for the PSP. Digimon World Re:Digitize also have a manga adaption that was released last month, with only one part done so far released.

It may be that the serscan.sys file was included in a Service Pack upgrade.

My laptop is using SP1, I can't switch to SP2 or so without it causing major problems to my laptop as in the enlarged desktop icons and the removal of some of my programs.

You can find more on google, if this one is not to your satisfaction.
It's about cleaning manga pages and editing in order to scanlate.

In fact, it's all you need for that.

From me, I would say either learn to use programs like Gimp/Photoshop... the former being free. Because most of the [parasitic bomb] you want to do, is best done in those kinds of programs.

I see, thank you for the link.

I have Photoshop so it should be fine, hopefully.

Sorry for double posting, but I was wondering... what's a good textbook to get to learn Kanji?

Should I get the Basic Kanji Vol. 1 and 2 books, the Guide to Reading & Writing Japanese: Third Edition book, or the The Kanji Dictionary: Find Any Compound Using Any of Its Component Characters book to learn Kanji? I like to be able to read and understand Kanji as best as I can... I know the Kanji for "Sun", "Origin", "Fire", and "Mountain" now and that combining the Kanji of Sun and Origin is written as "Nihon" for Japan.

So, anyone have a few good suggestions for me?

Go to HP's website and look through their drivers and find it that way.

Unfortunately the HP's website doesn't have the serscan.sys driver file, as it's part of the XP/Vista Installion CD which I don't have for some reason (Dell didn't ship the disk with my laptop I believe).

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c01750112&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en

This is the link that tells me how to resolve this printer problem I have, but I can't do it as I don't have the disk for serscan.sys file. Not only is that the problem, but for some darn reason the USB cable won't install even though I added the install the driver from the website AND have the USB cable connect to my laptop... the program asks to install the USB Cable to continue which is weird and annoying.

^This is what I'm getting when hooking up the Printer, even wireless as well! Luckily I can still print when connected (USB-only, which works weirdly enough) but not wireless AND I'm unable to scan any pictures into my laptop or Desktop... which is a problem as I do that sometimes.

Any other way?

Off The Wall / How do I translate a manga/doujinshi into English?
« on: July 14, 2012, 07:26:28 PM »
Hello, I'm trying to learn how to translate manga/doujinshi from their native Japanese language to English and I was wondering if there's any good tutorials around to help with cleaning up the pages, how to translate the text without messing up on the images in the panels, and any other advises when translating any manga/doujinshi (besides not being too literal with the words).

I know that wikipedia have the characters for Katahana and Hiragana, but not how to use them to create words and sentences. And Kanji is the toughest one to translate it, but it would help to have something to translate those when I can... I've got three of them down right now; Flame, Book, and Autumn.

There's a few manga/doujinshi I see I like to see in English, but I don't know anyone to translate and I don't exactly want to bother people with them and I don't see anyone translating them anytime soon, or some dropped them altogether, and there's some that were out for a long time there doesn't seem to be anyone translating those anytime soon as well.

So, can anyone help with someone wanting to get his foot out the door and learn how to translating a doujinshi? I'm a newbie, but I'm willing to learn how to!
Any video, written, or anything else tutorials out there I can use to help?

Again, why would Nintendo put Region-Locking on the 3DS, and the DSi XL units.

The gameplay on this game looks interesting, but I'm not going to import a second foreign 3DS just to play games from that region. I hate wasting money when I need to save it for other things, like food and supplies.

Hello, sorry for asking such a question, but I'm in dire need of assistance! I've posted this question on Yahoo! Answers but it got deleted... and no one answered my question during that time.

I've bought a new Printer, a HP Photosmart Printer, but I can't use it as I'm strangely missing a certain file for it to use my Printer... which is ridiculous. -_-
I don't have my Windows XP Installation CD for my Laptop, because for some reason I believe I wasn't given it when my dad ordered my Laptop, and so I cannot retrieve it for my Laptop. Also it's a SP1, I don't upgrade to SP2/3 because for some reason my Icons or Desktop gets enlarged and such making it everything bigger for some reason and I stick to SP1 because I know everything works right.

But let's get back on topic, I need this "serscan.sys" driver file to completely install my Printer to my Laptop to finally have a Printer again and use it. I can't scan or print right now, which is troubling... my grandfather spent nearly $200 on this Printer with the Ink and wire and I can't use because of this.

Can someone help me? Where can I get this file elsewhere?
I just need this one little file to use my Printer!

I haven't seen E3, but it didn't seem... what's the word, interesting or exciting than it should be. I mean, I expected to see a lot of showcasing of new games and such, with gameplay footage... not a slideshow.

There were some intriguing bits, but nothing really hooking me into the games. Don't Nintendo, Microsoft, and Sony hear the people complainants? Don't they want to improve their performance and get attention to their games? I mean Wii U is cool and everything (with someone mention the "U" stands for Unique since the Satoru Iwata (that's his name, right?) keep on saying "unique" throughout the conference on Wii U) and ZombiU is something I like to get, but didn't they show Aliens: Colonial Marines on it as well?

I would've loved to see that!

Another lackluster showing I guess. When was the LAST amazing E3 we previous had that got people excited?

491
Yes, but with Pokemon, a much more profitable franchise.

I haven't played Skylanders, but the Pokemon part will be great! Think of the possibilities with it! Reminds me of the old Pokemon Stadium board game, an earlier version of Skylanders, where you collect Pokemon figurines and battle in the stadium to power them up and level and stuff. I only had a Charmander and a Geodude at the time.

I think it is either 340 or 350. The highest weapon I have ever owned was a Laser Staff at 331. I did see someone online at 342, but that is the highest I have ever seen.

The last chapters I need to finish Intensity 9 are a pain. Magnus Chapter has you playing as Magnus, Lightning Chariot chapter is super long, Hades' stomach has too many enemies that need to be meleed (something I don't got the greatest weapons for), and there are too many trials from Lord Dyntos...

I finally found a good fusion guide here:

Alright! I finally beat all the levels on Intensity 9. The one chapter I really hated the most was Chapter 19. Playing as Magnus was too damn hard. Not even Chapters 24 or 19 compared to that level. Now I get to enjoy my rather lovely gift of 999,999 hearts.  *o*

Got any tips on beating all Chapters on Intensity 9?

I never seen or heard Casshern Sins and Deadman Wonderland so this will be interesting to see. I bet that Bleach and FMA:B will still be around that time, seeing as they're big name animes... hopefully a few others as well.

Definitely going to show the New Toonami when it comes out! I'm supporting this guys from bringing it back! T_T

Well, voices are ok. Still think KH2 had the best voice acting.

However Aeris (English VA) was the only one that I had a beef with... no emotion whatsoever in that voice.

You should try to pick up a copy of The Vilppu Drawing Manual. There's probably copies of it on Amazon. Also, I seriously hope you consider taking some art classes and figure drawing classes. There's only so much a bunch of people online can do to help you out. You'll want to get some formal training if you are really serious about pursuing a career as an artist. ...Then again, that last bit of advice might not apply to ALL artists. Some are already better than others and might not NEED that much formal training, but then again, it never hurts to take some classes to hone your skills.

The Vilppu Drawing Manual... interesting. I'll definitely pick that up, anything to help improve my drawing skills!
Well I'm not exactly pursuing a career as an artist, unless you count becoming a Game Illustrator as I want to get into Game Development and make some games, as well as making my own manga series on the side... so definitely like into anything that can help me, I much to learn.

Figure Drawing Classes would definitely help, I've done drawings are people before but very rarely so I'll definitely keep at it. I'll search around online to see what's the closest place where I live to take those kinds of courses... and the pricing varies from place to place, right?

Not necessarily.

"It's my style!" is mostly used by people who cannot and will not accept critique, and try to justify their artistic flaws (not merely abstract or anything like that, but genuine flaws) as a "style". It's basically telling the other person that you don't want their artistic advice.

I understand, people prefer a unique look or style to their art BUT they need to hear a bit of critique to help fix up their art while keeping their unique style as at the same time the anatomy is correct for it. Kinda like One Piece, right?

Never, EVER use "it's my/their style!" as a defense against wonky anatomy or anything like that. It's not a defense, it's an excuse.

But it's a style, whether or not the anatomy is perfect or not. I've see wonkier anatomy than that and still people like it, though I can't remember off the top of my head what the name of the titles were.

So... does One Piece fall under that category as well?

I do see some errors with the books, but no one is perfect and plus it's ART STYLE for the different drawing. Not all manga need to be all in the same style to be good, though I do wonder why there isn't a lot of "How to Draw" books with different variety of women, they're all thin in a way. Kinda weird, he can't be the only one that does that.

But still the have helped me before to improve in a way.
