The sun was beginning to set in the Kalos region, its rays falling onto the Anistar Sundial in Anistar City. Winston Payne was seated on a bench, and was wiping his forehead with his handkerchief. Ever since his defeat during the Mewtwo trial by the hands of a certain Phoenix Wright... Again... The Prosecution Office decided to send Payne to the Kalos region on an "overseas" attachment. But Payne knew he was sent to Kalos as a form of exile... And to add injury to insult, he was handed one final assignment.
