It's nice to see a new game posted in here that's actually almost done.
You said in the blog that you've fixed things up a bit since the video was made, but I didn't see anything wrong with it aside from a few things needing polish. Off the top of my mind, the physics on the bed platforms was the only thing I really thought could use some, maybe cap your terminal velocity if you can.
Overall, well done.

Anyway, [tornado fang] iTunes. Its started to refuse to put files on my phone again, I swear its either that or randomly removing the Album Artwork from random songs in an album, usually the ones I listen to a lot.
So I was able to get iTunes to start putting stuff on my device again even though it required me to do auto-sync.
I just love how it quietly refuses to add files to my device without any explanation. That really pisses me off.

The languages I'm great with are GML and Lua, though I have a bit of Java experience. Secondly, I can't even find someone on the Game Maker Community forum because the Game Maker version I use is partially obsolete, and the new version is whorishly priced. Which means I would need a job to get it. Which I can't because college and high school kids took all of the great jobs now.You know Java, so why not use C#? I'm doing development with C# through the Microsoft XNA4.0 library, and C# follows the Java paradigm to some extent.

Looks like the US only got with save data backup feature with 6.0.0-11U. Perhaps because of the StreetPass relay?
Going back to the new StreetPass features, it seems that I just can't access the new games yet. They apparently open up a hidden listing on eShop (and actually work) for people in the EU, listing for GBP4.49 / EUR5 each or GBP13.49 / EUR15 for a bundle

Got the notification for update 6.0.0-12E today
StreetPass Plaza got a big update, complete with new bottom screen menu, and new options.
"Shop", "Exchange Corner" and "Check for Updates" are new, while a new "Play" icon sends you to a street where you walk your Mii past the different games, where there are four new games represented by rabbit holes: StreetPass Squad, Garden, Battle and Mansion.
They require a purchase, I think, since I go to the new Shop menu and they are listed there. But when I select one, it lugs about for a bit before Plaza crashes
