This is so much bullshit, It's not even funny.
I mean, you're free to do whatever you wish, but keep in mind what you said just now is entirely not true.

You simply need actual people on which you can rely on. I can understand though, if all the people around you are "uncaring monsters", why would you come to such a conclusion. But entirely shutting yourself off from others is not a nice way to live life.

Welp.
That's fine and dandy, except I happen to live in a place where there's absolutely no one my age with my interests.  I don't drink, I don't shoot.  I don't belong here.  At least in Arizona, I had something in common with someone.  Until that idiot started playing World of Warcraft religiously...

Yep.  Haven't had a good, real friend near me since middle school.  Had a girlfriend, but she lived in an entirely other state, and we only visited twice.  And we didn't have much in common besides, other than Rockman and Pokémon...  Otherwise, online is all I have.  And every time I try to make new friends online, it backfires horribly in some way or another.  And has been for years.  With some notable exceptions.

I'm just a miserable mess no one really wants to associate with.  And I think I'm willing to accept this now.

Welp, it took nearly 29 years, but I think I finally figured it out.

You can't rely on anyone but yourself.

So that's what I'm going to do.  ... because nothing else matters.

... this is going to be tricky, given my naturally social nature.  But in the end, it's for the best.  Live alone, die alone.  No happiness, no sadness.  Just existence.

I used to play Ragnarok Online.  I have a Gunslinger in his 30s, I think.  However, I stopped playing because it was a boring-ass grindfest.  At least World of Warcraft has quests to disguise its menial tasks.  Ragnarok just goes, "Go kill some [parasitic bomb] and bring back the remains.  Do this about 100 times to get to your next level."

I finally had a chance to actually try World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria recently.

...

My old characters are pretty much [tornado fang]'d.  There is no way in hell I can cope with all the radical changes.  Skill trainers are a thing of the past (you automatically know any new skill as soon as you level up), WoW has its own version of Pokémon with "companion pets," the secondary ("ranged") weapon slot is completely gone, all throwing weapons have been removed, a number of skills which used to be considered "common skills" (ones you could train regardless of specification) have been relocated into class specifications, specification talent trees are now unified into 16 talents total for each class and you can only pick one per-15 levels...  It's a god damn mess for an oldbie like me who's been around since the Scourge invaded with their floating Necropoli back in v1.11...  *sigh*  I seriously don't know how I'll be able to cope.

X / Re: People seem to think that Sigma is gone for good after X8.
« on: October 29, 2012, 06:17:47 AM »
You know, the Sigma Virus always seems like it's changing and mutating and such.  Who's to say that Sigma hadn't actually infected Lumine?  To the best of my knowledge, the Copy Chips of the New-Gen Reploids only blocked all known viruses.  I would think that if Sigma was mutated enough, he would somehow squirm into, say... Lumine.  And then inject himself into, say, Axl...  And lay dormant.  Watching.  Waiting...

And then you'd fight Axl in "Rockman X10" and it would all be in vain because after you beat him, Sigma wins, then Axl overpowers Sigma and makes a heroic sacrifice and never comes back ever again.  Until Model A years and years and years later.  :B

I was about to post that, but Rao beat me to it was I was posting.  So... yeah.

It's worth noting, however, that Sigma was also destroyed at Final Weapon in outer space, so the moon thing is probably irrelevant.

It can do whatever the plot requires it to do.
Except drive screws, of course o/'

Incidentally, I was thinking more Chairface Chippendale from The Tick when I suggested that, but it's not like it hasn't been done a million times before.  8D

Wait, that hair/quill-style was also in a dress-up game? /didn't play it
Wait, sorry.  It wasn't an up-turned ponytail.  It was just a ponytail (contains optional mature content).

(And I think StC!Amy's hairstyle was a result of that one bit of Sonic CD art where Amy's quills are being tussled by the wind[?]. There's a French comic where Amy has that same upturned hairstyle)
That'd be Fleetway's comic, I think.  If she had a crossbow and dressed like a punk school kid. (Look dress shirt, cute dress skirt, same shoes.)  And I forgot about that piece of official art.  Heh heh.

I recognize that hair style on Amy from the really awesome "Amy Rose dress up game" that was floating around for a while (which was probably inspired by Fleetway's Sonic the Comic's Amy).  X3  I really liked that hair style.

Because Optic Sunflower needed an orbital cannon.  That, or the same reason the Repliforce logo appears in Zero 1.

Ladd convinced me to try the first one and I decided to just try them both.  The first one is just... crap.  This one, however, is much better than I was expecting!
It was really difficult at first, but as with most Rockman and Rockman-alikes, the more weapons and gizmos you get, the easier the game becomes.  Being able to use the other Robot Masters in other stages as you unlock them is both very helpful and honestly kind of cheap in a way.  There's also an extremely exploitable tactic in the Snakeman battle that involves using Airman to scoot a platform then using Woodman to spam Leaf Shield like crazy.  You don't take any damage throughout the battle doing this, since Snakeman's Search Snakes are destroyed by Leaf Shield.  :B

The game also broke after I beat seven bosses.  It was slowing down while playing sounds or loading stages more and more the longer I played.  Finally, as I went to save, the game gave me about 100 "cannot find object" errors.  Fortunately, I was able to save.

Other than that?  Having fun!  This is a pretty good quality game.  There's a bunch of minor nitpicks I could point out, but eh.  I wasn't expecting another SuperDanny to begin with. (Comes pretty close, in some respect, though...)

I have an original PSP-1001 and it has yet to have any lasting damage done to it that wasn't done by stupidity.  I... dropped it.  On concrete.  Repeatedly.  And believe it or not, it wasn't on purpose!  The only thing that happened was the battery door is a little loose now.  Oh, and I may have broken the old, factory-issue battery.  But it may have also just worn out over time, so I don't know that I did hurt it any.  XD

The fox crossed his arms and gave a grin.  "My job here is done.  Yams away!"  And then he jumped off a cliff and into a spike pit.  The landing probably wasn't intentional, but the jump sure looked cool!

Interesting theory with some equally interesting things to back it up, I have to admit.  But... eh.  I dunno.
-He is insanely difficult to fight, especially with Mega Man (Bass is this game's "easy mode", with all due respect).
He is?  I never had any problem with him.  Buster-only, both with Rock and Forte.  And without any power-up items, too.  X3  Magicman, on the other hand...  What a freaking nightmare.  >_<  Without the Counter-Attacker module, Bass just... can't defeat him.  Either that or I'm just really, really lame at fighting him.  At least Rockman can do three times as much damage in one shot.  Geeze.

... I do wonder why Burnerman has a bomb in his chassis, though.  Maybe King didn't want to reprogram him or something...

Not true.  X and Magma Dragoon had some words.  But no anime cutscene together.  :(
