I think that's how every JRPG starts, except you missed the part where something crash lands into your house (meteor, giant robot, girl from space, etc) which awakens your hidden powers inside, and then you have to fight invisible monsters that have been lurking amongst the human population for years, manipulating the system and creating college and facebook to harvest life energy from students in order to revive their fallen leader.

My day was pretty okay btw.

Gaming / Re: GoldenEye 007 - The first (only?) FPS game I've ever played
« on: December 03, 2009, 10:17:22 AM »
Goldeneye was pretty fun when it first came out.  It also helped start the whole console shooter trend, which I guess might be a good thing, although the amount of them this gen is getting pretty ridiculous.

Anyway, I'm not going to bother comparing Goldeneye to modern shooters, because I'm not an ass.  I can name a lot of PC shooters that were better at the time, but being able to get 4 people on an N64 was always a blast.

There are at least 30 Elpizo clones running around Neo Arcadia somewhere.

The real question is, why would someone want a harem of girly boy robots?

It's called Alice in Wonderland.

I don't know how they got away with that.

Andariel...That's the spider woman one right? I didn't finish that one, PJ got very upset over that. XD

I CLICKED HER TO DEATH

I used to farm Nightmare Andariel for loads of goodies.  She's probably hard if you don't have that ridiculous iceball spell.

I'm just saying it's hard to tell what bosses are difficult in RPGs, because a boss that gave you a ton of trouble could be killed by some other guy in two hits.

What about RPG bosses? They are all brutal

RPG boss difficulty is determined by what level you are and what equipment you have.

It will have different voice actors.  It's going to suck.

I loved the original cast.  Especially Ghaleon.  I know they're going to replace Ghaleon's voice actor with some generic deep voice anime villain guy.

I can think of plenty of CHEAP bosses, but I can't think of any boss that is truly hard under normal circumstances.  I usually have to make bosses hard by handicapping my character somehow.

I think some of the hardest boss fights -- while still remaining fair -- were Phalanx using normal Firebrand, X3 Sigma with no upgrades or special weapons, and Sera with just your buster.  All without healing.  [parasitic bomb] was so epic.

Megaman was in the last episode.

Actually, it was some sort of Megaman/Astroboy hybrid.
