Christ on a bicycle. I didn't know people on RPM were this dense. Anyway... considering that women aren't a mutation, it's no surprise they live longer.

Herp Derp. I don't like having to move from the [tornado fang]ing DIRECTIONAL BUTTON to the JOYSTICK to move.

It's not fluid, it's not even "simple" in the least. And it's also BACKWARDS. What the [tornado fang]? Reversed Direction for the menu? How confusing is that. Trying to move, jump from menu to menu and what have you... ugh.

Well, there's nothing left for me to say here I guess. Hop skip jump

The QTEs had one single button to press, and you could no longer do cool moves like Ars Arcanum or Sonic Blade. You just did the enemy-specific moves with the QTEs, and MASHED MASHED MASHED the X button like crazy, which made the gameplay exceedingly simple.

With this gameplay, you have TONS of Arcanum-like moves to select, each with their own style and twists, you have tons of drive-like forms which you switch to at random, depending on the moves you use (if you use alot of fire moves in a row, you get a fire form) and the whole game seems to move faster and more accurately than the others. It's a deeper system, and to select the moves, you don't have to go through a complicated menu, no. All you have to do is select it from the always-available list with the d-pad, and use the move with the triangle button. The list is ALWAYS there and it doesn't collapse like in KH1 and 2. You get more slots to equip stuff as you go on.

Look at it any way you want it. It's moving from the casual "MASH X LOTSA TIMES" to a more refined system, that doesn't focus on enemy-specific attacks for which you just have to press the damn triangle button over and over.

Rightfully so in the flexibility of the gameplay; albeit, I thought there was too "much" in the system of BBS and thus it gave me the same overwhelming feeling of the menu system. It works, don't get me wrong. It's just too much for my tastes.

However, the reason I like the QTEs is because of the cinematic effect. To be that was the awesome charm of KH2. You were capable of doing crazy, amazing and UNIQUE things with each enemy/boss. That actually made fighting enemies interesting to me. It made meeting new monsters and facing the Orgy guys all the more interesting when you could do crazy [parasitic bomb] out of the blue. I suppose I'm the only kind of person that appreciates the cinematic effect of stuff like that.

But then I guess that is expected of someone that thinks of outright gameplay last. *shrugs* Well, if you're not like me (which is basically everyone here), you'll prefer BBS to KH2. So, give it a shot Acid.

As long as they make it Powerpuff Girls and not Johnny Test, I'll be happy.

Agreed. I could actually stand PPGs. Johnny Test is another example of WTF in cartoons. I hardly know what the hell is going on and why.

Hahaha. I guess we disagree there. I think it's a step back. I liked the QTEs to be honest and I hate how it still feels like a KH1 menu system for the magic. Thankfully it's dumbed down and I can choose everything I want to in the long run. (though I still gotta use shitty [parasitic bomb] to evolve the [parasitic bomb] into less shitty [parasitic bomb] to get something useful)

In terms of Gameplay, it's definitely. KH2 > KHBBS > Card [parasitic bomb] > KH

Those are the only ones I've played though, can't comment on Days.

Anything that is a step back to the first game is a definite step backwards for me.

I'm with you. I [tornado fang]ing HATE moe and moe shows. Japan's gotta learn how to lust for hot sexy dangerous women again.

Now while I don't exactly like Moe all that much, I'm not completely adverse to it. As such, I don't think it really needs to disappear, because the latter is still in the industry.

It's like you said though, the concept is always with potential, how it is used is not always the best use of said potential. That also said however, I find a lot of moe to be pleasing. This is however, definitely not moe. Or anything remotely logical. Makes me think of a Western Cartoon actually. And not the good [parasitic bomb] of old, like Looney Toons and what have you. No, this is like that new [parasitic bomb] that makes no sense at all.

Do all kids have ADD nowadays?

I take it seriously because I take writing seriously.

Nothing wrong with that, especially if it's your unofficial profession and/or hobby.

That seriousness better not be a problem. 8|

333

I know what you mean. I can't decide either!

Epic.

It's okay for a girl to admire both, but if it's a man, then that's another story.

Haha, that seems like double standards. I can't argue it too much unfortunately, because I just don't get along with guys. Guys that like guys tend to rub me the wrong way even further.

334
A little known fact: I like boobs, but I like to just stare at them. It doesn't give me any libido. What does that make me?

Strange.

335
Actually, I prefer cocks.

Well, that'd do it.

I apparently "used to" but I got better, as it were.

Well, there's a deep psychological discussion to be had there, but we'll just say I "got better"

Oh wait, time out, dislikes? My baddd. XD

Yes. That was the confusion.

LAWL?????????????????????

Haha, if only you knew the full extent of disturbia on RPM.

336
He probably grew up around a lot of women. *Speaks from experience*

Mind you there's always a time and place for proper breast worship. XD

Growing up around women didn't make me dislike breasts, trust me. >_>

As long as I can remember, I've always liked breasts. Of course, flat chest isn't bad either. Just saying.

Men like breasts because it's in our genes I do believe. WE ARE SUPPOSED TO.

Uh oh, treading on dangerous ground I think. OH WELL, when have I not pissed on everyone's taboos?

337
It'd be no better than Hypershell staring at Iris'.

My favorite pair is my fiancé's though. >_>

Nothing wrong with cleavage!  8D

Totally gotta discuss that with her first. XD

Incidentally, why isn't there a topic for that yet!?

Am I the only one bothered by the fact that Ven's health did not go down during the fight?

Hax. Seriously haxed.

It's obvious it's someone playing a leaked copy with Cwcheat enabled, infinite health code and probably Instant Magic Charge.

Anyways, it's totally Xemnas. He was obviously warping in through TIEM AND SPEACE!!111oneoneone

Inb4 he's now suddenly a master of the elements and [parasitic bomb].

Lets just be mature and realize it isn't Xemnas but really some new character to be featured in one of the new games relevant to some new plot involving reconnection.

EDIT: On further examination, I decree that it is really all the Orgies in one. Seriously.

Think about it.

339
Too bad for me; I don't like tits...

What? I mean, Rad I get. He draws boobs regularly and is practically seething with homoerotica energy.

But what? YOU CALL YOURSELF A MAN?!

Makes me wonder if RPM has a breast month where we can all put our favorite pair in our avatars

I can't. My favorite pair needs not be seen by everyone else, as it were. Respect and all that.

Incidently.

I think I'll change my nickname to "Boobs" and stick a pair in my avatar.

...and all over my signature.

I approve.

I just quoted it when I told you. =P I love amazingly insolvant arguments on the net. They raise unnecessary delicious drama. 8D

Heck, it's the very point of the Internet.

And that's why I love causing drama. It's a delicious thing. Except when it happens IRL and I'm the one that catches the windfall.

Bitches need to chill out and take their frustrations out online where most don't give a [parasitic bomb].

Not with the same old tired subject. It's like the abortion debate.

Naw. Everyone knows abortion is gonna happen and therefore is not interesting in any way. That and well... it's abortion. Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.

Drugs on the other hand... you DON'T. There is no reasonable reason to do drugs unless you're keeling over in pain.

And I am in constant pain everyday and I don't take [parasitic bomb]. I legally should be taking strong pain meds or even medical pot. But I don't. So, yeah.

Correction. You have TWO things in common with me.

We do? DO TELL! I MUST UNDERSTAND THIS NEW VENTURE!

Oh gods, I have something in common with Flash.

DO NOT START THAT DEBATE
Jesus [tornado fang].

Haha and why not? Why NOT have that debate? Forums are for debating and going at each other's throats unendingly.

You know. Circle jerks. I say bring it on.

Also, Random Fact: I really really really really hate pot. Any drugs honestly, but pot really did ruin my childhood of all the other drugs. And that's pretty [tornado fang]ing stupid.

Of course, I could rationalize that it was HUMAN ERROR that ruined my childhood. (and I do, people around me are [tornado fang]ing idiots and unable to control themselves) But pot helped.

*sits back and waits for the windfall*

Rockman Series / Re: Fire, Ice and Elec Why does Capcom like this so much?

In Star Ocean 3, wind and lightning were the same thing. Kinda makes sense, seeing how both phenomena occur from the sky.

While they are phenomena that are sky oriented, you wouldn't call hail a lightning element would you? It's clearly ice, with wind. You wouldn't call a maelstorm part of the wind, right? It'd be water.

Anyway, point being, they should be separate. They effect separate things. Lightning can damage machines, wind would just batter them at best.

There's no reason we need to dumb ourselves down by picking only a trifecta that doesn't really even oppose one another, nor should we have to lump them together.

I HAVE A DREAM, WHERE LITTLE WIND BOYS AND LITTLE EARTH GIRLS CAN DRINK FROM THE FOUNTAIN OF RPGS FREELY WITH FIRE, ICE AND OTHER [parasitic bomb].

This and what I said about people being in a Legends forum.

Anyway, dickitude aside, I thought the spoiler was pretty brain breaking myself. I'm still excited about the story and it's presentation in BBS, so no worries Mirby. Not everyone is gonna [acid burst] all over your parade.

I hate a lot of [parasitic bomb].

I also hate a lot of [parasitic bomb] going on right in front of me but due to the stupidity of power plays and twisted rule systems, I can't fix it without catching windfall.

Contemplating whether or not I should assert my position and fix a few things in front of me.

Also, I want pizza.

Bless their heart.

Electricity is pretty overdone personally. A lot of things use these three as the prime elements. It saddens me honestly, wind is overlooked. Earth as well. Hell, in the FF series, Wind and Earth spells are a minority at best. Non-existent at worst.

I miss the days when the main character was Wind elemental instead of Fire or Lightning, the two most common.

Err... treading on RPG grounds more than Megaman grounds now.

Anyway universally, Fire, Ice, Elec is the main trifecta.

Cliché stuff? It's from the game "I Have No Mouth But I Must Scream", based on the short story of the same name. It had who I consider to be the greatest AI enemy of all time (along with Hal 9000 of course), AM. A computer who held a group of remaining humans trapped in an endless cycle of constant life and death. It's got an amazing story, and it's pretty freaking awesome.

But hell, look no further than SHODAN from System Shock. Or GLaDOS from Portal. Or Durandal from Marathon 2. But Star Ocean? Best fictional AI in games? You gotta be shitting me. That's like saying Devil May Cry 4 has the best love story in games, or something. Hell, AIs are a staple enemy in sci-fi games, there are tons of fantastic examples of all kinds. You pretty much gave the worst example you could.

So AIs that literally transcend beyond the creator's expectations, develop living, breathing and thinking personas and then step out of the goddamn game is the worst example? And I'm merely footnoting here, given over the course of Star Ocean series, the way their world develops and evolves is correlative with our OWN [tornado fang]ing world. Some genius made a world that exists on the level of our own by WRITING [tornado fang]ing CODE.

Right. This discussion is going in utter circles. I'm done, I've got enough issues today than to circle jerk all over the thread right now. Someone let me know when there is an update relevant to the game released.

[tornado fang] you all. ADA is the best AI in games EVER!  0v0

Herp Derp. ADA was pretty awesome, admittedly.

Lost me. Quoting stuff that is obscure to me doesn't help I guess. Though from what I've been told, it's actually pretty cliche stuff. But I don't personally know, so I won't deny it. I know what I do know though and I stick to it.

I'm on of them. As far as SO3 goes anyway.

I'm sure you have your reasons. I simply look beyond that opinion because there was clever writing there and it wasn't that far of a stretch for the world they were already in. Let us consider OPAs that make no sense outside of GOD. So yes, they came up with a way to explain it. Was it the worst way? No, not at all. Was it the best way? Can't say there IS a best way, subjective opinion and all that bullshit.

But was it good? Yes. I do believe it was a good choice. Could it have been better? Yes and no. Opinion again really.
