To be fair I already suggested ignoring him but honestly I know this won't happen because people will keep feeding him answers to his stupid questions or replying to his nonsense on why he won't evolve his pikachu or whatever (myself included).

Seriously though the guy needs to look [parasitic bomb] up himself. There's no reason he needs us to look up every damn thing for him.
I think he means you ignore him and what other people are doing.  That's pretty much what I'm doing.  Though I really shouldn't have had to explain the benefits of evolution to him.

Only if Gaia-level incompetence is ban-worthy.
How close is he then?

Either that or once he decides he's had enough of people being contrary to his opinions/reasons about stuff or getting annoyed by his stupid [tornado fang]ing questions.
Or does something ban worthy, which honestly would be surprising if he did.

I really need to stop replying to him. I can't let his ignorance get under my skin like it is.

Hell everybody does so maybe he'll just go away.
He'll most likely go away once the the X and Y thread dies down in less than a year since it's pretty much his home here.

I'm not really irritated by it, but having to explain the benefits of evolution really shouldn't have happened. :\

Also had no idea this thread existed.

FTR, I don't consider gym leaders as main characters per se. When I say that, I mean characters like Red, Green/Blue. Or whoever is seen for more than 10 episodes worth. Yes, gym leaders are important, but you only see them once or twice, or on special occasions like Brock. But you should have known what I was talking about when I said main.

Besides size and design difference, whats the point of evolving a pikachu? New moves I guess? I'd imagine by this point it's defense and hp won't change much even if I did.

I seem to recall one game where one of my pikachus seemed to have had a decent defense. Did they change that, or does it depend on the stats? I read that even if you caught 1 kind of pokemon, catching the same kind & same gender, but could differ on stats and personality trait.
All of his stats get upped, including most importantly his speed and both attack stats and since you kept your Pikachu for that long he's learned all the moves he needs to learn anyway.

I don't count Manga as books personally but I have exactly 16 manga. Out of that only three complete sets.
I count those as books.

I think I have like... 10 books.

By that I mean books that I own, my parents, my mother especially, have tons of [tornado fang]ing books.
I just have a crap ton of manga, and I mean a crap ton.

A friend of mine in anime club says he has probably over a hundred books, my house has at least 8 book cases worth of books in one room, including an entire encyclopedia set from like 1996 or something.

I still don't see that as a big deal, I mean it's not a Slaking or a Power Trick Shuckle, raised Attack stauses don't do much to make Light Ball Pikachu ban worthy since again you can knock it out with one hit.

Tournaments seem to ban anything that they deem unfair. This of course goes for more than just pokemon.
But the only thing that Pikachu gains is higher Physical and Special Attack and maybe Volt Tackle which really hurts it since Pikachu is again a Glass Cannon.  It it raised Speed too maybe but Pikachu can still be knocked out in one hit especially by something like a Weavile which it much faster than him or even Raichu when bother have Speed Raising Natures.

I see. Alright then. I don't gain anything from saying something.

As far as I know, Pikachu is a the very definition of Glass Cannon and is usually only good with a Light Ball, which has been banned in most Tournaments, I think.
....A Light Ball Pikachu is seriously banned? :\

Ugh, Clefant, really...?
You better get used to it, but really if he wants to keep his Pikachu I have no real problem with it even if those reasons are completely and utterly superficial.

The male ones that I get will be Flareon, Jolteon and Umbreon, Vaporeon and Glaceon get to be girls so Sylveon isn't the only female eeveelution I have.
What about Leafeon and Espeon?

To this day I'll never comprehend why Altaria is considered a dragon when its just a [tornado fang]ing bird with cotton balls glued on it.
You know now that you mention it, Ho-Oh would have been way more awesome if it was a part Dragon type.

Good [tornado fang]ing lord I hate Glittering cave now.

I just want an old amber so I can get a [tornado fang]ing aerodactyl and the game is spitting [tornado fang]ing Dwebbles and Hard Stones at me like they're going out of style.

And I missed getting Solrock the first time through and now all I can seem to find are Cubones.
You want me to give you an Aerodactyl, I have plenty.

You do have to fight them again, but it gives you a chance to grind and buy more items.

No you get booted out of there to the last Pokemon Center and lose a little bit of money.

And you can breed more Pikachus.

I didn't have a Grass type, either.  I went in with Fire/Psychic, Fire/Flying, Fighting/Steel, Normal/Flying, Psychic, and Bug/Poison.  None of my teammates had a Grass-type move, either.  The Elite Four wasn't a problem for me.
You were also probably the most over leveled out of all of us.
