I don't know what's exactly going on and I don't give a [tornado fang].Pretty much, plus the PR disaster of the New Year if this keeps up.
But from the couple of things I read, it's the fanbase/community being RETARDED.
Go figure.
I'm actually a pretty good schmoozer, but I have little to no patience, and I'm not the best at tolerance. I have no problems telling people to [tornado fang] off.Yeah same here to be honest. I can be patient and tolerant but not that patient and tolerant in a situation like that.
Patience & Tolerance are the key factors. I mean, to be blunt, you're dealing with naive, bumbling, impatient, whiny idiots, and I'm not just talking about gamers here. People want things their own way, and a lot of times they will [sonic slicer] their way into getting it. It's like dealing with a child, except these children have you by the money balls a lot of times. As a PR person, your job is to not only try to make everyone happy while doing it in a respectful manner, but resist the unbelievable urge to tell them to [tornado fang] off.Yeah I probably wouldn't be a good fit either, dealing with people in real life and damage control I can do, but not something like that.
And that's just doing it in person. Imagine trying to deal with gamers on a FORUM. They are faceless & they are fearless. They don't have to worry about looking like an ass to anyone they really care about or know, and boy do they look like asses. Look at what the Capcom-Unity USA forum had to deal with, and STILL has to deal with after the Legends 3 debacle, when they had NOTHING to do with it. Nothing.
This is why, while it is very awesome to give people input into the creative process like this, a lot of times it's a baaaaad idea. Especially over the internet. You have too many conflicting opinions and too many crazy people with their heads so far up their ass that it creates an ass-head loop paradox. Like I said, they are faceless, and they are fearless. And they are, for the most part, unsatisfiable.
For one, being very, very, VERY good with words, and knowing exactly what to say and how to say it. It's basically speechcraftSo like my Business Communications class basically.

i at least, am willing to settle for her remaining as intermediary between the Community annd Comcept, but removing her as an Admin, and taking away her Admin power. That's a compromise I'm willing to swallow. Although ideally, I just want her gone, she's been far too polarizing a figure. I don't want her fired, I'm sure she has talents she can offer elsewhere in the project, but as far as being the head of the community, No.

Poor girl isn't good at calming them down and is making things worse it seems, but honestly this is just out of control. This sucks.
I have to agree with Dickman. Close the damn forum. It's terribly formatted and run by an obnoxious drama queen with no sense of proper business practice.
With how much drama is coming in before the game even sees any bit of production and play-testing, I'll be surprised if it even gets off the ground at all.
That's a lovely image.Well it's accurate I think. It's utterly disgusting, I normally don't care about fan base trivialities like this since it's expected in a lot of fan bases, but this just sickens me.
