Dragonite is the only 6IV 'man I got deliberately. I happened to stumble on a 6IV Fletchinder when I was honestly only intending for 5, but then it didn't have the right Ability anyway.

Natures are the most important thing though since they affect your stats by 10% and EVs can give you a max of 63 bonus points, but I don't know how many points IVs give.

In this case that Characteristic is for Special Defense and it's 28 which is the lowest for the Special Defense Characteristic but if it didn't have the Characteristic for Special defense it would be lower.

I look at the Pokemon's stats, look for a nature that lowers the attacking stat that is already balls and one that either raises a defense, speed or on occasion the other attack stat, if I'm raising Speed I would want a max Speed IV along with the Nature, which is Alert to Sounds plus Timid or Jolly, have babies with all that and decide what I want to EV from there.

While a decent counter to Fairy, it'll fall easily to Firebrawl, Vulcan, and Shiva. Plus St. Elmo and Trak's other fire types, gah so many fire types! I also plan to get a Chespin when we get to Verdanturf town because this RP needs more adorable Chespin!

Unfortunately the EVs in Defense doesn't really benefit it at all since his Defense is really [acid burst] poor, and I mean really [acid burst] poor. If it were me I would have raised Runaway's Special Defense and Speed since his Special Attack is already amazing. But that's just me.
