People are complaining about the censorship saying that rather than censoring it they should have just removed it altogether since it looks bad but that's a stupid idea because it will be uncensored on the blu-ray release. Wanting them to change something completely just because you can't handle a dumb shadow on a TV airing is ridiculous.
Not to mention it would be impossible to remove the cigarette since it wouldn't make sense otherwise.  But yeah it'll be uncensored in the Blue Ray release, still it's weird since Jojo is targeted for a mature audience so I have no idea why they need to censor it just because a minor is smoking.

It's from just before Jotaro does his " the blood vessels on a stand user's nose will show through their skin if they smell smoke" trick.

Him actually lighting up was censored because he's underage.
Ah okay so it's more mind games that happen to involve Jotaro smoking even though he's not really a smoker.  Classic Jotaro.

Ah so he was indeed smoking, it's funny because I don't picture Jotaro as a smoker.  It's been awile since I read part 3.

It almost looks like Jotaro is smoking but that can't be right since he only smoked once to mess with D'Arby and they're nowhere near that part. And he certainly doesn't look like he's flipping us off either, not with that expression on his face, then again I forget how often Jotaro actually flips people off.

His daughter is another story.

It's a remake, so I'm doubtful.
I honestly think they would, but we'll see when the time comes.

Considering that it means he goes to local conventions and I can go along and get in for free with his press pass, it's a pretty sweet deal. 8D
That sound pretty cool actually.

He's with Reuters now, so he gets paid pretty well.  But, again, he's usually doing multiple assignments for them, the Philadelphia Examiner, a magazine in Maryland, and the Dillsburg Banner.  He spends all day everyday writing articles and conducting phone interviews.
Sounds interesting.

This is my dad being my dad.  He doesn't want to work in an actual office, or be a beat reporter like he was when he was with the Gettysburg Times.  Freelancing offers more freedom in assignments and a lot more leeway in how he writes his articles.

Unfortunately, it's freelance.  It's not regular employment, so in order to make a living out of it, you have to work multiple jobs.
That's sort of understandable I guess, in both respects I mean.

With her case, it was a simple matter of waiting till the last minute. That was the primary reason she said no. They had months to have her train someone and they waited 2 weeks before she left.
Yeah 2 weeks would definitely not be enough, and again even 3 months might not have been enough either if they did ask her then depending on how complex her job was.  I don't know how "sudden" her retirement was in her organization, but a big thing with HR is you have be able predict turnover rates and plan for them accordingly.

It's going to be the same problem with my mom's company too, her boss loves her a lot and hates the idea of her retiring so she's been trying to train a replacement.  The problem is that said replacement also works in another department so it's hard to dedicate some training for her specifically, and even then she would only be able to do the Quality Assurance Management job my mom does.  She's also in charge of Production and for the past few years she's been making programs too, along with the fact that she does pay roll which I honestly have no idea how it works compared to the others.

I know that they need to outsource for a Programmer so my mom can train them to maintain and add on to the programs she's making, and her company excels in outside source recruiting, though I honestly don't know what they would do for Production Management since that's not something I'm familiar with compared to Quality Assurance management.

It's honestly interesting to think about even though I still have a lot to learn as I said.

My dad decided that regular salaries were for dorks, so now he does freelance for multiple publications at once just to keep his head above water.

And I heard a ruckus in my room and found that Mabel had climbed into a bag.
Was he not happy with his job, or was this your dad being your dad?

They actually asked my Mom to stay on past her retirement date to help out part time and train people. Keep in mind, she told them at the beginning of the year she was retiring in April. That's 3 months notice, and they still waited till the last minute.

She said no.
Yeah I don't blame her not that it would help since 3 months would probably not be enough depending on where she was working.

According to my class it's hard for an organization to do training right for multiple reasons, sometimes they don't have the money to do so, they start too late in succession training (supposedly it's ideal to start 5-10 years before someone retires) and even if they do good succession training it can lead to organizational inbreeding, and not to mention random changes in the organization itself among other things.   It's ridiculously complex and hard to pull off but you have to adapt somehow someway.

It's not a strict formula mind you so being flexible is important.  At least that's what I learned so far, I definitely have much more to learn.

Heh, my Mom retired a month ago, and she STILL gets calls at home on how to do her job.
I can totally see my mom just working part time in that place instead once she retires.  She does too.

So thanks to my classes and some knowledge of what my mom does.....I have discovered that once she retires her boss needs to find 3-4 people to replace her instead of 2 like I initially thought because she does 3 jobs at once plus pay roll.  God she does way too much. :|

Then Zeta should have no trouble using her airbending against Hakuneko, am I right?
More or less, razor wind would ruin that anti gravity suit no problem.  However Hakuneko's speed could still make this hard to hit her though and I doubt a wind current would slow her down thanks to her skeleton.  So yeah I think it's more even honestly now that I think about it.

4791
If the hammer was actually made of lead to begin with since Hakuneko can only manipulate/control lead; then it'll be a problem.

They're functional, but she doesn't open them all at once, like in the picture. Otherwise she confuses herself, I guess or... something like that.

Something's wrong with the notifications, might have to check on that in the meantime.
The Hammer is not made out of Lead, it's a reenforced Titanium.

4792
I imagine that once Zeta becomes more proficient in Airbending she would be Hakuneko's anti thesis, she's actually better at weapons technical skill than Airbending her Spear Hammer thing helps her with Airbending to some extent but if you take that away her Airbending is severely reduced in power.  However she is trained in martial arts so she's not defenseless.

Also are Hakuneko's back eyes functional or astetic?

4793
His eyes look really feminine to me for some reason.

4794
These latest ones looks pretty interesting, Hakuneko especially.

She doesn't seem too over powered but still powerful, though due to the skimpy clothing around the chest area I'm for some reason imagining a weakness she has is if that gets sliced off her huge boobs would distract her and hamper her physcially since I imagine they don't bounce because of the anti gravity and if that part of the anti gravity suit is severed they would bounce a lot and make her really uncomfortble.  Not to mention making her skeleton around the chest area heavier of course.  It's weird but I can't help but notice that.

EDIT: Also I woukd recommend that the regeneration doesn't equal healing to limit her a bit more, like Naruto regeration even though I hate Naruto.  Like it puts a strain on her and the more she regerates in a fight the harder it is to regerate again in the same fight and it tires her the more she uses it.

All actual books have numbers, and Kindle apparently fails to do that. It tries to be a book, but it can't.

Also, parodying The Little Engine That Could.
Thanks for explaining that,  I knew it was parodying The Little Engine that could but I didn't understand the first part until you explained it.

Well, you ARE drying up afterall...
I was expecting "Flood" with a kicking bass beat and more pronouced trumpets, not tinny twinkling nightmare fuel.  I mean I always enjoyed Lavender Town's theme and never considered it nightmare fuel, but "Drought" is most certainly pure unadulterated nightmare fuel.

So since I have never played Ruby before there was one music piece I never heard before until today, "Drought".....and it's pure [tornado fang]ing nightmare fuel, I like "Flood/Heavy Rain" much better.

So here's some head scratching trivia I just learned thanks to TvTropes.

Zangoose and Seviper are well known for being enemies with each other to the point that it's a genetic hatred, however they can breed with each other.  That's just weird and puts a new spin on the whole hate sex thing.

Huh there are no actual page numbers in Kindle, or at least Kindle for Android.  This confuses me.

Pages: 1 ... 190 191 [192] 193 194 ... 948
