Never mind... it's not worth it. >.<

Even if I would find a legally-caught shiny legendary (either on the field or from events), thanks to the ways of internets and hacking, people won't believe it to be a legally-caught shiny, because many hackers like to make legendary Pokemon shiny with cheating or tools, and they get called cheaters.

That's not a good thing for someone who actually catches Pokemon legally.

Not to mention the chances of even getting one is roughly 1 in 8000 anyway, I mean my friend tried to get a shinky Kyogre and gave up after the first day.

Hey at least you're not trying to breed 10 like I am, but at least 6 of them I definitly want as Adamant.  I'm also thinking of training a Gardevoir since Lucario and/maybe Roserade are my only Special Sweepers.

Also, it gains base power when you receive damage first, so a defense/special defense boosting nature would be better.

Mamoswine's defense and special defense are really low so it won't matter if I do have a nature to raise it up it won't make much of a deference anyway.

Based on what you mentioned...
It's seriously not easy to predict how many eggs you need.
Sometimes, with luck on your side, within the first 5 eggs you'll get it.
Sometimes, maybe 10++ eggs.

Just breed, just your Ditto have the orgy of its whole lifetime.

Considering the fact that I have 33 Budews with the wrong nature, although one I might raise for an alternate strategy after Ev training the rest, it'll take almost just as long and the only other Ditto I have is in my Pearl game.  So have a plan B that utilizes Will Gallents vast supply of Eevees, evolving certain ones into Espeons and catching the Dittos for me.

Budew has to be Calm since she or he will be my Special Attack shield, Metagross has to be Impish since it'll be my Physical Attack shield,  Mammoswine will be Brave since I want the lowest amount of speed possible for my Avalanch strategy and is the high HP meat shield with rest, Lucario is going to be Modest since it'll be the lone Special sweeper, the othe 5 have to be Adament since they're all Physical attack power houses.

Uh... maybe you could chain for Ditto using the PokeRadar with a leading Pokemon with Synchronize (obviously with a nature that you want).
But if it's HG/SS, then I don't know what to say.

It is Soul Silver.  And I'm even more insane because I want to do this with 8 other pokemon.

Curse is a far better option; Avalanche will more than likely be going last, so you may as well take advantage of it!

As I said before I already plan for it to be very slow without a lagging tail and it's going to be my high HP meat sheild so I'm going to teach it Rest and give it Leftovers.

Okay my friend is going to hack my Sould Silver game with all the items I may of may not need and am going to start the process of getting and EV training the 9 pokemon I want, but I'm unsure about 1 of them.  I want to train a Metagross to be a physical attack shield like I would for my Roserade and Mamoswine, who are a special attack shield and a high HP meat shield respectivly. 

The problem is I don't know if I should teach the Metagross Rest or Magnet Rise, any suggestions?
