I know that I mean I already have the bare basics for my normal teams with one slight diference: Fire, Water, Ice, Flying, Dark, and Grass instead of Electric.  That means that my main team would proabably be Blaziken, Feraligater, Mammoswine, Salamance, Absol, and Roserade.  Then if the situation calls for it I'll switch if I know the team ahead of time or just switch one of them out with Metagross to cover all angles.

I dunno.  I caught Lugia in my first Heavy Ball, myself.  Quite surprising.

Ho-oh, on the other hand, was a royal pain.
I think it took only about 5 ultra balls for me when I did it the second time, because I forgot to save, and I had lv 30 pokemon. :\

Typhlosion is the single Pokemon who most makes me miss the old "stat experience" system.  It made mixed attackers a lot more viable, and a Fire-type with both Thunderpunch and Earthquake could bust a lot of heads.  These days that's not practical anymore unless you use Flare Blitz as your STAB move, which means lots of recoil and, in Typhlosion's case, ignoring his stronger attack stat.

Yeah I kinda miss how EVs and stats didn't matter as much as it does now.  I mean this is the very reason I'm training 10 pokemon, and possibly more when White comes out, so I can cover my weaknesses and such.  The only problem I'm having is that I don't have enough Special Sweepers I mean the only ones I have that emphasizes a high Special Attack stat are Lucario, Roserade and Gardevoir.  I mean that might be my only true weakness since the rest are mostly geared for Physical Attacks: Feraligater, Mammoswine, Absol, Salamance, Metagross and Salamance.  Blaziken and Lucario can go either way but I think it'd be better for them to work with the strengh they work best with.

Another problem I'm having is that 3 of my pokemon are part fighting so, except for my Lucario and Gallade when it comes to Psychic attacks, they mostly have the same weaknesses.  And then there's Absol and Lucario together even though it was only for the GoRPM pokemon arc I'm never going to make that mistake again.

Plus I'm so insane that I'm going to train some of the same pokemon with a few alterations once I get enough dittos with certain stat and I think I'll mate 2 of them together soon.

Although I'm thinking that these pokemon can possibly beat Will Gallent's pokemon when I'm finished with them since I have 3 tanks and he only has a partial one which is his Metagross and I'll probably have to match mine against his since it'll probably be the only pokemon that can witstand his Explosion.  I hope I can beat him, his new team, and his rabid Eevees on EV steroids!

You want to talk AI abuse?  Fighting against Blue, I had Jirachi wall his Exeggutor, soaking up enough Leaf Storms to send his Special Attack through the floor, then Flash his accuracy into nothing.  Switch in Dragonite, build up SIX Dragon Dances, and enjoy the destruction.

The *ONLY* reason that was not a clean sweep was two Intimidates and a Roar later (I was using Extremespeed for accuracy; didn't have Dragon Claw or Outrage).  Nevertheless, wiping up the broken pieces of his team after that was easy pickings.
Huh it kinda reminds me of that one pokemon battle with Will and another one of my friends against 2 more of my friends.  Will and the other guy won with both of their Dragon pokemon using Outrage and Will's Metagross using Explosion.  All of them were out of pokemon except for Will who still had 2 pokemon in wait.  Oh and it might [acid burst] you off that Will's dragon type is a Garchomp.

Plus my gym battles latly seemed to be me fighting againsted them with unEv trained pokemon, under leveled, and making their strongest pokemon run out of PP for their strongest moves and healing them with a vast supply of potions.

Yeah that's true but when AI don't ever switch it's pretty helpful especially when you use defense curl first.

Panda tails aren't that long and besides in a way Spinda is already a Panda.  Now that I look at it again it looks like an otter too.

Dragonite has and always will be great. I can't have a finished team without one. <3

On a side note (and more related to the current topic) what's wrong with Fire/Water/Grass starters?
I don't get the problem either.  Honestly it's a great balance of types that is in an elemental triangle that diffuses each other out so that no pokemon is overly powerful.  The key is to raise said pokemon right to be your ace of spades so to speak like with me and Torchic and Totodile.  If you're pokemon is over powered from the get go then there's really no point of raising them quikely since you don't have to worry until a higher leveled pokemon shows up.

Though the only problem I see with this is with every single generation of starters there is always one or 2 pokemon that is initialy when it comes to base stats in their final evolution compared to the others it seems.  Then there are others who don't have enough attack variety to match their main stat, I'm looking at you Typhlosion.  Even though he can be deadly with a Sunny Day and Flamethrower/Solarbeam combo can be absolutly deadly the only other type of special attack move it can learn would be another fire type or Focus Blast which would lower it's Special Defense and make him even more vunerable to water type attacks than he already is.  Lucklily the new egg move for him is Extrasenory but how often are you going to have a Female Typhlosion any way?  That means you're stuck with a pokemon with pretty low type variety or one with 2 support moves.

The point is I like the basics that have been laid out since the beginning but I wish the game developers would be smarter when considering stats and move sets.

*shrug*

Also, GameSaver found this:

Most convincing to me.
Ooh a fire beaver, racoon or teddy bear I like that.

Oh, they are all lvl90. 8D

I just like to be fully prepared. XD
I want to try what my friend Will did, EV train my pokemon and fight him in my 60s.

You know there was a swarm of Ralts today and yet I couldn't find one Calm Ralts with Sychronize, but I did find a nice Adament male one that I'm going to train and a female Modest one I'm considering for a Gardevoir.

Well, given that Levitate would be its only edge over Dialga, we'd basically be looking at a repeat of the Flygon/Garchomp situation we have now.  I personally would rather see a levitating Fire/Dragon.

Seriously, I don't know what they were thinking with Garchomp.  I'd almost swear they were trying to troll the fan-tournament players; if there is such a thing as a borderline between OU and Uber, then Garchomp is the textbook definition of it.
Would it be bad if I said that I prefer a Salamance anyway?

Chikorita is a plant and I thought Cyndaquil was some kind of fire rodent.

I love swams, especially since I got a Modest female Ralts with Synchronize after the 3rd try.

Speculation hooo!

A grass duck, a fire rabbit, and a water racoon.  8D
I don't know the one that seems grass looks like a plant rather than a animal this time and the one that seems to be a racoon seems to look like a beaver or otter to me.  But if that's a fire rabbit that's probably the one I'll choose with no hesitation.

Double post. Sakura did it, probably by accident. Normally you can't double post, but some people forget sometimes or its a new page. Its not like you can't, but it isn't recommended. If you do it by accident, there is always the Double Merge button.
Oops sorry 'bout that.  Well after about 6 or so Absols I finally got the right one.

Okay I'm bumping this thread because I need some old school fashion help.  You see next weekend I have a chior preformance and we're singing Earth Wind and Fire's famous hit September and everyone needs to wear disco clothes.  The problem is I don't know what to wear for said disco outfit nor of wear to get it and Google's not really helping much so does anyone know what a typical women's disco outfit looks like and post me a picture if possible?

Unfortunatly I have some sensitive tastes buds so I don't really like a lot of food, but when I got to college I want to learn how to cook and start by putting some cheese like motzerella and chedder on some veggies and start broadening my pallet because honestly even if I did like more food I think my mom might be a subpar cook since most of the dishes she makes are very simple or from a box.
