« on: June 25, 2010, 04:41:07 AM »Honestly, Metagross wasn't that bad a choice, it's just that that Ampharos I helped my brother with is a demon. I really should have just waited until I could go wild in my own Soul Silver with my own personal team, but Johto hype got the better of me. I was actually thinking I wouldn't do more than a third of Metagross' HP worth of damage, but damn if Ampharos didn't shocked the hell out of me there.Yeah that's the thing with Metagross and most Steel types in general they have great physical defense but pretty bad special defense, even with it's high Special Defense IV it still can't stand up to pokemon trained for Special Attack sweeping.
This is why I really need to have a plan to fight againt Will and his team, his team is truly built for speed even the really not speedy ones which I find a bit weird he that for his Metagross and Tyranitar.

Another thing those pokemon were trained pretty well, I didn't expect that Amphoros to survive my Metagross' Earthquake attack.

Well I finally won, but man dude I'm sorry for the bad luck there with the missed Leaf Storm and all. I'm just glad I actually came up with some pretty danm good strategy but I gotta remember that Rock Type moves are the ones Super Effective against Ice types and not Ground types. I also need to come up with a better lead pokemon too.
That missed Leaf Storm of mine and that critical hit Dragon Claw you got totally made your day Sakura.Even if that strategy worked my Blaziken has a Choice Scarf on him and some pretty high attack so it probably wouldn't work. That's why I switched out him out the minute Typhosion was out, I was counting on you to knock out Gardevoir.
Now if only I didn't plan all my moves like that. What I was hoping for with Typhlosion was that if you had dealt it any damage with Gardevoir, you'd trigger Blaze and I could get a scorcher off. With Blaziken, since I didn't have a move of any particularly decent effectiveness against it, I wanted to outspeed it and use a near full power Eruption. Then I got slapped in the face with an Earthquake.

You got that right I mean my Salamence may be trained for speed and could definitly out run the Dragonite but it really has sucky defense like half my pokemon. I think I need to experiment with other pokemon too, a speedy Weavile and a Synthesis high Defense/Special Defense Leafeon/Roserade. I don't know I might have to think of something.

Fusions are actually really great, but you have to build an actual fusion deck. Just throwing Polymerization into a deck won't do you any good, but if you build a Fusion themed deck, it can be among one of the best.Tell that to the Flame Swordsman, plus I'd much rather have 3 Blue Eyes on the field than an Untimate Dragon.

I honestly think those Synchro cards, Fusion cards, and most Rituals in general are not worth having the gain is simply not worth the sacrifice. The Black Luster Knight is one of the few exceptions.
