In the X series, I can dash. sliding doesnt help much IMO. plus, I can dash jump. and, I can refil my Dark Hold with an W-subtank.

SAR is the only exception.
and possibly Neo Arcadia. But they technically didnt show them onscreen. they just showed Ragnarok firing. MHX outright showed Cain's building engulfed in a fireball.

Thats pretty much what they advertised it as well. a remake. Not meant to overwrite canon, or create paradoxes. just to add additional information that fits with what was already there, and expands the backstory and motivations behind the events.
the Cain-missile thing was for dramatic effect. I dont think theyd go to the trouble of introducing him in MHX, if they were going to kill him off, especially if it wont be mentioned in the game itself. They made us think he was a frail old man, who was strating to feel he would not live much longer, and then drop a missile on his head, and X says nothing about it in the game?

I just got this, along with a brand spankin' new Wii. God damn, this is cool. It took a bit of getting used to, playing Prime 1 with the new controls, but its good. Now- I never owned it or a GC before, But I remember playing it with my pal down in the High school Robotics lab when he brought his Gamecube in. This kid was pretty good at it.
So I have a sort of "experience" with it. And had gotten used to the GC controls.
I really dig the metal case. And the art booklet with the whole Metroid story up to Prime 3. that was an appreciated touch.
Now, as for why one would not play it in order: Impatience? I want to see what prime 2 is like, and od, I wanna see what Prime 3 is like!
But im going in order myself.

Rosebud Frozen PeasOh wow. Now Ive never watched that movie, but yet somehow, I seem to understand their comparisons. Its true, as well- that haunting loneliness does make the game awesome. Exploring the Chozo runins, seeing those magnificent structures and how theyve fallen.

But he isn't. It would be a massive retcon, and would be referenced by X in game. plus, yeah, MHX was supposed to ead into MHX2, but theyre basically just remakes with expanded story. nothing contradictory is really added.

He was never on life support. the only time we saw him with that machine was while he was eating. It is more likely a machine that helps him digest his food. be it a futuristic dialysis machine, or maybe just a machine that helps his stomach itself.
R20 has artwork of him standing around just dandy, with only those 4 circles on his back where the machine connects.
Plus, Wily has survived tons of [parasitic bomb] in his day. Cain can definitely do so as well. well, except plot holes. he cant escape those. He fell into one in X4 after all. Poor guy. must be starving down there.

From the start, Harpuia was opposed to Weil. Doubting him the whole way through. After the missile, he had the last straw, and attacked Omega.
Then later, Him alongside Fefnir and Leviathan, fought their way to Zero's location when Dark Elf was healing Omega, and Zero was still damaged, and attacked Omega, bringing him to a knee again. and they urged Zero to deal the finishing blow when Mother Elf's curse began to falter.
X, couldnt do much in terms of fighting, but he pretty much did intel. He informed Zero when Weil was no longer at area X-2, and protected the resistance Base from Weil's mind control, as well as obtaining the location of Weil's whereabouts.
That's a pretty valuable aid right there.

Light's teleporter experiment gone awry. near the end of Megaman's time in hyrule, he gets [tornado fang]'d up real bad, and natrally, cannot be fixed by them they take him to the triforce, and when he toushes it, not only does he get fixed, but he copies it as a weapon. he turns solid gold and fires a gold laser beam. )

Mm... true. after all, It sounds weird, X's buster is one, so what they just one day up and made X a new buster? Somehow I dont think its that simple. all of the shining arms are handheld weapons that can be given to you, including a saber, while X's is a part of his body. It sounds weird.
But it's fun to speculate on possible candidates either way. After all, I believe you once mentioned, we have 3 extra good guys lying around... Even if they dont seem the type.
