Why don't you just stop using the worst console of the gen and get something better
You want to buy it for me?

Quick question: I've had an Xbox 360 Arcade for quite a few years now, and only recently have I found I need a Hard Drive, (since Ive actually started downloading games onto it, which takes up far more space than save data, memory issues of which is easily solved with a 360 formatted Flash Drive)

Would I need to migrate the data in the internal memory to the Hard Drive if I buy one?

I love how you are the one who always seems to brings that up.

Did it move you that profoundly?

But it's true. The title screen LOOKS well enough, but it just feels... I dunno, like more could have been done with it at least. It's so... Silent? Granted, the X titles do have that all in common. (Minus The Xtremes, X8, and Command Mission) At the sub menu... Though since X Collection has none, it leaves just the "press start" title menu alone.

And the very I DO think, ordered way the music plays at the game select screen. It's either X6, X4 or X5's, but it has a definite order to it, invariably starting with X6's. (hardly the best that could have started, no? I was never TOO fond of X6's stage select theme)

Also the very bland title screen and very painfully ripped X8 Capcom animation sans Axl, which makes it look very odd, considering X and Zero were positioned the way they were BECAUSE of the third character. (IMO X5's X/Zero logo is far better, and it's not even animated)

Wilson was definitely the Watson. Cutty as Lestrade? I never considered it. Huh. That actually kind of makes sense...

Jeremy Brett is the best Sherlock Holmes ever. Even Better than Basil Rathbone, who did a pretty damn good job himself. (Unfortunately the same can't be said for Nigel Bruce's Watson, the bumbling idiot)

Just felt like putting that out there. Been rewatching some of the old TV Series. It really is a damn shame about how his health got so damn bad- and yet he INSISTED on continuing on the job despite not being able to withstand more than very short shoots, even collapsing on set.

Maybe im just spoiled by Brett's Holmes, but I never liked the New Holmes movies with Robert Downey Jr. I mean, I think he pulls off the character spectacularly, the very "Holmesesque" details are well performed, but I just dont really like what was DONE with the character as a whole.

I also don't like that new TV series "Elementary". The Brits already pulled off a well made and successful modern day Holmes, people- it was called "Sherlock"

Alternatively, House works too. And that's not even 100% Holmes to begin with, just heavily inspired by, with the idea of a Sherlock Holmes kind of modern day doctor in a medical show.

And it's not because of the Female Watson. The idea is nice, but the actress sucks. So does the Holmes for that matter. They just feel nothing like the characters they are supposed to be.

Speaking of the collections, X Collection just felt so lacking compared to some of the finer details of Anniversary.

Then again, they didnt have the Complete Works re-releases to port over. Though I DO fancy they could have done something a tad bit more creative with the title screen... Even if it meant ripping off AC and having a little X sprite running around. But X Collection also just has a bit of weirdness surrounding it, particularly the "supposed" remastery that was going to happen, which I dont remember if it was ever confirmed or not.

I still really liked that game hub world thing with the doors. I thought that was cool.

I sorely missed something similar in X Collection.

Can they even do that without the permission of Japcom?
Well of course not. Japcom- (I love it) would have to task them with it first. I'm just suggesting the idea.

Because the last time Capcom let the west make one of their games it turned out so well.

What, like DmC? Forgive me if I don't know which game you are referring to.

DmC isn't really being made by Capcom, it's being outsourced to NinjaTheory.

Eh, Eggman massproduced Gammas in SA2 already. Not quite too new. Im more impressed by the entire fleet of Egg Carriers.

Also, haha, cheesy, but in a fun way. The way past cool line just didnt match up too well with the Sonic model. I would've expected a pose there or something, but the issue is he just kinda stands there while saying it.

Robotnik kills it, (lol, this may suffer from Mega Man Syndrome, where Wily stole the show- though given Sonic is totally far out as well, it's safe to say Sonic will be more memorable as a character than Mega Man was. Most of the other actors (particularly that G.U.N. crew) are kind of meh, but they get an A for effort.

The model wasn't too bad, I can see they wanted to really give the impression of spines. The mouth is what seems too wide sometimes. And at some scenes the model is somewhat jittery while performing a standstill action, like getting up. I also hope he sort of works it a little to give more of an impression of speed, particularly while he's just running. a little motion blur on the sonic model can fix that. He also needs a few more sounds to him, particularly while landing on stuff, be it the ground or robots, since he just doesnt SOUND very weighty enough.

The cameos gave me a good laugh though. Real amusing.

ooooone little thing though:

(click to show/hide)

Other than that, for a fan film with presumably a similar budget to Mega Man, not too bad. I can dig it.

So I suggested this on PD's corner, but ill ask it again here, since it's somewhat relevant.

What if Capcom US made a Mega Man game? I got the idea from how Sega did it with Sonic. Sonic 1 was Japanese, and while they made Sonic CD, Sega US made Sonic 2, and later 3&K, the three usually considered the best Sonic games ever, while CD... Sort of suffered mainly due to the System itself, and compared with the others really does stand out for it's chaotic level design (Which Im pretty sure was designed the way it was in order to make it far more difficult to maintain a top speed for the time travel gimmick)

So taking that idea, what if Capcom US got a Shot at MM? They (to me anyway) really seem to as a whole, care more about MM than Capcom JP does.

Sven says it was "very telling", and goes into detail a bit when in particular, he was asked about Mega Man.

Because they tend to be ambient pieces that effectively use wind sounds and or instruments to evoke a sense of cold, or isolation.

Yeah. I generally like X3's music but the samey instrument usage gets old. X8 had the same problem.
As for genesis...

Oh yes.
Yeah that's what I had in mind. MAN that [parasitic bomb] just sounds so good. I love the Genesis musical style.

All it had was a musical arrangement/anime cutscenes. That's pretty much it as otherwise it's still the same game. Same goes with Mega Man 8 with the extras.

If only they put more effort (like enhanced graphical changes, re-arranged enough that it runs on the X4 engine, etc), it would've probably been it's own game.
There's a slight difference in that the Saturn Version of Mega Man 8 despite being entirely the same, actually has bonus GAMEPLAY content, in the form of 2 extra bosses. The other actually more superficial extras are the different Tengu Man track, and the art gallery.

as for X3 and PSX X3, While I can agree that the arranged music was not always the best, some of the original tracks were not quite better. SNES Blizzard Buffalo sounds terrible IMO, and it's arrangement sounds MUCH, much better. To be honest, I don't mind the Arranged tracks at all.

To be honest, X3's grunge guitar obsession is it's biggest problem, and the Re Arranged tracks at least try and bring some different instrumentation. The issue with some of THAT, is that sometimes the Arrangement just sounds way too different, or the musical style it chooses just doesnt fit what the original SNES track was trying to evoke.

Many of the tracks CAN work with guitar. Just not like X3 does it.

And just my opinion, but X3's grungy guitar would have sounded MUCH better on the Genesis, which had a penchant for that kind of thing.

If I recall though, can't you use Wolfang's weapon for the spike section in the first area?

I don't really remember if you can abuse invincibility time to climb up the spikes, since I dont remember if you CAN climb spikes outside of Shadow.
