But he has his own set of buster firing sprites. If they were lready going to make him fire the buster differently, then why not go the extra step and give him a Z-Buster?

Edit: Beat me to the punch. Also, thats not exactly true. he holds it straight just like Zero, only he holds his arm straight out in front of him, as opposed to Zero's bent elbow and lower arm.

Its about the New Generation. Of which Axl is a part of. Axl is important because he is the prototype, and the only one who isnt maverick. all the bosses in X8, (barring Sigma and Vile) are all New Gens.
X7 was about Axl and his mysterious ability, and how Sigma wanted to use it for his own ends. X8, is about how he finally does.

X7 and 8 are about Axl. Wily has nothing to do with that. Thus, he's not there.
X4, 5, and 6, had to do with Zero, so, he was there.

Axl's clip in X8's ending implies something a little darker than "Hey, I can copy Mad Nautillus now."

This really made me chuckle for some reason.

Nah, X's height should remain 160 cm, even in the ZERO-series. Same for Zero, but I guess he just has a very youthful appearance:

Frankly, I don't really like the whole "spanish Buzz" thing, it seems kinda "gimmicky", in my opinion. I just hope it doesn't last too long in the movie, or that the joke doesn't get overused..

I think it will probably be like the deal with the second buzz in 2. "spanish Buzz" will probably be around for a while, them maybe he'll get his senses knocked back into him. I mean, he's based on a very western kind of spaceman- theres really no reason for him to be spanish. unless they accidentally changed his region settings.
