Cerveau maybe. who knows. I mean, he DOES have two saber holsters... one on each leg.

Well Sigma managed to have one,
X series

& Zero got given at least 2 by Wily.
X series,

Harpuia has 2.
And he works for the Neo Arcadian Government, so he can get as many as he wants. Plus, he's had them just as long as Zero has had his own Shining arm. Since the Nittoryu are part of the shining arms.

I don't even want to discuss how bad first person games actually control on Wii. Or does it not work like Red Steel, that is, with the cursor being an on-screen joystick hat? I don't know, I don't use Nunchucks. I gave mine away IIRC because I'm not a middle-aged woman.
the primes actually work well with the free aiming of the Wiimote. at least, I think so. Ive played prime on the GC before, one or twice, and I find that the wii controls in comparison are MUCH better. switching visors and beams sometimes is odd, but its still all good. the nunchuck is really just for movement, locking on, and turning in and out of morphball

But each to their own, I guess.

Just the title? Well, I guess it does reek of American made-ness. it radiates a fouls stench that can be smelled from outside the topic.

Whoa. true, Goku has senzu beans... and Superman, according to various interpretations, goes up to space ans gets himself a tan,  absorbing sun like a plant, and then being good as new to save the day.

Goku and He man are different universes. plus, Goku bruises, Superman does not bruise that easily. well, that also depends on who's writing him. Some comics have him with a thick hide of a skin, and others have him getting torn up, uniform and all.

Oh sure. He can just go to weapons R-Us, which juuust so happens to be in a city that considers you not only an urban legend, but an extremist and a maverick.

Plus you really cannot match the Z saber. Specially since it is a shining arm, which means it is sure as hell special.

Anime & Manga / Re: What Anime are you Currently Watching?
« on: October 23, 2009, 07:36:51 AM »
Im watching The Devil Lady/Devilman Lady

Its odd.
best way i can describe what it seems like to me,  is an odd mix between the 90's-ness of Nightwalker, (along with the monster of the day formula and the side bit about the girl with parents killed by monsters) Betterman, with its shpiel of a higher evolution of beings,  and Claymore, what with its thing of claymores "awakening" if they go over their limits, becoming flesh eating monsters. Yeah- that would be the best way to describe it.

EDIT: Well, I finished it. and while the whole series is seriously depressing, at least the end is somewhat nice.

T'was good, all in all. I seriously lol'd at Akira Fudo's cameo appearance though.
(Another of the mangakas creations, Devilman, from another manga. The inspiration for Devilman Lady)
He's little more than "just another character" but its a fun Cameo. He even appears in his Devilman form at one point.

The first prime was great. Prime 2... I dont like as much.

Dark Samus also had a skull head thing.

in 3, Dark Samus looks like Samus proper. But with a Vile visor.

The other hunters were interesting. 3 is pretty good. Its not as great as 1, but its cool.

also, I dunno bout playing like Dick. I have trillogy, and I find that the wii controls allow for more precision. Especially in 1.
and having the ability to jump in morphball mode in Prime 1 is so hax. it makes lots of the ball puzzles much easier.

Zero / Re: Was Neo Arcadia a communist dictatorship?

The fact that he isnt biased towards any one side is the REASON he is such a wimp. He is doomed to worry constantly about both sides, and never favor one single side.
He's never once cared that much about the misuse of the term Maverick. Sure, he had some polite things to say in X6, but I don't think he really cared. He's a shoot first cry about it later kind of guy, but I think he fakes it.
It is his duty to defeat evil, whether he likes it or not, it has to be done. otherwise, Sigma would get away with killing humanity. The same way, X fought against Weil because if he didnt, then he'd get away with killing off EVERYBODY. Especially reploids.

Plus, X's personality shifts between complaining, and deciding it has to be done. X1-3 we dont really see him complain much. and in MHX he just hesitates. But eventually overcomes that. in the later games like X4-7, he goes from complaining and pleading with his enemies, to outright quitting. only realizing afterward, that only he can really stop it all.

Hmm... Another question to add to my previous inquiry, how the hell is it that they let Weil use Zero's body? I mean, it would be just as easy, if not more, to just wake up the damn bastard rather than going behind his back and donating his body while his brain is still sleeping.
Unless, and its an idea that I just thought of, they were already planning to give him a new body? Maybe as part of Zero's initial reason for sealing himself?

Though then Weil probably would not have gotten the body if that was the reason...

anything?

Vigilante? Given the lack of organized irregular hunters amongst Legions, I always got the impression they were more official than that. At least, the english ZX site referred to them as a secret government organization.

Yknow, call me a GiTS fanatic, but sound slike it could work very much like Public security section 9.
I mean, they do things that seem to be outside of official channels sometimes, just going off on their own. Though we don't know if Prairie actually does do the "paperwork" behind the scenes.

Not by Batman. And even with the Bat Bot from "The Batman" it's only stalling for time. Kryptonite's the way to go. Its just a matter of getting it out before he makes sure you dont. though, given the series' that seems fairly easy. he never seems to see it coming.

I think that the English manuals state using the Z saber as the Buster's magazine.
Im not sure. The only manual I have is Z4's, since my Z1 and 3 were used.

I like to think that Vent and Aile caught up on things in between ZX and ZXA. at least, they seem that way. dunno, but they give off that sort of air about them. plus theya re now Guardians as well, so it wouldnt surprise me that they got filled in on all this "Secret code gibberish" you mentioned. after all, ZXA takes 4 or so years, like you said... thats plenty of time to study up on the Zero series history the initially only got a summary of, from prairie.

One thing though, that id like to know, is when exactly the reploid/human equality laws were passed. how long after Legions founding? I mean, Prairie seems to have undergone the reploid procedure, but yet, she's still around, period. She should be like 200 years old. And I dont think that she simply has lived a fruitful long life. im sort of wondering in that area. when were the laws passed? depending on when, she may have avoided them.

Yeah pretty much.
Unless She's drawn by Sigehiro, in which case she is somewhat Tsundere.

Yeah, the transporters in ZX should have refilled BME as well as LE.  Advent's wasn't too bad, but I agree that ZX using it for charge shots was kinda awkward after 4 Zero games and 1 ZX game of having it free.  The auto-refill was nice, but it hurts the Giga Crush.  There should have been a chip that increased the recharge time of the gauge, would've made things a bit easier.
When I tried for Medals...
Oh God...
