Flame reached the control center of Eggmanland. The Egg-Control room. It also doubled as a boss if need be. It was modeled after Eggman's Face, with two large round lights for eyes, a big grin, and the two whiskers than stick out. In all, it was ugly.

-Flame, you should see this...-
"yeah yeah, what is it?"

-Roa's palace was just decimated by a meteor.-

"what?"

-we have footage from the satellite sir.-

They showed the footage to Flame. Flame was actually in shock. he had not expected such a coincidental turn of events. Did this mean he no longer had to camp out from Roa? His men were probably still after him, but without the big man himself, they might just stop their mission.

"hmm. No, Ill stay here a while longer..."

-Sir?-

"Nothing. Ill stay a bit longer. I want to see how this all plays out in the end. Ill be in my room."

I pick the electric type Poke-Man.
I always liked Ariga's design on Elecman. It made him badass.

Eh, Protoman's energy system will just be a plot device, methinks, to keep him as the cool character, the mysterious character who always shows up whenever Megaman needs it. He might get it fixed, or he could die, or nothing could happen for the rest of the Classic Megaman series (which will continue until it stops being profitable). Hell, with the spotlight he's getting in MM10, we might get something happening very soon. Who's to say? He's unpredictable, like a poorly programmed digital clock.
...now all I want is a gif of Proto Man with "12:00" blinking on his visor.

Tell me how could you not see that last part coming since many chapters ago? You know how shonens work.
Never said I didnt see it coming, It was obvious he would go all serious and try to train, Its just really weird to see YOKOSHIMA, of all people, surpassing her. I meanm when you compare him to the beginning of the manga, lol... One ca nt get used to seeing him so serious for more than 3 seconds. XD
Im guessing he will be the key for unlocking Mikami's powers.

Flame had just finished making himself an upgraded suit, when the intercom in his ear hailed him.
"What is it?"
-Mr. Flame. There is something you should hear about. Please come to the Egg-control Room immediately.-
"Hm? I wonder whats so important their calling me there of all places?"

He left the machinery complex he was in, and jogged down a rust colored metal mesh road, the heat of the lava underneath easily felt.
"I wonder what's WITH the guy and naming things after Eggs... last I understood, it was an insult by his nemesis or something..."

I know its still a wip, but they seriously need to work on that Background.  Its pretty lame.
The floor right after the bubble parts is also very odd looking.

And the boss theme... I dunno. It seems like it could be much better. it hurts my ears a bit.

You first need to rescue a Reploid to unlock the ability to rescue Reploids.
If you have 0 reploids, you are game over instantly.

Like I said, I was complaining about the art style. I was not specific enough in my complaint though. I meant the sprites only, I did not like the way they stretched and squashed. If we are going more detailed, I would like it to center on the fact that Mega Man is metal, not play dough.  On the other hand, I thought the cut scenes were bad ass. And why did you make your argument about game play? I think I said that I liked the game play.
Megaman classic would have looked that way had it started on the PSx/Saturn. it makes it kiddish. Hes not entirely overly squishy. I mean, you have to somehow explain how he even moves when his ankles and wrists are one piece. So the foot bended a little. big whoop. it was made for little kids.

Remember that PU was designed the way it was to represent what Inafune originally wanted with the series, a very cute chibi style, but couldnt, due to the limitations of the system.

Quote
So let me get this straight, they are making the classic series retro for the little kids of this generation?  I don't think so.
why not? they can very well satisfy all generations. Introduce new players into the original style, and re-introduce older players with what they recognize as the original.

Quote
They are making these games for us, not little kids.
quite ego centric, no? they are not making it SOLELY for you, they are making it for anyone who will buy it. Megaman 9 and 10 may be aimed at the older crowd, but the classic franchise as a whole, is aimed at KIDS.
Quote
And I for one want a game with a more serious direction.
:\ AHAHAHHHAAHAHAHA

sorry.
haha. Evil energy, Roboenzas and Brainwashing robots ala RnF is about as serious as it will get. (SAR is, after all, the redheaded stepchild of the franchise, with the direction IT took.)

Quote
I understand the X series is for that and whatnot, what I am talking about is more like the original MM re-imagined for 3d with awesome art direction on the same lines of Ariga, if not by him. And also at the same time, we could keep the original games coming. The Ariga art styled games could be a epic trilogy. It would work, it would sell, and Mega man would be a deeper more interesting experience for it. I still like the 8bit 2d games, and I still want more of them. I just want my cake with frosting, please?
Trust me, we ALL would love a game with Ariga art. But its doubtful it will ever happen. RnF's boxart is probably as close as we'll ever get.

Is it just me, or does Megaman take too much damage?
Also, Im not too fond of how they changed the spikeball layout in Tenguman's stage.
and the floating platforms should come up BEFORE I  jump. when I reach the edge of the platform they should come up. not when i jump. and maybe its just me, but I think Megaman also gets pushed a bit further by the wind than in 8. also, lol randomized stage tune for Tengu. I wonder if theyre gonna do that in the final?
