Well, they did make Uncut dubbed DVD's for a while, but they stopped because of poor sales i think.
(Lol, because anyone who wants to see it uncut will just find it online)

Michael Caine is win.

I preferred him black, went well with the "Shadow" in is name, but then again, he isnt quint green either. hes dark green. and for a predecessor to quint, it makes sense.

I guess only time will truly tell then. Truth be told, i was intruiged by the little trailer. the graphical style of it was... well, cant quite place my finger on it, it was interesting.

Although wouldn't they have announced it's cancellation? That, and people being the big Alucard lovers they are, would have found it out one way or another.

Actually, another possibility, could be that it was put on the backseat in favor of concentrating on LoS, which could be Castlevania's comeback after not too great console sales. (and [parasitic bomb] like HoD being announced, showing that they primary timeline needs some time to cool off for a bit, while the series goes in a fresh new direction.)

Mmm...
I change backgrounds almost as often as my Avatars. Someone needs to invent a rotator background for windows, like Macs have. 8D

i saw the image as a desktop BG that some guy on youtube had in his vid, and I liked it, so I searched for it, and got myself this.

Well it certainly is a promising game. And the fact that its outside the regular canon,  makes it able to be a standalone game with its own universe rather than having a chip on its shoulder with predecessors and such.

That could possibly be what happened, but I dont think they would just show a trailer for it if it was one of many ideas. they wouldve had their little sit down, and then decided which was best.
Thats what I think anyway.

Do we actually know if that mishmosh is really LoS?
No, the Mishmosh is Harmony of Despair.
AKA this one.

zero's helmet design says otherwise
Because just SOOO easy to bring that up all the time instead of actually making a worthwhile argument.
yes I hate the X8 helmet design. your point is...?
I seem to be easy to please, considering I dont see half the problems that everyone is talking of in Unleashed.

Hmm.. how are the tv shows these days on "killing people" in cartoons? I remember cartoons like Batman having to have no killing. The Joker couldnt kill, and thus they took their frustrations out on scarface instead, by finding new intuitive ways to dismember and destroy him.

I admit that I've never watched Static Shock.
What is it about? It seems good from what you guys are talking about.

Check out an episode or two. its quite good.

Sounds fun.

Who the hell takes Yahtzee seriously?

I found the nighttime levels to be good. Having played the 360 version after having beaten the PS2 version, I was amazed by its nightime levels, and how much better they were than on the PS2.

No control over the enemies? What do you mean by that?

Maybe you ended up spamming one attack, I made sure to try out all of the ones I had. The platforming in it was pretty good I think. The pole swinging was done well I think, and it seemed overall very responsive for me, the controls.

Maybe I'm just really easy to please.

In other news, OFLC confirms that the "other" Castlevania game revealed recently (Harmony of Despair) is real.

Link here

Um.....yay?  -u-'
Game is such a disappointment. (So far anyway, unless they iron it out and actually make it something BETTER than just a storyless mosh of different characters with castle of rehashed areas from Dawn of Sorrow.)

However, LoS is looking quite good there.
the direction the screens look, definitely looks like Castlevania.

Im really curious though, about that mysterious Alucard teaser from before LoS was announced. Wonder what that is going to turn out to be. We havent heard anything bout it since then. But my guess would be we'll hear something after LoS is done.

Mmm*shrug*. I guess it boils down to opinion and personal level of enjoyment.
I saw very few flaws with Unleashed. In the least, it was a step in the right direction. As far as the Hedgehog Engine goes, its pretty decent. the game itself, is also pretty decent compared to more recent outings. They didnt shove the whole entourage of- as Yahtzee would put it- Neo Woodland creatures, up your arse, and focused only on Sonic, which a slight helping of Tails, and an Amy thrown in. Both of which were there back in the older games.

Now- the dea of the "helper character" Chip- was a bad one, for sure- but the game only had you as Sonic, Something I cant recall the console games EVER doing- game was smooth, nice, very detailed, and while we may not agree on level design- I still found it very fun. The werehog gimmick felt rather forced, yet you could squint and imagine you were playing Knuckles with blue fur and stretchy arms. That combat wasnt too bad.
So perfect? no, I guess not. But definitely a decent effort I think. Now we just have to see if Colors here can deliver, or folow up on the "footstep" Unleashed was, and makesomething better. It says only Sonic will be playable, and focus on him- that's a start. Also, it says its made BY the storybook team, right? Well, people seem to love those 2 games, so maybe this one will be good too?

Older? Im not THAT old. Hell, I was raised on the PS1 and GBC. My first Mega Man game was 8. :\

I just know what most Nostalgia and retrofags always complain about with newer game entries in franchises, is the difficulty level, and how there just isnt that same challenge that there used to be, how theres either no strategy required, or thigns like that.

And when I go to play those old games, its true, nowadays, Gamers seem to be spoiled by real forgiving games, so that when there is a game they arent good at, or they cant get the hang of, that requires practice, they complain. When they cant get through a stage on their first try, its the games fault for being badly designed.

Color me crazy, but I appreciated Megaman X6's challenge for all it was worth. Jesus how many times have I died and ragequit there when I was younger.

But I always wanted more, so i went back. Now that I can breeze through the game, it feels more satisfying that I learned how to do it almost perfectly.

But- back to Sonic- while the older games were never too challenging in the first place, (Well, Sonic 1 had it moments) games like Unleashed arent hard. Its true. However, you have to learn how to work it juuust right. you have to get a real hang of the fact that its so God damn fast. And yes, even memorize layouts. thats just part of the game. part of the trial and error bit.

Argh. I feel im not making a good argument, and at 2:52 in the morning, it doesnt surprise me. >_<;
my brain needs sleep.
I've never liked getting my ass handed to me in Ames, or anywhere for that matter.
Lol, oops. ate a letter there.

:PThose were the good old days, weren't they?
Im just saying, is all. I mean, I recall people always complaining about newer Castlevanias "because you can just grind to level up, and how theres no challenge and it doesnt require skill and strategy like the originals because of that"

Granted, Sonic isnt Castlevania. But the point applies. people used to ENJOY getting their asses handed to them in games, because it made you want to play till you got through the section. The ragequits and all were just part of the experience. Now, one death and people complain the game is flawed, or is too hard. they blame level design, game mechanics, controls, camera, the developers, whatever- Whatever happened to trial and error in videogames?

I remember games being about loosing before you finally learned what you had to do to win. Trial and error, and well, to a certain extent, strategy. Not be able to just breeze through it in a single take.
