I can respect Halo. Halo sort of redefined the genre, (it saved the original Xbox too) but then everyone wanted to be Halo, and that kind of ruined it. Halo became this giant OMG HALO thing and I got sick of it.

Developers are quick to blame Piracy and used games for their woes, but have they ever considered the quality of their product as a factor? Of course not. Just like The market was over saturated with bad games and similar consoles back in the video game Crash of the 80's, the current market is over saturated with wannabe AAA blockbusters and FPS Call of Duty clones. The games sure are not getting any cheaper, but their quality is stagnating, with gems hidden beneath piles of turds whoa ll try to be the next Arkham City, or the next Call of Duty, or the next big Zombie game, or the next big "survival" game.
People play it, get sick of it, trade it in. if there was more quality control instead of this play-it-safe-and-try-to-be-the-next-blockbuster system, they would all be better for it. To make money you have to take a risk and try something new. Something creative. Not what everyone else is doing.
