Learned that it is actually possible to forget to breathe.
Other day I was in the waiting room at this place. There was nothin going on, and I was the only one there besides the secretary and occasional folks from there who would pass by to talk to her. It was real quiet, and I had my coat on, so I got kinda drowzy, and there was nothing to do while I waited, so I just stared at the wall. Can you believe I got so relaxed into a trance that for a few seconds, I forgot to breathe? Then I suddenly realized "did I just forget to breathe?" and snapped back to my senses.

The core concepts behind it are fine, but I can see why people might be confused by it if they never touched the manga due to lack of proper explanation. Back on track though,
There are only really two types of Otaku that I absolutely cannot stand.This. Sub [Top Spin]s are pretty bad, but to be fair, they were created by the horrible dubs of the past. Nowadays, dubbing is slowly getting good. Funimation comes to mind. An shoot me, but while 4kids is the worst at character voice matching, a few of the VAs themselves do seem to enjoy what they do and do it as best they can. Even if it means hamming it up stupendously. (lookin' at you Dan Green!)
Type 1: Narutards, Because they have it in their head that Naruto is the End-All Be-all of Anime, they think its the best in every way and not flawed in the bit. They irritate me to no end because they don't realize that the show is Ass Pull after Ass Pull (Oh no I'm going to die, OH NO WAIT SPECIAL MOVE I JUST MADE UP! Oh yay Bad guy is going to die, OH NO WAIT I GUESS HE IS SUDDENLY IMMORTAL NOW WTF.)
Type 2: Sub-[Top Spin]s, Those guys who hate Dubs and prefer Subs over everything else, complain about dubs when they have no intention on watching them, and complain about dubbing in general, EVEN THOUGH THEY HAVE THE OPTION TO WATCH WITH SUBTITLES. They complain about everything when "This actor sounds dead compared to this Seiyuu" or "This line lost all meaning because this actor sucks [parasitic bomb], I like the Seiyuu better, Wah wah wah." If you don't watch dubs, don't [sonic slicer] about people liking dubs. Don't say they aren't true fans because they don't watch the anime in Japanese only. Don't say they aren't true anime fans if they enjoy Dubs.
Narutards only really annoy me because not only that- but they will VERY often go out in full narutard gear. the headbands, God... the headbands...
Ignorance against anime is one thing, but those idiots in that video certainly arent helping... in fact I daresay they are the REASON for the hate. I mean God, I certainly feel contempt towards them.

« on: February 23, 2011, 08:23:41 PM »I got it when it came out, but I have yet to really sit down and play it.You only have to I believe beat Kenshiro's second stage at least to unlock Dream mode. Now what is true, is that you have to unlock characters by progressing in the story. And after that's done, you have to play through other character's Dream modes to unlock other characters. (beat Kenshiro's Dream mode to unlock Toki's, Beat Shin's to unlock Rei's, beat EVERYONE's to unlock Raoh, etc.)
What killed the whole thing for me, was the lack of co-op without completing the whole story mode beforehand. If Gundam Musou can, why can't Hokuto? I don't care if it's a non story character or whatever. I always played the Gundam ones co-op with a friend, and I was GOING to do the same with this game, but when we discovered that it wouldn't let us until I cleared the game solo, it got shelved. Maybe I'll try it in the future some time.
Well after playing through Legend mode a few times, beating Ken, Toki, and Rei's story modes, Ive finally tackled Dream mode, and decided to use Shin, since I'd like to get myself Rei. And found it surprisingly fun. Its one of those capture the base types. theres a shitton of bases across a huge map, and you have to capture them, while also fulfilling story related objectives, like defeating certain characters, not allowing a certain teammate to be defeated, stuff like that. Come Saturday ill be able to try out Co op mode with a pal of mine, see how good that is.
Side note: Im rather disappointed that the themes for the game, Far Away and Believe You were removed from the overseas releases, Replacing them instead with stock music from the game.
