It would be neat if Sega re-joined the console market.

So my wife got me Sonic Chronicles and Sonic Unleashed (Wii) for Christmas, and my Mario Kart addiction finally subsided enough in the past week or two to try them.

...granted I haven't spent all that much time with either one, but right now I'm kinda thinking that my instincts served me well on what Sonic games not to buy.  At this point I'm completely mystified as to how Unleashed is considered the beginning of Sonic's redemption.  The controls are unbelievably loose, and the framerate is choppy as hell.
Unwiish'd was dimps. As we all know, they are not the best when it comes to sonic.

I will give them credit though, I loved the Wii/PS2 Eggmanland. I like the beginning of the stage with the big Eggman mouth.

When people say Unleashed was the beginning  of Sonic's redemption, they mean the PS3/360 version. The version actually made by Sonic Team.

Yeah, X6 had great mugshots.

I recall X4's mugshots followed the same deal for X's armor.

MHX and X8 are the laziest in the mugshot department. (of the X games that USE Mugshots in conversations- X5 had armored mugs for the weapon selectscreen, but didnt use mugs in conversations..)

although the Zero series never made much of a fuss about Zero's color swaps in mugs either.

Alright, that helps, seems I wasn't that far off when it comes to the posing of the second one, though I did notice the legs looked off.

The first one- huh. didnt notice it had that many flaws. But, again, appreciate it.

I forgot the description-
Quote
"Only the Good Die Twice" is a spy story set within the fictional James Bond universe. Through the prologue, it is revealed that the name "James Bond" is the codename for agents with 007 status and that the original James Bond from the Cold War (played by Sean Connery in a returning role) has gone rogue and is now the head of SPECTRE. The current Bond is tasked by MI6 to stop him before he can initiate a global thermonuclear war.

Game controls from the God of Wars, I really like the straight forward free roaming play.  Also, the quick weapon switching, would work good with the Legends 3 arsenal.

The puzzle and enemy fights, I can see that same kind of thing, for any ruins and/or the moon.

I'm pretty sure GoW isnt the only franchise to have those elements.

But, most important, the graphics.  Primary reason why I want the G.O.W creators, to make the game.

They also are not the only people to make nice graphics. Graphics come from the budget. If the game has a big budget, it is more likely to look prettier.

Also, really? The MAIN reason is because they made nice graphics on GoW?

I drew something.

So after having accomplished almost nothing after 2 full sessions of D&D, (Our GM has no time to prepare stuff because hes really busy with school)

One of the guys from our group has decided to try his hand at being GM. So he had us roll out new characters. (this is going on the 3rd time now we have rolled out new characters.)

He's using a different system and whatnot. he is also house ruling certain things. For example, he is washing out alignments for the most part. EG making them less black and white. More realistic than just good, evil, and neutral. instead we all start without an alignment since realistically, people are a grey shade in terms of alignment, and from there we will see to which side of the spectrum our characters develop towards.

Of course, almost all of us already know what we want to do with our characters, but, I digress. I decided as is customary of me, to draw my character. So i did. However, I still felt in the mood once i finished, and so I drew one of the other characters. And Once the last player and former DM finally decides what he WANTS in his character, ill draw that too.

Kein Gentannen Morder / K.G. Morder

Class: Fighter

A former guard from a city named Khatovar.
He recently lost his wife, and has since sunk into a depression, pondering over the matters of life and death and fate. There have been a series of attacks around the land, (its a story thing the GM has mentioned) and so he has decided to join in on the adventure along with many others, as to discover what is causing them and why, in hopes that it will distract him from his grief.

Embla the Barbarian

Class: Barbarian (Duh)

A female Barbarian warrior from the mountains near Khatovar.
After 16 years of traveling with her tribe, she had finally made it to a hunter in the tribe. No longer just a gatherer. However, during her hunt she had gotten lost, and could not find them again. So now on her own she thought it best to find a new tribe

the last guy will probably be a Rogue/sorceror hybrid.

Name is currently Calinthar

Id actually like some critique on these if the RPM Artists dont mind. More specifically on the second one, since thats the one I tried to do a more dynamic pose with, and had a fair bit of trouble in doing so.

EDIT: Also coming soon, an as of yet unnamed Drunkard the GM wants.

X / Re: Theory: Dr. Light Studied Duo to Create X
« on: January 19, 2012, 08:00:35 AM »
It wasn't. Only Zero collection I think, in its timeline, mentioned a virus from outer space which made robots violent and riotous. (citing it as Light's reason for giving X perfect virus countermeasures, since he figured X could possibly fight robots infected with similar viruses in the future.) But that is referring to Roboenza, since Evil Energy did not cause robots to become violent and Riotous, as far as anyone can tell.

All Duo and his evil friend's visit to earth accomplished was to give Wily the inspiration to create an energy based virus that can travel through the air and infect robots, Which became Roboenza, which later also resulted in the Sigma Virus which is pretty much the cause of everything post Classic.

To be honest, as far as Legends 3 goes.  I'd rather have the creators of God of War series, make L3.

What? On what grounds?

instead of playing with the ideas for a 3D X game more,
Well at least Command Mission was a good 3D X game, even if it was a different genre all together. Only real 'technical' issue with it is the lack of facial expressions. Its noticeable most on X, since Gatha does his thing and X just stands there with the same look on his face all the time.

Agreed with Hyper. That's probably what turns me off a bit from X8's soundtrack. Most of the tracks have the exact same instrumentation and eventually just end up sounding the same.

That said, the beta reminds me of something I might hear in the Sonic Adventures.

Well there you go. if you can enjoy X6, i'm sure others can find enjoyable parts of X7.
I thought Anteater's level was cool, with the flipped area teleporters and the nifty music.
It was.

The only 3D stages I recall enjoying a bit were parts of Gungaroo and Hyena's stages.

To be honest I barely recall most of X7's stages. they were pretty bland all together. not only was the 2D overly linear, but the 3D was too. And the 3D sections had little to no platforming.

1998
The M. Bison switch was because the character WAS a parody on Mike Tyson. they didnt want to risk anything with him there.

but Legends is not going to get barred on the ground of "a name was copyrighted". It doesn't work that way. (and I still dont know what the deal with BN6 was. I dont think DC has the grounds to do that. Capcom probaby wussed out because they didnt want to deal with DC)
