Mega Mix is still ongoing? I thought they finished that already. Seems more like they just upgrade it whenever the [tornado fang] they feel it needs to be mixed some more.

It is a shame about S2HD. Looked good.

But my point was that at least those two projects were pretty hotly followed by the fanbase.

It's mostly those Western games' plots that bothers me the most. The shooting games' plots.

Funfact: Halo was based on a book called Ringworld.

On TV shows:

Criminal Minds, Diagnosis Murder, maybe Supernatural (specially early seasons before they introduced all the religious aspects)  eh, thats all I got, I really dont watch too much TV, and to be honest, not all of what I watch I would consider amazing.

1503
I would like to say Mega Man X Next, but to be honest, while it was likely the most ambitious fan game before MMXC, it's sprites dont particularly look that great, I mean, they certainly are not amazing. X Corrupted however, looks plenty damn official, and tries pretty hard to stay within it's SNES visual style. (X Next certainly strayed pretty far from actually looking anything like the GBC X series style, color aside)

What about Sonic Mega Mix, or S2 HD?

Pretty sure those were pretty anticipated.

Cant say how much since I'm not really active in the Fan community like I am in the Mega Man/Castlevania one.

Please dont do this.

Their PR sure is. Though "Broken" ain't the [tornado fang]ing word.

The thing I would fear most with a boycott, is simply, with the way Capcom has been going minimal risk, milk the cash cows, a boycott would simply register as "Mega Man is no longer profitable", and result in a more PERMANENT blow to the franchise. Abandonment by Capcom.

Thing about Targeting, is that it only really works for 3D. it's really stupid in 2D.

X7 is really not nearly as bad as say, Sonic 06, but it is still possibly the worst X series game, matched only by Xtreme 1.

It has so much potential, and so many right ideas, but then it has just as many bad ideas, and problems to it.

Capcom really should have ironed out everything X7 did wrong, and tried again, but instead we got X8, which while good, isnt really outstanding as far as X games go, either. Although we did get the AMAZING Command Mission inbetween, which takes the 3D X series idea and makes it an RPG which for whatever magical reason, not only works extremely well, but is extremely engrossing, and really well made.

I still have many movies in VHS.

Actually, my Lord of the Rings collection marks around the time when we bought a DVD player.

Fellowship is on VHS, while the other two are on DVD.

And im sure I have a Harry Potter 1 VHS somewhere.

Some of my favorite movies are on VHS, like Iron Giant. I remember getting the Pokemon VHS' when I was a kid. I still have some of those. Or recording Pokemon on a VHS when I couldnt watch it. And then having mom accidentally record over it.

I know for FACT I first watched the original Star Wars Trillogy on VHS, back in the day when we had a video rental a few blocks away from us. (I'll always remember they had an MvC and Metal Slug arcade machine, and the MvC one was loud as [tornado fang], and naturally, was on demo half the time, so I have the Capcom Q Sound jingle engraved into my brain) I watched Back to the Future on VHS too, a Charlie Chaplin collection VHS... quite a few movies.

I hate discs. It's such a fragile format.

VHS can be fragile too. They wear out after repeated watching, can come with those nasty lines and [parasitic bomb], (which can also occur from repeated watching wear and tear) and if your VHS player goes maverick, it could rip the film right out. (Or the film could snag on something and get ripped out when you pull the tape out)

Either way, I grew up with VHS. Along with Cassette Tapes. Though I didn't have NEARLY as many of those.

EDIT:

And what's also funny is that every movie after Citizen Kane was purposefully shot with focus play to draw your eyes, when there's little reason everything shouldn't've been in focus at all times.

Wait, is that why Soap Operas look so differently filmed than most Movis and TV shows? Or am I confusing something here?

To be honest, theres nothing wrong with X7's soundtrack. The problem is everything else.

Believe is definitely one of the best Jap. X songs, if not my favorite. It's just SO CATCHY. And I love the little cutscenes in the corner of the screen, just showing miscellaneous stuff. That ending of X and Zero staring off into the sunset on a rooftop is still the greatest thing ever.

The Answer is an odd song by itself, but the snippet they use for the opening works just fine. I remember being blown away by X6's opening the first time I played it. I was like, WHOOOOOOOOOOA WHAT IS THIIIIIIIS

Not to mention the intro was mostly animated, and had the whole "MEGA MAN X EPISODE 6" which I STILL think is epic.

I still like the US opening to X4. X series is one where both sides of the pond have good openers.

I DONT however, dig X5's Japanese opening as much. I like the songs themself, they are alright, but they dont seem to mesh as well as the "Zero death/weapon get" theme do.

Im not sure how anyone can like Zero's X7 theme over his X3 one. It's good, but not THAT good.

Online getting a worldwide release would even get me to almost forgive Capcom for L3.

But I would still want L3 ;_;. And we know neither it nor Online will ever happen.

Try playing Gamma Sigma with X on Hard Mode. 4/5 you'll get those giant purple death cubes popping up on you to murder your [parasitic bomb].

Also, Belial Sigma's lame. I know it's Sigma's shtick to copy his motif from pop culture/other sources, but his entire design is just one big grey mess, and fighting him is tedious. You literally just jump through hoops with the guy. Besides, he's not even the final boss. I liked the Copy Sigma fight and it's music better.
yeah, Copy Sigma was far better than Belial Sigma. :P

That's slightly unnerving to imagine.

I should really replay Command Mission some time, but RPG's are games I generally dont tend to replay, because they are too long and intricate and I just get impatient.

When I think about it, I didn't really like the Final Weapon theme. I liked the Space Port theme for what it was, definitely fit the situation, but Final Weapon? It's ok the first few minutes, then it just gets repetitive and easily stuck in your head, but not in the good way.

X5's boss theme, I like it, It's a good listen, it's just a strange boss theme to me though. Not a bad one, just... strange. Definitely unique. Id have to agree on Zero's intro theme in X5 being forgettable. It's good, but just cant hold up to X4's Zero theme. (which set the bar pretty high as far as Zero themes go, and Post X4 has really only the Command Mission's Zero theme to call competition, despite it being more of a slower paced theme like X5's.)

possibly two of my favorute X4 themes are, aside from the obvious X/Zero themes and Jet Stingray, have to be the Double theme and Both Sigma themes. Particularly the second, though the first one is definitely pretty unique IMO.

And the Dr. Light Capsule is still my favorite in the X series, although the X8 one comes close, held back only by the fact that they use a differently instrumented version for the R&D lab.

Kaiser Sigma was hard because of his head's ridiculous hitbox and the even ridiculouser shoulder hitboxes which hindered you.

That's not the point. It's offensive as a consumer. Let me put it to you this way...

Imagine Capcom was a restaurant you loved going to for years. You loved going there because the food was delicious and the service was excellent. Then, about one or two years ago the restaurant starts to change. Your food starts coming later and later until eventually your favorite meals get taken off the menu. the service goes from excellent to mediocre after one or two bad incidents. There's no point in going back, but you hope and keep waiting to hear if one of your favorite places to eat at either calls Robert Irvine to fix it up again or if it just gets new management that will keep the menu and make it good or better again.

This is what being a Capcom fan is like these days. You want to believe the service will get better and the food will be good again. Then the put something like this out. We shouldn't be shocked and the majority of fans will simply move on and continue waiting. It doesn't change the feeling of being offended by the company you've been loyal to for over 25 Years now.
I think PB here nailed it right here.

1524
kaiser Sigma isnt exactly the best example of great Sigma. Captain America Sigma that came right before it maybe, but I'd say his better forms were the original, and X8's Copy Sigma. (if you wanna count it)

yeah his First form in X3 is definitely better than his second.

I love X5's X theme. :T Sounds positive at first, then gets to sounding all determined.

Of course, it can't beat X's X4 theme, but it was still good in my eyes.

As for the Zero virus theme, it was nice, but the fact that it's used not only in the stage select, (as a shortened version without the full melody) but 3 more times after that, in the Virus stages, 1-3. I thought it at least fit the area well, really ambient and melancholy.

X6 definitely has one of the strongest soundtracks though. IT'S THE FINAL COUNTDOOOOOWN
