Because it relates to a game that they cancelled which is still a very sensitive issue, and then they go and stick a rocket in a Legends picture from a crossover game?

It might not be spite, but it sure as hell is completely tactless.

Their mobile page for it has some page shots from what I think is a magazine? I couldnt enlarge the images for some reason, but there seems to be on one of them a variant of that with more Servbots, a different rocket, in daylight.

Revival!

I dont think that's the Forbidden Ark... I think it might just be a fallen electric tower like the kind in area E. Or could it be?

On that note, the part in ZX, in Area I, where you fight the Mechaniloid Steephinx, (the miniboss) that round thing in the background, kind of resembles the giant orb behind X in Z2 that held Dark Elf, doesnt it...?

ZXA references MM1's bad box art,

"These are legendary heroes? They look more like coal miners in colorful outfits"

or something like that, and theres a Konro Man comic book that one of the Hunters reads.

Maybe this has to do with the fact I was emulating it, but once while playing... I think it was 6? I fell into spikes, and when i died, Mega Man dropped a large health up, I [parasitic bomb] you not.

As far as not emulated, I encountered a bug in X4, where final Sigma would never show up. You'd fall down the hole into the final battle area, and it's got the rumbling going on and all that [parasitic bomb], but Sigma never shows up when you reach the trigger point.

Isn't that how the name came about?
See I thought Reploids were called such because they approximately replicate X, but apparently I'm wrong.
Nope. Term has never been stated to mean a replica of X. Because they aren't replicas of him. They are based on him and his designs.

Like Gaia said, Replica Human or something like that would actually make more sense, and tie in to Z4's prologue about how they were created to be as Human as possible.

Either way though, the term Reploid/Repliroid has never been broken down.

It's Dr. Wily looking like Dr. Light. I suppose having a large bearded scientist with glasses seemed like a good idea for a bad guy.

Because Duo is there? I guess that means Duo came back.
Do remember that between the destruction of Wily Tower and Duo leaving, Mega Man was unconscious. Wily tower collapsed, Duo rescued him and removed the Evil Energy from him, then before leaving, left Protoman a message for Rock. Rock wakes up and Light tells him Duo saved him. So when he is out there stargazing, protoshades shows up and tells him Duo's message. Mega Man 8-FIN.

Some time later, Duo comes back to Earth, I believe pursuing another alien energy source, that is mentioned in his ending, and he mentions how Light and Rock once saved his life.

I'm... pretty sure it means exactly what I think it does.  Canonity basically means "official," usually referring to a timeline or an event.  For example, canonically speaking, Ryu won the first "World Warrior" tournament.  The non-canonical side of that?  Ken winning that one instead of Ryu. Another example: Lui Kang canonically won the first Mortal Kombat tournament, but non-canonically, any of the other seven competitors could have won.

*finger waggle*  Don't tell me I don't know what canonity is.  XP

But... a canon is, to use one of it's many applications, is "any comprehensive list of books within a field. " EG the Shakespeare canon. In this case, the Mega Man canon would encompass games that are well, Mega Man games, would it not?

I don't mean to get into an argument over this, but I feel this all needs to be clarified since I always hear the term canon being tossed around to refer to things that have happened in the continuity, "the canonical scenario in X5 is the colony is destroyed and X fights Hunter Zero" and then the other side saying that is not how the term works, since they would all be canon since all the scenarios are in the same one game, whereas only one of them actually happened however.

* Originally, Mega Man & Bass was meant to be an "alternate continuation" of the Mega Man classic series that followed the events of Mega Man 8, but Mega Man 9's ending directly referenced the ending of Mega Man & Bass (as well as the endings of the other eight numerical games in the series).
Are there any sources to back that up? MM Wiki doesnt seem to have any for that particular bit of trivia. And MM Wikia is NOT the best place to go for accurate Mega Man information. More specifically when it concerns story. The Mega Man network Wiki is better.

I mean, it's working title WAS 8.5, after all. Nowhere have I ever read that it was supposed to be an alternate continuity.

Also, Mega Man 9 directly references MM&B in the Wily begging montage, meaning it IS in fact part of the timeline, not alternate.

Besides, Capcom doesnt do Alternate Continuities. Not like DC/Marvel. The Earth 1/2/3 etc. It's either part of the timeline, or it's simply not. Usually the licensed products are sometimes excluded.

That's not to say they have not done Alternate realities/universes, but not alternate continuities of the same timeline.

Actually, Rockman Online would have been the first time something like that was done. (and again, it was not made by Capcom)

Rockman 9, whose canonity is debatable given it and 10 were made by Inti Creates.
Everything is canonical. It's all part of the Rockman Canon. Canonicity doesnt mean what you think it means.

However, Rockman 9 and 10 are easily part of the timeline because the Zero and ZX series are part of the timeline, and both are made by Inti as well. Rockman 10 directly ties into the X series with the Roboenza becoming the basis for the Sigma Virus, and the reason for Light giving X Perfect Virus Countermeasures, making him completely immune to the Sigma Virus.

The Zero series timeline references both Rockman 10, and the events that it's plot later caused in the X series.

Mainly how the Roboenza made Light consider that X might fight virus infected Robots in the future, and how it was the basis for the Sigma Virus that was put in Zero's Capsule, which made Zero good and Sigma evil.

TL;DR, 8.5, 9, and 10 are all part of the timeline, since the Zero series and ZX series are too.

Oh god, why did I design my protagonist with multi-layered shoulder pads? It's a pain in the ass trying to get it NOT to look like something else. Designing the Medieval/Cyberpunk theme is gonna be tougher than I thought..
I tried to combine Cyberpunk and Steampunk before. It is almost completely impossible to combine the two settings together without having them separate from the get-go. (it was a game idea with some friends, that had a Cyberpunk character from a futuristic world stranded in a more gothic/medieval/steampunk setting. So really the only Cyberpunk element was the Main character's design...)

& Forte being an "alternate timeline" continuation of the series
Since when was Rockman and Forte an alternate timeline?

RnF2 was definitely not in house that I can remember, but im pretty sure it's in continuity, considering ZX references at least one of the bosses.

Flame sighed, and said:
"If you ask me, you probably should have looked into the matter the moment he started questioning the Original Dr. Light's morals and desire for peace... Dunno, just a thought."

"Gotcha."

Flame, sword in hand, ran towards the army of robots and began tearing away at them.

(For future reference, I don't exactly recall this Smithy character, little insight?)

After he leaves? Or before Duo leaves his message with Proto Man? It's all very vague. It feels like placing DBZ movies on a timeline.
Its not nearly that bad. It takes place, After 8. Not between 8 and the ending, where would you even get that idea?

Naw, thats the cool thing about these nifty new D-Arts Mega man figures by Bandai. They are kick ass bitchin' quality for at most, 50$.

I mean, 50$ for an action figure is still a bit much for an action figure, 'specially if you buy the whole lot or he basic lot, of X, Zero, X2 Zero and Vile, but they are great quality and come with accessories like pew pews and Bourbon glasses. Plus, the figures themselves are actually more along the lines of 35-40. It's the shipping that usually shoots the price up. But I haven't checked the differences between the Japanese or Western shipping prices, if there are any. I still only have X and X1 Zero. Would have to dig deep to buy X2 Zero, and Vile, and save up for Rock, and Black Armor Zero. Auugh. It kinda sucks not having a job.

I hope the Ride Armor isn't too expensive if they make it.

And I make the counter argument, that it's very fundamental gameplay makes it not the best. because they had to remove two staple moves from the main character to make the game challenging. That in and of itself is artificial difficulty. Much like 9 had artificial difficulty by throwing [parasitic bomb] at you from offscreen. The extra characters were nice and all, (Bass sprite still felt lazy though, and Proto Man still doesnt work like he should) but they had to nerf your abilities in order to make the game challenging, and to force you to rely on special weapons. That is a flaw that cannot be overlooked when discussing "best" games. ESPECIALLY when it throws challenges at you which are clearly designed for said abilities. Like shield attackers, whos sole reason for existing is as a gimmick enemy for the slide, or gaps just low enough that Mega Man cannot walk under them, but which would clearly present no problems to a well placed slide.

That kind of thing is something I hate. But It's one of inti's worst habits.

Granted, 9 is more of an offender here with this. But 10 has it's moments too. That's not to say 10 isn't a great game, it is, but I think it is far from "the best in the series", solely due to how it presents it's challenge.
