The upcoming anniversary is the 25th. Mega Mania WOULD be nice though. they could even throw in the two GBC X games. Not like the 3DS couldnt handle it. Maybe even toss in some cheap 3D paper mario-esque effects.

noone is stoping you from just using X or Zero in X5 and 6. Or X7 and 8 for that matter.

and yeah. Zero is, since when he needs to mess with Sigma's green fireballs, he just uses his defense move and reflects them at siggy. then fires a homing missile, and therefore can still hit the bastard.

1203
So like the Scramble Battle idea that never happened?

Sigma x7 is easy period. But specifically, you could hang around the upper left blocks ans it would be [acid burst] easy. But yeah, the scale of final sigma wts the best

Yes it can. I have severe myopia, which is a worse form of myopia. They're both the same condition. Cancer takes a billion different forms, and itself, too, has stages. Sigma progresses all the time, and he never changes.
It really doesn't work that way.

I submit to you UMvC3.  And SFxT.  And XOver.
To far lesser extents than Legends.
Generally, Mega Man discussion results in well, discussions. Not people bouncing off the walls.

Sigma's battle theme from Rockman X7.

Need I say more?
Thats not the Boss theme. That's the Sigma Battle theme. Learn the difference. Our Blood Boils is an awesome track, but the regular boss theme- is not.

If I recall, most of Axl's weapons were the same as X's.

Objection Man I fixed it for you

Not at all. Only when legends is mentioned does everyone go batshit crazy.

Regular Mega man talk results in a large forums which partake in massive debates and discussions on every single little thing.

It's Ryu's Shinku Hadoken from the Crossover games
the Tails Clan uses it in Command Mission, where they call it Annihilator Hadouken.

Annihilation Fist is a better name than Vacuum Surge Fist, IMO.

Im surprised they didnt make Axl a rapid fire shooter from the start. He really was just X minus a charged shot. X8 did Axl SO much better. but then again, they couldnt really do multi directional shooting in X7 like X8, could they?

Also, X7's boss theme? good? Only the SNES remixes sounds good. X7 is one of the worst. I dont mind X5's boss theme either. And while I don't hate X6's, it does sound terribly passive. Although id have to say X3 has the worst boss theme- it's literally a 10 second short loop. The boss intro is better than the boss music even.

Well, there is a difference. One identifies as the opposite gender and is the opposite gender mentally, and will oftentimes go to great lengths to become the opposite gender. The other just likes dressing in the opposite gender's clothes, and it stops at that.

Not really matter of being PC, just, the definition of the terms.

Not ALL of X8's tracks are bad. Jakob is one of the good ones, (and the small bit of "elevator music" style at the beginning is genius) along with Copy Sigma, Lumine 2nd, Vile, the Capsule theme, and the Gateway Station theme. A lot of the others are painfully forgettable though, or just sound real generic rock like.

maybe I just don't like the kind of guitars they used. Instrumentation is a pretty big thing, and it's the difference between Sonic 4's Intro stage sounding like total ass, or with genesis instruments, actually sounding pretty damn good.

Well to be fair, X7 feels more like a traditional X game than X8. MUCH more.

I remember I think mighta been last year, when it was late and there was at least two spambots running rampant on the site while no staff was on. That was something. Amusing, definitely.

It really is sad just how WELL that sums it up.

That said, I found it funny. I mean... It's true... Construction of the rocket has fallen behind...

Especially if you take the whole phrase as a metaphor for Legends 3. Sounds like a little Developer jab there to me.

Also, that X intro stage is totally bitchin'.

The Boss rush? yeah the Gateway station was pretty cool. Especially how they make you think, "Oh right, Boss rematches... Sigma Fight... ENDGAME TIME!" then they pull the "lolnope, its a fake, He's not dead yet" and have you go one more stage.

Ill admit that was structured nicely. Though When you think about it, there's really only 2 final stages, with a small Boss Rematch area inbetween them. I think X8 might just have the least number of final stages in the X series...

X7's physics were not much better, to be honest. They were in fact, broken. You could not dash wall kick properly. X8's physics were not an issue, its just... other things that were. I could name a few, but the biggest is bland level design with very little replay value. Trillobyte's is the worst offender, using the gimmick of the giant Mechaniloid to repeat the short stage twice, back and forth, with 2 quick miniboss fights with it, and then a really weird miniboss section with random crystal wall dodging. (and not to mention TWO- not one, but TWO ride chaser stages.) Only Stages that were any good, were the Primrose, and a LITTLE bit of the Booster Forest and Pitch Black. Neither was perfect, but were alright for certain aspects. Particularly Pitch Black's Metal Gear X stealth aspect which was interesting and fun to play around with as Axl.

And Jakob was alright, if only for the novelty of the concept, and the execution, which was well done. (you actually see the sky get darker outside as you get further up in the sky)

And I would say that X8's music is "generic" rock. Most of it was forgettable outside of a scant few tunes.

I suppose Edward technically counts, but these seem to always be straight up swordsmen. Edward is an alchemist, which in traditional character types would be.. well, the alchemist.

Is there a specific character archetype for the swordsman with a gauntlet/artificial arm..? It's a character type I am seeing frequently these days.

You've got Albel Nox from Star Ocean, Ragna the Bloodedge from Blazblue, and then when i was choosing a class in Elsword Online, theres another guy with a sword and gauntlet/artificial arm. Theres him, AND the default swordsman character.

They also always seem to be of the darker character mold, or antiheroes or similar stuff.

I don't know. But that's the way it is. Thats why it's so tricky to release Legends stuff. They cant tell how much of the support are actual sales. Its the reason they figured a Comicon poll would do the trick, since if you have the money to buy tickets and visit their booth, you more than likely are willing to buy a figure. Anyone can vote in a facebook poll.

But in the end, the poll had X come out on top, due to the hype surrounding the current D-Arts figures, and the showcase ones.

Also, it's a risk to release legends alongside the X, because again, they dont know how many people will actually buy.  They know for sure people will buy X, and they know that people will bu a Classic Rock. They Don't know however, for sure that a Trigger figure will sell as well. Keep in mind they would have to prototype, make molds, etc etc, make a whole bunch of figures, and if they dont sell well, they used money on it that they didnt make back.

I dont know how their system works... You or someone should pose them the question on why. I mean, seems like a good idea, no? make a very small limited run to test the waters? Im assuming that they dont because they dont know for sure it would sell and if it doesnt they will have wasted money on development costs, but I'm not them, so I can only offer an opinion.

Maybe it's because Legends is nowhere near as universally popular as Classic or X?

I don't get your attitude of "for some reason".

I loved Legends, I signed onto the Facebook page, and I'd buy a Legends 3, but even I can see that it is not as popular as Classic or X, which are more mainstream.

Legends was never as popular as them, and it shows, when they never did well in the first place. Only during the following decade did it gain a cult following amongst the Mega Man fanbase.

The key there- is amongst the Mega Man fanbase. I have friends who are not Mega Man "fans" like me, but do like Classic and X. Particularly X. They have never played Legends, and the didnt like it's dungeon crawler format above the more fast paced action platform X series.

Legends is not as popular as you think it is. It gets hype, but not actual caring support. People in the gaming community align themselves with mega Man fans against Capcom's cancelling of L3, and the fan efforts, not because they all love Legends, but out of empathy for their fellow gamers and such a classic franchise being treated they way it does by the company. They will jump on the legends bandwagon, but give them a poll as to what figures they are more likely to buy, and they will pick Classic or X, depending on how much exposure to the franchise they have. (people with less exposure are likely to choose classic, and may think he and X are the same character. People with a bit more might have played X1 on the SNES, and pick that.)

I hate to sound like a dick, but seriously. People need to get over their perceived "huge" demand of the series. There is not as much actual demand as you think there is. There is SUPPORT, but not all of that support is demand. It's just people who support the fanbase against the way Capcom Treated them and the franchise.

As far as Bandai waning to do Legends, that means they will do Legends. No need to despair or get angry over poll results. It just means you have to wait a little longer.
