I'd say it just kinda folds up/deconstructs from there.X actually did what he normally does with the buster, but without turning his hand into the buster itself, because he couldn't.
And the whole Shining Finger thing in MHX definitely seems to show that X can reroute energy to it. Of course metal is a great conductor anyway, but the point still stands.

Haha... I consider myself revolting bya ll means. but not because I look at a girl who looks too young. Im just crazy deep down inside. It kind of scares me a bit. but the voice in my head calms me down.
