He was evil. doesnt mean he was insane. plus, X7 and 8 prove he is more than capable of rational intelligent thought. the kind that insane peoiple cannot do. He is a cunning mastermind.
1. You say that Sigma was sane in X8. He was not. Every time Siggy transferred himself to a new body, he got crazier. Compare X1's Original Sigma to X6's Reborn Sigma.
2. You say the newgen reploids cannot go irregular. The events of X8 disprove this; Lumine himself said that they can do so at will.
3. You say that they have Sigma of his own free will rebelled against humanity; he only did so after being corrupted with the program that made Zero go nuts to begin with. That's not free will; that's being corrupted into madness.
4. Disregarding the fact the IHX was a retcon, VAVA wasn't completely sane either; his only real goal was his obsession with X. He rebelled of his own free will, yes, but he did so the same way Repliforce did.
Newgens cannot go irregular because of the Sigma virus. they go irregular because Sigma and his DNA is already inside them from the start.
Sigma had already been thinking about Reploids vs Humans for a while. The virus simply gave him the power to put his vision into effect.

nano technology I say. If New Gens have the ability to change their apearance and physically become someone else, without using holograms, then I think similar can be applied to Busters, no? they become the buster. (in the flash of light ones.)

Flame Frowned at the Parasite Queen. He had played Metroid Prime, and knew he had to SHOOT her... The problem was... Flame had no long range weapons... Not any he could access... But he had to defeat parasite Queen or he couldn't get out. Plus he couldn't seriously leave it there... The edge was too far from the tube to do anything else BUT shoot...
He DID have one thing he could use... He could program inject himself... It was a rebuild of his program as a warmachine... A reconstructed programming sequence that temporarily increased his power output and increased all his abilities. It made him what he was supposed to be for a brief moment, while retaining his mind...
There was one downside though... every time he used it, it was slowly degrading his neurological passages... But he had no choice. It allowed him to access his body's concealed weapons. Which would come in handy.
"Alright... No choice then..."
Flame pressed some buttons on a pop up holographic display, and pressed -ENTER-
Almost instantly, the WDS began broadcasting the program inject sequence, which Flame had asked Wily ll to install a while ago. It reached Flame and invaded his control system, overwriting his code and making him feel faster, stronger, and more powerful than normally. His eyes went from their usual color to a sharp crimson, and his pupils became slit like. Flame began to glow with a powerful aura, and his entire body did a check on itself and his concealed weapons activated.
from his wrist popped up a double barrel mini machine gun.
"Alright, Lets get this over with."

Not even the X4 version of the Ultimate Armor, which is specifically shown to remain intact after X collapses unconscious, yet is gone when they come to.X's armors NEVER show up in cutscenes. EVER. Its called not wanting to have to make separate images and cutscenes for each armor, or each combination thereof. Do you think the X8 developers are seriously going to make 4 different cutscenes for each of X's armors? (Neutral, Icarus, Hermes, Ultimate) and for each part combination? and then there's Zero and Axl's secret armors. Do you know how many variations of images and cutscenes they have to make?
......you know, it just occurred to me. I just demonstrated, without trying to, that it's impossible to get any kind of consistency out of the X vs. Zero fight if you started the game as X. Either Zero has something he shouldn't, or X is lacking something he shouldn't.
similar goes for the other games since X4. they have to identify which parts you have equipped, which armor, etc... thats too much. its easier to draw him with no armor. To this extent they draw him teleporting without armor im sure.
also, Zero =lazyness. in the intro, he trashes his X2 buster, and cannot use it again. Unless we say that in that scenario, Fighting Ultimate armor X is the fight that actually happens, then its lazy spriting. they didnt want to make a new set of sprites just for that fight, even though they had already made sprites for his Awakened form's levitating, and for his Giant Saber swing, and it wouldnt have been that hard to make a new set of buster sprites, even if it was just the buster and not the pose that changed.

I never really liked X8's system Its too easy. You just start from the point you died, or a halfway point... whats the point then? it makes [parasitic bomb] too easy. And why do they go to the continue screen instead of just regenerating? its stupid.
