I do not know how I would survive a plane ride to Australia. Even with a connecting flight in Honolulu. :P

"I just reach into my backpack like this," Pyro said as he shoved his arm into his backpack. He nearly fell inside what had to has to be a limitless expanse of clothes, food, TMs, and the whole nine yards inside a relatively small pack. Had Firebrawl not grabbed him by the leg, he probably would have disappeared. The long-suffering Blaziken pulled out his trainer who now had a large sandwich in his hands. "Yay!"  8)

I would be okay with a new type if it wasn't stupid and made sense.
I was hoping for a "Light" type rather than "Fairy."

Is it me or is it highly appropriate that the rumored Fairy-type is weak to Poison and Steel? Considering that Tinkerbell drank poison for Peter Pan (before she got better) and that cold iron is typically a weakness of fairies. I do not get the Dragon immunity though.

Meanwhile, Pyro was curled up in his sleeping bag and sound asleep along with his Pokemon.

(Given the seriousness of the moment, methinks it would be better to have Pyro sit this one out until we move to the next scene.)

"You should try it with chocolate and graham crackers," Pyro said to Mewtwo and demonstrated how to make a s'more by squishing a toasted marshmallow between two crackers and a chocolate bar, "Now you try it." 8)

Hm, I could take a trip to Vancouver on Amtrak. Provided I get a ride to Shelby, MT.  :O

I'd pay more for less hassle.

Rail would be more hassle for me if I did it within Canada. I would have to take a bus to Edmonton (500 km due north) in order to catch a train in either direction.

If airports weren't that big of a hassle, I'd prefer flying. What I really really REALLY want this country to have is a high speed rail system, like most other industrial countries do. The fact that we don't is a goddamn crime.

I wonder how practical that it for the United States and Canada because of the sheer size of the countries compared to Japan and Europe. Heck, traveling cross-country by rail is ludicrously expensive (about $3K coast-to-coast the last I heard.)

Flight is probably the only realistic option for those of us west of the Mississippi.

All this security makes me wonder if it would be more worth it to cross the border on land and take a train to NYC (which is 2500 km away and the nearest stop for passenger rail is nearly 200km away.) :P

Anything would work, though It'd be expensive either way.

Well, I suppose we can cram ourselves into one hotel room. Dibs on the bathtub!

Worse. Far worse. I don't have to remove my shoes or belt at the DMV, or run the risk of me getting my license renewed cancelled.

Man, the last time I had to remove my shoes at an air was when I was going to NYC. Seems we canucks are not wary of another shoe bomber. :P

Pyro seemed as bothered by the cold as he was by anything else, which is to say he was not bothered at all. He roasted a few marshmallows over the red-hot coals and assembled them into s'mores. He tossed one onto Mr. Spook's tongue, the Shadow Pokemon rolled it back like a carpet, and swallowed in one gulp.

"Gar!" 8)

Firebrawl sat next to his trainer, roasting marshmallows beside him while Loki curled up on the Blaziken's lap.

The poor Caterpie could not even hear the "SWISH" of the Aerodactyl's attack, and found itself flying into the horizon. An astonished Bug Catcher dropped to his knee and screamed, "NOOOOOOOOOOO! My ultimate Pokemon!"

Pyro appeared above his shoulder, "That was awesome! Maybe you and me can start a wresting league and I could wear a mask like Crasher Wake and..."

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" the Bug Catcher screamed and fled. His mob followed shortly there after in pure terror while Pyro sniffled.

"WAIT!" he shouted out the Bug Catcher, "I was gonna show you my German suplex." :'(

Most of the crowd began to raise their pitchforks and torches like medieval peasants when Mewtwo made like Moses. The Cooltrainer that Pyro chased with his platypus in Viridian stepped up, "Can't you see he's a menace to society? The Viridian Gym leader won't take any challenges because of him!"

"Oh!" Pyro chirped, "So that's who the angry Italian plumber was. He needs Sharpedoes with lasers on their heads!"

Then a half dozen members of the mob pounced on Pyro, each holding a length of rope to bind him. The resulting struggle kicked up a cloud of dust and one could hear cursing... as well as other sound effect one would hear from an old Warner Brothers cartoon. After the dust had settled, it was Pyro's assailants who found themselves tied up while the trainer stood triumphant and appeared amused by their abortive ambush. The young trainer even managed to give half of them a wedgie that wrapped around their torsos like a straightjacket.

"SEE?" an exasperated Bug Catcher exclaimed and unclipped a pokeball from the strap of his bag, "He's not even human! Hand him over or you'll have to go  through me! GO CATERPIE!"

(Heh, heh, heh. Anyone up for a curbstomp? 8D)

The Bug Catcher's jaw dropped and nearly hit the pavement, "He does WHAT?!"

"BURN THE HERETIC!" the anonymous trainer shouted again and the stirring from the crowd indicated they were seriously considering it.

"That sounds like fun!" Pyro said, "Can I try?"

(I knew I that name was familiar. FIRE THE RETCON CANNON! Deoxys is now "Dan.")

"You know this maniac?!" The Bug Catcher asked them incredulously, "He talked about this creepy nonsense about joining him at his court in Lavaridge and this being a television show. Then he obliterated my Pokemon!"

The entire group soon heard a low rumble in the distance that drew louder and louder until a stampede of panicked trainers became visible with the Bug Catcher that Pyro encountered in Viridian Forest leading the herd. Just when it appeared that they would trample over them, the stampede came to an abrupt halt when they caught glimpse of Pyro.

A frightened Bug Catcher pointed a shaker finger, "It's him! He's a demon from space!"

His accusation seemed to fly over Pyro's head. The boy simply grinned and said, "Don't be silly. Dan's from outer space and he makes the bestest caramel apples." 8)

"BURN THE HERETIC!" an anonymous trainer in the back shouted.

(...and "Dan" would be Deoxys. And I
yoinked
the "demon from space" comment from one of my favorite YouTube Videos.)
