Roleplay / Re: RPM POKEMON ADVENTURE THING
« on: December 18, 2012, 06:46:30 AM »
(I base my Pokemon mostly on ones I use in-game, which includes a shiny Garchomp and a Blaziken with Speed Boost. My Speed Boost-ed Blaziken is semi-legit as I PokeSAVed a female Torchic with that ability and bred it a few times. I was going to have a Galvantula on my team for this thread but reconsidered after watching Sakura and Lt. PB's battle. Everything else is more or less coincidence.  o//////o)

"Wait!" Pyro called out them, "But we haven't started the conga line yet!"

He sighed and picked up the shiny rock the grunts left behind. After he glanced over it for a second, he pocketed it while Loki walked up to him holding the grunts' wallets in his mouth. Pyro smiled and patted the Zorua on the head.

"Looks like we're eating out tonight!"  8)

"Zor!"  8)

Mr. Spooked pulled out a stereo and started to play a
a certain song with a catchy beat
and them placed his hands on Pyro's shoulders. Loki jumped on his trainer's head and the trio began to move forward. A more reserved and stoic Firebrawl buried his beak in his palms but reluctantly joined the conga line as it moved farther down Diglett Cave.

(Memo to self: I need to introduce my Empoleon, Memphis, soon.)

(@PB: Oh snap!  8D)

Pyro jumped and did a back flip over one the Team Legend member's heads, which put them in the path of their pokemon's attacks.

"Yikes! Aren't we touchy?"

Loki jumped as well and landed next to him. The tiny Zorua, unintimidated, growled at the Team Legends members and appeared ready to bite off their shins. Pyro unclipped two pokeballs from his belt and beamed with a flippant grin.

"Nobody told me there was a party down here. I'll bring some more guests! GO FIREBRAWL! GO MR. SPOOK!"

He threw them into the air and out came a Blaziken wearing an Expert Belt around its waist and a Gengar.

"Blaziken!"

"Gen-GAR!"

"Party time, guys! Firebrawl! Kick it up with that hi jump kick! Mr. Spook! Disable that thunder wave! Loki... dazzle 'em with your extrasensory!"  8)

Pyro would have trembled in fear, had he not already sneaked up behind them when they turned the lights back on.

"Great balls of Voltorbs!" he exclaimed loud enough to give them all a scare, "I didn't now the Otakon was in town."

He then yanked at one's scarf, "Oooh, silky! You guys really shelled out the big bucks to cosplay."  8D

Pyro
whistled
to himself as he and Loki made their way through Diglett Cave without incident but something troubled the trainer deeply. It was the chilling silence, for one. He swore he would have heard the cries of Diglett and its evolved form, Dugtrio, in a place called "Diglett Cave." All he heard was an eerie dripping noise from the nearby stalactites. However, his intuition sensed something amiss. Like something watched from the numerous shadows. Loki stopped and growled at them. Pyro stopped as well and slipped his goggles on his forehead down over his eyes.

"Lesse what the Devon Scope picks up, Loki."

That is when he saw numerous figures in the infrared range. He could only make out some vague, but human, shapes.

"What's the matter, boys?" Pyro called out to no one in particular, "I thought the gridiron look was in this season!"

((Oh, something simple, really, regarding the evil team. Without too many spoilers, let's just say that this version of a certain someone has too much time on his hands. =w= ))

(Any chance Pyro may encounter them in the cave?  [eyebrow])

Always having been terrible with directions, Pyro and his entourage flew from one edge of Vermillion City to the other in search of Diglett's Cave until they came to the what appeared to be the entrance. Jawbreaker touched own in a rather large indentation in the land from what either had to have been a meteor strike, or a snoozing Snorlax, Pyro recalled Jawbreaker back to his Pokeball while the Zorua jumped from his backpack and landed next to his trainer. Pyro placed his arms on his waist and grinned.

"Well, Loki, our journey to Cinnabar Island starts here."

"Zor, zor!"  :)

"Let's see what's in store."

He then walked into the cave and Loki hopped on his shoulder as he descended into murky depths below, not knowing what waited down there. Given Pyro's reputation (at least in Hoenn), a whole lot of trouble.

(I will have to put a challenge Lt. PB on my to do list. I would find it interesting to see a battle between ego and pure chaos would pan out.)

(I am going to assume that Lavaridge Gym is available after these two years  :P)

"I'M KING OF THE WORLD!!!" shouted Pyro from the bow of the world-famous SS Anne, docked in Vermillion Harbor. His arms were stretched out as he stood on top of the guard railing, which elicited a stupefied look from the ship's crew and the various Wingulls and Pelippers perched next to him.

"Everyone's a critic."  -_-

He unclipped a Pokeball from his belt and released a shiny Garchomp whose intimidating stare and razor-sharp fangs scared the holy bejebsus out of the Wigulls and Pelippers who scattered in its presence. The Garchomp flexed its arms.

"Well, Jawbreaker. I have four weeks paid vacation from the Lavaridge Gym and I intend to use them to their fullest! Huzzah!"

"Arrrrcho."

Pyro casually dismissed his dragon-shark's concerns, "Oh, I'm sure nothing will happen to the gym while I'm away."

Elsewhere, in the wilds of Hoenn, Mount Chimney blows its top. Pyro jumped on Jawbreakers back and pointed north.

"Onward to our holy quest! To find and devour the fabled Cinnabar Volcano Burger!"  8)

Jawbreaker nodded and took off at near-mach speed. However, while they were cruising over the city, Sakura and Lt. PB's battle caught his attention so he ordered Jawbreaker to land nearby. It was only by sheer chance that he landed between Sapph and Lt. PB, though he did not recognize the Elite Four member or the Vermillion Gym leader.

"'Sup dudes?" he then looked to Sakura, "Dudette. And do any of you know where I can find the best Cinnabar Volcano Burger in all the seven cosmos?"

A Zorua then poked its head from his backpack.

"Zor!"

Pyro, now clad in an 80s orange suit, danced around to Thriller. Perfectly imitating the late King of Pop's moves in front of a tormented boforte...

"Ya know it's thrill-ah! Thrill-ah night!"

He glanced at the captive.

"What's the matter? I haven't had this much fun since I last went to Milwaukee! Waitasec... where am I again?"  o-O

Pyro flew into the wall and bounced off to clamp onto boforte's face, giving him a mouth full of fur.

"Someone's grumpy today. Maybe I have something that might cheer you up."

The fox let go of boforte's head and pulled out a boombox from the hammerspace under his bandanna.

"I hear this got, like, a billion views on YouTube! That means everyone must like it!"

He turned in on, and the ubiquitous k-pop song "Gangnam Style" started booming from the speakers. Pyro jumped on top of boforte's head and started dancing. Oddly enough, the rhythm could be heard all over the station regardless of distance.

"OPEN GANGNAM STYLE!"  8)

(Anyone want to take bets on when Pyro will push him into a nervous breakdown?)

(Captured and full of rage, eh? Sounds like a challenge!)

Pyro managed to slip under the sensors and skittered through the corridors unnoticed (though his presence caused some inexplicable electrical surges.) He kicked out the grate of a ventilation shaft and came across the captured boforte.

"Hello sailor!" He grinned, "A new challenger approaches!"

He hopped on top of boforte's head and clamped on tightly while swishing his tail.

"Whatchu doin'?"

(Maybe it is just impulse but I thought I would drop in and see where this does. Hope no one minds. :P)

Drawn to chaos like a horde of ravenous zombies to a university symposium, the vulpine harbinger of havoc known as Pyro materialized in the engine room of the Sex Station in a puff crimson flame and smoke. His ears twitched when he looked to his new environs and tilted his head in confusion.

"This doesn't look like Saskatoon Polka Fest..."

He pulled out a map from under the bandanna wrapped 'round his neck and unfolded it.

"Maybe I should've turned left at Balzac."

Green wha? Never heard of it. Wait. That film that must not be named?

Well, it would be nice for Warner Bros./DC to stop dragging their feet on Wonder Woman. Flash could work as a film. Aquaman has some serious potential because of the sibling rivalry with Ocean Master for the throne of Atlantis. Hell, I think it would be cool if they could work Oliver Queen from "Arrow" in.

I will need to burn the lyrics to Trish's Tacos into my head whenever I hear "Gourmet Race." Does she do delivery to the not-so-frozen wastes of Alberta? (Give it five minutes. Nature changes moods so fast here, the residents get whiplash.)

Well, I would probably be singing a different tune with they opened with Supes getting punched into that safe and then transitioned to where the trailer started with young Clark. That being said, I know there will be a decent, if not epic, fight since Zod is the villain. However, that leaves me asking one question, when will it be Brainiac's time?  O^O

Call me cautiously optimistic after getting burned by Superman Returns. My problem with this trailer that it takes too long to get to the juicy part and focused on "tormented" Supes  too much to my liking. I guess that you need that inner conflict to build character but the trailer just did not scream "Superman" until I saw the explosions and Superman on fire. It really needed a better hook.

It had Supes being thrown into a safe and a city being destroyed. This trailer has more action than pretty much every live-action Super movie ever! XD
Donner Cut of Superman II nonwithstanding. Supes crashing into the State of Liberty = Pure win to me ;)

Marvel really has been trying to push GotG as a major franchise with the upcoming film, why do I have this creeping feeling that it might backfire?
