Pyro jumped up to avoid the sweep and executed a mid-air somersault. Then he did the moonwalk upon landing.

Meanwhile, Mr. Spook was surreptitiously recording the whole thing, and the video would become viral once it hit Saffron City.

Pyro giggled, "I know you can't resist, Old Man. This is how I won the Sinnoh League!"  8)

A boom box appeared in the young trainers hands. He pressed the "play" button and a
song from a little while back
boomed from the speakers. Pyro started shaking his hips to the beat.

Just shoot for the stars!

You wanted control
so we waited
I put on a show

The trainer then broke out into a huge dancing number with his Pokemon as backup dancers.

(I will have to press the Start button soon, but what do you guys think? I don't think I could RP Pyro without him breaking into dance. 8D)

Except Pyro had switched the sake bottle with another bottle that contained a combination of espresso, energy drink, and a lot of Pixie Stix at the last moment. How did he do that?  o~O

You know breaching the fourth wall could get us both in a lot of trouble, right?

Pyro effortlessly rolled to a stop on the ground while Loki jumped off beforehand. The little Zorua made a dash for the sake bottle and grabbed it with his mouth before running back to his. Mr. Spook, for his part, hovered over the old man. Had he known Dream Eater or Nightmare, he would have really had fun with the codger but settled on giving him a lick with his elongated tongue.

Loki handed (figuratively) the sake bottle in Pyro's hand, "Zor, zor, zorua!"

Pyro blinked, "You want me to pour this on the ground? I dunno, Loki. Looks expensive to me."

"Zor!" -_-

The trainer swished the bottle and shrugged before he poured the sake out from the bottle."

Pyro still had the element of surprise as he suddenly appeared atop the old man, perched on his shoulders. The young trainer/nutcase looked down at him and cocked his head to the side.

"Wow," he said, wearing a Gyarados-wide grin, "I never seen an old man move like that before... well... maybe Mr. Briney before he retired to that shipwreck in the sky... So what do you use? Rare candies? Carbos?"

Pyro could have easily sidestepped the old man and continued on his way to Viridian City but something aroused the trainer's curiosity. He picked up the bottle resting next to the old man and took a whiff of it only to cringe at the scent of fermented rice. Then he pressed his ear to the old man's back to hear no heartbeat... and forgot that it was the codger's snoring that drowned it out. He looked to Mr. Spook.

"I don't hear a heartbeat!" he said, "I think he had a heart attack! What do you think, Mr. Spook?"

Something about the Shadow Pokemon's grin appeared more malevolent than usual, "Gen, gen, gar, gengar!" XD

"Zor!" Loki added, "Zorua!" '>.>

"I think I know enough about medicine from that episode of All My Chanseys I saw on TV four months ago," Pyro said, "So should I jumpstart the old man's ticker?"

Mr. Spook clapped his hands and then rubbed them deviously, "Gar!" 8)

Pyro pulled out a surgical mask and tied it over his mouth, "Well, that settles that!"

He took a Pokeball and threw it over the old man, "Go Socks!"

"Rooooooow-TOM!" the Plasma Pokemon yelled as it added on the ground with a loud, metallic crash from the washing machine it possessed.

"Use Thunderbolt, Socks! We have a life to save!" Pyro shouted to the Rotom, "Clear!"

Socks smirked as he fired a lightning bolt as the hapless codger.

(Anyone think I ventured into comedic sociopathy here? :O)

Elsewhere, Pyro finally made it to the outskirts of Viridian City. There were barely any people on Route 2. Either he had scared everyone away or it was really a desolate place for trainers. He came across an old man blocking the path. Curious, he carefully approached the motionless codger who reeked of alcohol though Pyro did not recognize the scent. He picked up a stick and started poking the old man with with it.

"Hello...mister," he said, "Are you dead?"

The tip found its way to the old man's nostril.

(I hope someone can indulge me here.  -u-')

"I am really hungry for taffy for some odd reason," he said to Loki.

The Zorua blinked, "Zor?"

He then shrugged and continued trotting down the worn path ahead, "Oh well. Time to get a movin'!"

(Think Team Legendary might be up to no good in Viridian City? ;))
