I just barely found out. Nintendo was an ass. I thought that I was too late for the patch, but they never released it.
Stack Smash was an affiliate of ]EE[ and was working with them in releasing the patch. They still have all their work and maybe will release it, but chances are slim since it could cause ]EE[ trouble.

PLay for fun. That way you don't panic. Panic only at the last 20 secs or during Sudden Death. I never really "practiced". You just keep on playing enough times and you can start "predicting" what the person may or may not do. Very useful. Oh, and learn from your mistakes. That only way you can get better is by losing and no one is going to be holding it over your head.
And trust me... You already are good. I excel better in one-to-one than free-for-all. The fact that you were beating me or at least tie-ing is saying something...
