What magazine was it? When was it published?

I dunno if either of them came with a magazine; Mom has most of the PC Tomb Raider games, and they might've been pack-ins with some of the later ones. If I had to guess, though, they might've come with an issue of Computer Games Strategy Plus, '97 or '98.

OK. :) (I hoped making it transparent might cut down the filesize...and there are transparent .JPEGs?)

Might as well submit these before going back to bed. First part of *lizsama's B-day present; poor Denise wouldn't be cut out for digging with Dash even if she hadn't stepped in a pothole.

Aaaand MOOD WHIPLASH! (Other half of Liz's present, by the way)

Poor Rock just got the liquid center beaten out of him by a roving gang of humans; Roll and Proto saved him, but since Rock and Roll aren't on the best terms right now, all she can do is wait. (This pertains to Liz's still in-progress fic.)

Maybe he should stop going outside at night without a knife?

Rebelion?

I know; I just found the Engrish amusing. (Though it's not as egregious as "Sherry"...)

Oh dear.

The first pic--I was trying to find the rest of that ad/leaflet thing's pages, as they'd fallen out, and they had a preview for FFVII PC; sadly, I could not, and a few Google searches turned up nothing. Anyone happen to have that thing lying around?

905
Missed one from a while back.

"Liberion"?

Well, I said I'd get around to taking pictures of 'em sometime.

All of these photos were taken in the basement, with a camera of dubious quality (that last one is especially blurry; my apologies). Darn flash kept making everything super-bright; a couple of shots had to be re-taken, and the camera ate through the batteries like a battery-eating bastard.

If I get any more figures, they'll probably be photographed separately. This file's already kinda large...

Would just scrap this, but too much effort was put into it.

Stored forms of the armours of almost every Keyblade wielder ("almost" because I forgot Mario, and wasn't sure about Master Xehanort and Vanitas. No spoilers, by the way). I shall make up for Mario's armour's absence later.

Also included is a BW Kairi, and Sora and Rock in their armours. Poor Rock is still itty-bitty.

This was on the bottom half of the previous deviation's card.

* Hey look, it's KH-Kalinka. Based heavily on her NAdM incarnation (or one of them; the artists didn't care much for consistency); that outfit needs a redesigning, though.

* From what I remember of Thundergirl (sixth lady from the left), she's a character of one of *KaitlinEXE's friends. I don't know their name, or even if I got Thundergirl's colour scheme right (the one pic of her I saw was in BW).

* Hikarix is a "Parody Sue", and I believe she originated in the Kingdom Hearts Fanstuff Rants LJ community (at least, her creator posted there). Hilariously, she bears an uncanny resemblance to Aqua (Hikarix was created long before Aqua ever showed up).

Oh, and Moogle.

As usual, staring at scrap for too long will cause blindness.

Overall, I'm sorry that I wanted to state my own opinion on this subject, that I presented my own possibilities regarding it, and that I dared to disagree with some of you. Sorry again. : <

My problem was that you were yelling at us in that last post. :/

And don't call us a bunch of spineless hacks for being wary of such a massive change to X's character going horribly wrong.

No. Just no.
Don''t turn my posts in this thread into some sick and pathetic fanfic idea (even though I had one like this, it was still different from the examples I presented here).
I was actually trying to just raise a point on how turning the real X into a villain opens many ways oif storytelling, and doesn't mean chara derailment and bad plot.
Jesus.

So what, all fanfic = character derailment and idiot plots? Because that's not true.

909
Zero / Re: What if Mega Man X was the bad guy?

And there's a serious risk of character derailment, which isn't deep.

Zero / Re: What if Mega Man X was the bad guy?

While X being the bad guy could leave an impact, it might not leave the right one, you know? The justification for his Face Heel Turn could be badly written or even a non-reason, and with a guy like X, you have to be really careful about explaining it.

Besides, who says the writers wouldn't chicken out and pull something like "LOL reprogrammed", so that X wouldn't be responsible for his actions and thus is still (sorta) a good guy? That'd be a lot worse than "LOL copy", at least to me.

Mostly involving an MMRS/Kampfer crossover. I only saw one episode of the latter, and while the concept was interesting, there was just too much damn fanservice.

Oh, and some DC-mainstays-as-magical-girls at the bottom.

...if those outfits are "punk", then I'm Alexander the Great.

'Twas fairly sporadic; inspired largely by some of ~Jack666rulez's art, hence one of her characters' inclusion here.

* Roxel (the kid next to Sora) originally had yellow and red hair; I made it orange since, with all due respect, the original colours make it a bit hard to focus on his hair.

* Mickey's outfit comes from an old issue of Disney Adventures (yes, those purple things are suspenders); Donald's wearing a Wizard Heartless's robes minus the symbol; Goofy's clothes are recoloured from a foreign image of the Phantom Blot; I'm not exactly sure what Alice is wearing.

* Kairi's yukata was inspired by one I saw during a Google image search for "punk".

* Rock and Roll's hairstyles are slightly different, since these are their KH1/CoM selves. Wuxa...well, his clothes are new. (Old?)

* The kid in the blue jacket is Nier, someone I mentioned in a journal; he's Sora's opposite and embodies the staff (the exact name of which I have yet to come up with, but it won't be "Key"-anything).

* Guest stars are Ayane, Musashi, and Shiki. I might be able to properly work them into my KH fanon.

Nothing on their site yet; maybe it's still February over there, or they're not announcing 'til later in the day.

X is still much taller than that. :/

Borrowed a lot of colours from an Iczer-One image; was trying to emulate its shading, but, well--doesn't look like it to me. :/

Named as such because they were drawn in an obsolete planner that Dad was going to toss; the pages were all blank.

* I don't think KH!Great Fairies would be like the ones of OoT/M'sM. :/

* Guy in the bottom-left corner is human!Sonic.

* Guy in the bottom-right corner is KH!Blues, minus the shades, and plus several reasons to mutilate whoever he's glaring at.

Maleficent is 10% Mistress of All Evil, 90% pimp.

How did she get Terra and Rock? Through hypnosis, of course (though not a massive time paradox--but my theory of how Terra can be hanging out with the likes of Rock will have to wait until I finish BBS). She didn't nab Kairi, however.

See, I found a plotbunny as I was inking this; unfortunately, it was a pornbunny. But I was determined to come up with something that wasn't just a lame framing device for the porn.

Act One starts with Rock, Terra, and Kairi landing in a new world, which appears to be a castle beside a forest; after some banter, Kairi opts to look through and pick some flowers while Rock and Terra go to explore the castle.

They're no one in it except Maleficent, who decides to demonstrate her awesome hypno skillz on the two. It later occurs to her that one of them is hot and the other is cute, and that putting them together equals sexy. Or rather, she's going to make them degrade themselves for her amusement.

What follows is man sex, obscured by a massive smoke screen of Maleficent gloating. Well, so much for the sexy.

By now, Kairi wants to join her companions and enters the castle--and then immediately wishes she didn't. Shock soon turns to rage and she attacks Maleficent, grabbing her staff just long enough to smash its crystal into the ground, breaking the spell. Kairi, Terra, and Rock flee the castle before Maleficent can un-break the crystal and blast them all.

Act Two begins with Kairi trying to console Terra and Rock (they didn't remember what they did, so she had to tell them). This act of cruelty (TITLE DROP!!1!) won't go unpunished, so they activate their armours and walk back to the castle, determined to settle the score...

Personally, I think someone else could write this better than me (especially someone who can actually focus of projects), but I've already requested a fic, back in 2008... hrm. :/

Playing KH: BBS again (no spoilers, by the way, though I'm almost done with Terra's story and have a better idea of spoilery things--even though a certain [Bumpity-Boom!] whose name starts with V is present and unmasked here. Sorry), and it inspired me to 1.) work on KHigh, and 2.) draw the Himmel siblings.

Their parents are away on a looooong business trip, and thus their aunt and uncle, Arlene and Larumia, have temporarily moved in.

The oldest one is Vanitas; following him are the twins, Ventus and Roxas, then Sora, then Xion. The first three attend Bastion High School, a prestigious place several stories high; Sora was supposed to go there, too, but the combination of "not enough money" and "less than stellar SAT scores" got him signed up for Kingdom High instead. Xion's still in middle school; if monetary problems persist, she'll be going to Kingdom as well.

Vanitas is kind of a jerk, but while he treats his siblings (Sora and Xion especially) with inconsistent amounts of jerkness, he's also determined to teach them everything he knows. (This being Vanitas, you can imagine how well this goes)

Ventus and Roxas aren't quite total opposites, but it's pretty close; the former is quite upbeat and optimistic, while the latter is, well, not. They tend to hang around Vanitas, and dress similarly.

Sora gravitates towards people, but they tend to not gravitate back. He's determined to find someone who will, besides his parents and sister, and in Kingdom High, he might finally find them. In the meantime, he has to put up with Vanitas's crap.

Xion takes after Sora, but has better luck in making friends. She and Sora like to spend weekends exploring their neighborhood, though neither of them can get very far in the woods behind their house.

All of the Himmels have strange dreams, and Sora's and Xion's tend to involve stained glass.

and I don't think Vanitas is THAT tall. :/

Stupid title is stupid.

These seven are the protagonists of yet another concept of mine, "Bright Side of the Moon"; despite their country, Chronos, being both cyberpunk(?) and home to a MegaCorp(TM), everything's going well and said Corp(TM) doesn't run everything...yet.

The heroes' goal is to take out the head of the Corp(TM), Stark, and any of his successors before the master plan can be put into action, all the while gathering enough evidence of it so that their actions won't be misconstrued as terrorism. Moving out of Chronos is out of the question, as it's a world power, and if Stark sinks his claws into it deep enough...

Green lady = Fern; she's the leader, though not the one who found out about Stark's plot. (That honour goes to the next guy.) She and her band of fellows all share the belief that humanity isn't made of Grade-A Bastard, and that the world can be changed for the better.

Red guy = Crimson, a deliberate dead ringer for RS-Proto; unlike his possible alt-reality counterpart, he's quite the optimist, possibly even more so than his teammates. When he learned about what Stark wanted to do, he immediately began devising a counter-plan.

Orange fellow = Gamboge. The only one with advanced computer know-how; in order to keep up with the others, he learned some basic self-defense.

Yellow gal = Urobilin Y. She was once a courier, though of what, she won't tell. Her job is to help get everyone past security.

Blue-ish girl = Tiffany. Almost everyone else generally sticks to one type of gun; she uses several with equal efficiency. Not too surprising, considering that her parents are retired soldiers.

Violet woman = Iris I. Guns are too expensive and require too much upkeep; her fists and legs will do just fine.

Pink person with almost-fro(?) = Rose. With her outstandingly accurate memory, she's been tasked with keeping track of all the evidence the group gathers.

Not pictured: Stark and Stark's Goons.

EXE / Re: Did sequelitis get the better of the EXE series?

And reviewers kept rating the .EXE games lower and lower despite logic dictating that if a sequel is about the same as the previous game, it should objectively receive a similar score.

Though, only specific instance if this that I can remember is IGN giving a low score to MMSF1 solely because it was similar to the last .EXE game.

Are your eyes bleeding yet?

Dad gave me one of his old notepads, and this was the first thing I drew in it: Rock's/"Nameless's" team, composed of himself, his brother, two kids, a lady wrestler, a psychic, a male Sailor Scout/Soldier, and Megaman's Tangent self.

Lady wrestler: Only name that comes to mind is "Bright Poison", a title from the Dark Age of Supernames if I ever saw one. She had enough with her company shafting her in matches and decided to give this whole "super hero" thing a try.

Psychic: Xing He, from China (is that a legitimate Chinese name?); whatever confidence she had in herself was shattered when she read her mom's mind and realized that, no, she didn't care about her. Temporarily worked with Youngblood (man, the days when I knew little about them and thought they were okay), whose members nicknamed her "Psychadela".

Male Mars: An Irishman who momentarily assumed the role of Sailor Mars when Phuong was incapacitated. Wishes that the costume would spontaneously generate pants. (He belongs to *crazylegz42, but I think that pic has been deleted, and I can't remember his actual name)

Everyone else has been introduced already.

So I was drawing Rock and Rock's Shadow in the oekaki, and just got around to shading it when Firefox crashed. Pulled the screencap into Photoshop, removed the shading (there was just a line or two), and saved it as is.

Careful, Rock; you might end up having to fight a stupid-looking boss anyway.

=O You should take up colouring in Persona style :3

Yeah, especially since emulating the other part of Mr. Soejima's style isn't that easy.

Quote
Visiting the Persona 2: Innocent Sin PSP site inspired me to make some P2IS-style PRS sprites.

Rock and Karkitay were the subjects; Rock was based on (but not edited from) Tatsuya, whilst Karkitay just used Venus's colour palette. With Rock, I had to reconstruct parts of Tatsuya (though the waistline is based on Maya's); both he and Karkitay are entirely from scratch.

Maybe editing would've been easier, but dA hates sprite editors. :/

Oh, and these are the same sprites used in my next avatar (well, non-hat Rock isn't). I'll have that uploaded in a second.
