Well, Protodude's ruled out RNR4, so all I can say is: This better be good, Capcom. And you'd better make Mr. Genius interesting.

Oh, and it's possible he only looks RNRish because the person who designed him simply had RNR in mind. He could get totally overhauled like Windman was.

In the future, prison planets will look like Roger Dean paintings, and the "cells" will be pink eggs.

Had to draw this on XP (which is slowing down horribly; I'm afraid it may be in its last legs) because I don't have Painter X on Vista. Inspired by Roger Dean's paintings, though shamefully I had to use the Airbrush tool (he barely used it; most of his paintings are airbrush-free).

I believe it was implied that she DIED OF OLD AGE.

As for "It has to be clearly stated"...Sometimes I like it when they leave things deliberately vague; it lets me fill in the gaps myself and reach my own conclusions. Yeah, it sucks when Capcom fills it in differently or we get insane theories like the Cataclysm, but hey. I'm just not that frustrated with gaps, I guess. (Brother Chucks, on the other hand...)

Best title ever. By the way, Megaman was forced to drum for a hair metal group. He didn't like it.

Fact: this was semi-inspired by a song by Seikima II/Seikimatsu called "Adam's Apple/Adamu no Ringo", which I first heard through an OVA called Wanna-Be's...in 1996. (Or '95. It's been a long time since I first watched it) I thought the song kicked ass. I found it today on YouTube, after an unsuccessful search for an MP3. All I got was poon. No joke. BLAGH.

...wait a minute...

EDIT: Kid Kirby.

This game was never released because it needed the SNES Mouse, which sold like lawn mowers in Arizona, to play well. Proof.

EDIT 2: I got flamed over the second one.

Not to sound like Hitomi, but--first of all, Capcom's track record with story isn't very good in the first place, and second, the MM and X series were always more gameplay than story (excluding CM). And like Zan said, sometimes they just can't fit everything in; not to mention, they might not notice a plot hole until after the game's been shipped.

I don't think bad writing is the issue; more like Capcom focuses more on the gameplay than the story.

I remember a fellow saying that he though Megaman had suffered fatal wounds at the end of MM2, and that scene of him walking around was Megaman seeing the world one last time. Thus, MM2 was the end of the series (my reasoning, not his), until MM3 came along where obviously Mega's back up and running. Then there's the fact that the "Thank You For Playing" message is punctuated with an ellipses.

My theory? Mega "died" after taking care of Not Alien Wily; Dr. Light located him and spent nearly seven months repairing him (fighting eight robot masters, several fort guardians, and Alien Wily without repairs over a period of weeks? Blargh--by the way, this is before robots can easily be brought back from the brink of death, in 2009). By the time Megaman recovers, it's a new year, Wily has supposedly reformed and renewed his partnership with Light, and the world has more or less gone on without him.

Good thing he's more stable than Ruby-Spears Megaman, huh?


If I ever get around to making a comic about that period between MM2 and MM3, it'd focus on Mega's reaction to his coma and how things have changed. Also, Rush is a present from Dr. Wily (TV Tropes theory, don't ask).

The Robot Masters are now "humanoids", Megaman wields the "Regular Shot", he's supposed to KILL Dr. Wily in the first game, he was one of "seven humanoids" (that's forgivable, though...I wonder how many people thought Roll was Dr. Light's biological daughter before MM3), Flashman's world is easily mistaken for Iceman's...Oh yeah, you can tell this was written in the 80s.

It's become a mental running joke that Rock, because of his feminine unarmoured looks, is mistaken for a somewhat butch woman by human males. Also crossdressing*. It's kinda Ruby-Spears's fault (how they draw his face...come on, it doesn't quite scream "masculine!" all the time) and mostly mine (backlash against the "he's supposed to be jailbait!" haters, how I draw men due to almost always drawing girls when I first started out, etc.).

So, Megaman in a vaguely revealing shirt...yeah. Bombman needs a cold shower.

Wily didn't give him a woman's shirt out of spite; that's all he had. Which begs the question of why he had it at all. Let's just hope it's Hologirl's and not his late wife's, because... *squick*

I just kinda wished we were given at least some hint as to what happens in between series(es?) I think the Elf Wars could make an excellent new series, myself. And I'm sorry, I just don't see how ZX connects to Dash.

Capcom makes it up as they go along.

Originally, Legends was an alternate universe; then came along .EXE. Capcom made a 180 turn and claimed that Legends was the distant future of Classic and X. (Or so Gauntlet tells me) What does that tell you?

Me, it tells me that WE care a lot more about the story than THEY do, Zan's MM9 example notwithstanding.

Megaman doesn't appreciate Metalman's deadpan wit.

Story: Rock's lack of sleep and depression start affecting him physically; first he shakes uncontrollably, then he collapses in public. Dr. Light isn't able to find anything wrong with his systems and suggests that it's simply psychosomatic (which Rock will have none of, as it suggests that he's as weak as the pathetic, squishy humans--had this happened a few years back, he would've taken it better).

Metalman's only got an arm behind him in case he passes out again. He also decides to mock both Rock's light structure and his profound weakness (during this time. Guy can bench-press a water buffalo when he doesn't feel like [parasitic bomb]).

Inked from one of my school sketches, so naturally one of my male friends suggests there was some Metal/Rock stuff going on behind the scenes.

Metal/Rock isn't plausible. >.>
