I'm well on my way to becoming a porno artist. 8D Except not, because...dongs are icky. Like cooches. Yeah.

ing idiot. Somewhere along the line, Void split into two characters, Lumiere and Pierre.

* The original explanation for Lumiere's weird eyes was that they were torn out and replaced. I'll just stick with them being different now.

* Pierre eventually became red, to further distinguish him from Void. Reminds me of Protoman.]Oh, Sonic Shuffle. You were so hard to find, and you ended up being so cheap. And I don't mean monetarily.

Void is one of my favourite Sonic characters, and he's sadly underutilized (then again, he's one half of Illumina...does that mean she's genderless, what with the female Lumina being the other half?).

Void and his accomplice, Pierre, were ordinary inhabitants of Maginary, the "Realm of the Gods", even after Illumina tasked them with the incredible duty of guarding the Precioustone. Nothing happened, no one dropped by to say hello, and the boys sorely missed life on the outside of the Precioustone's chamber.

Void couldn't see what was so special about the floating, rotating chunk of shiny rock. Surely, if Illumina had picked two nobodies to watch over it, it couldn't be that important, could it? Alas, his attempt to leave its chamber was met with Illumina and her black sword.

It all proved too much for Void. Once his wound healed, he sent a message to his friends outside the Precioustone's chamber; they were to capture and seal off Illumina, as punishment for what she had done to him and Pierre. It seemed impossible and sacrilegious, but Umbra--the angelic golem left in charge of the gang after Void and Pierre were taken--finally gathered the courage to go through with it anyway.

It worked. They trapped Illumina in the chamber, pinning her arms and wings to her side, and using all their might to stop her from simply breaking free from Umbra's grip, carried her away to the farthest reaches of Maginary. All that was left was her broken harp and her sword.

Before rejoining the outside world, Void shattered the Precioustone in a final act of spite. Its energy dissipated, leaving the shards unable to reform.

His gang, and many monsters coming out of their hiding places, overran Maginary. They proved too numerous for its warriors, leaving Lumina Flowlight, Illumina's right hand wench, no choice but to seek out a certain group of freedom fighters to help...

Pierre, at first, enjoyed the carnage, but before long it began to bore him. For that matter, it seemed like highly disproportionate retribution. If Sonic could end it, perhaps they'd be able to get a proper apology out of Illumina.

Void's real name was Lumiere; he, Lumina, and Pierre were all created to be guardians of the Precioustone in Illumina's absence. The problem was, only Lumina was informed of this; Illumina had little faith in the other two, as their personalities were not suited for it. They were brought to the chamber during an emergency that lasted longer than she had anticipated. After the fiasco, Lumiere and Pierre were stricken from the chamber, a nicer way of saying that their purpose had been revoked.

Lumiere didn't care. He still had his brother and his gang, and his freedom.

* Lumiere went by "Void" to make his ties to Lumina less obvious; in reality, it's because I wanted to keep calling him by what I'd been calling him, but also use his official name. It came down to that.

* Pierre wouldn't exist if I didn't screw up Lumiere. See, a long time ago, when I was still surfing the Web with parental controls, I came across a French bio for Void. It mentioned "Pierre" and "acrobat". I called him "Pierre" for a while; then I found a screencap from Sonic Shuffle's opening sequence, depicting Sonic, his friends, Lumina, and Illumina flying towards an angelic golem (that'd be Umbra; dunno about his actual name), with "Pierre" underneath it. The summaries for the game always mentioned this strange "Void", so "Void" became the golem. It wasn't until much later that I realized that no, Void was the tiny thing with seafoam green hair. I still called him by a different name, "Lumiere", because I was a [tornado fang]ing idiot. Somewhere along the line, Void split into two characters, Lumiere and Pierre.

* The original explanation for Lumiere's weird eyes was that they were torn out and replaced. I'll just stick with them being different now.

* Pierre eventually became red, to further distinguish him from Void. Reminds me of Protoman.

It's not bad, but the colours are grainy and washed-out.

And I can never collect them all (except in Sonic Heroes, but that was because of the merciful Special Stages). ;_;

Might as well post this here.

Know Your Emeralds (LARGE IMAGE ALERT!)

Quote
It started as a chart detailing the Chaos Emeralds and ended as this, because I thought it'd be hilarious to have Terion show this to Megaman and Klonoa.

* I think I like Terion only because I don't know him by such a horribly generic name (thanks for nothing, all you Marty Stu fanhogs named "Silver") and I haven't played his debut game. His design is probably the biggest draw for me.

* All of the other Emeralds were taken from Sonic games where they were shaped irregularly, with the exception of the "Ancient Emeralds" (AoStH). I only had a tiny screencap reference for the World Rings, so I'm sorry if they're off.

* The "Power Emerald" was referenced only in the US Knuckles Chaotix manual; its form is from Sonic the Fighters (it had an orange and a magenta Emerald).

* Klonoa's there because I considered crossing his game over with Sonic's back in '04-'05.

* I created the scan line effect with this tutorial.

* All the BG colours were taken from deviantART. 8D

Well... Time to ROCK OUT!

I like Narukoro's art style. :) (Poor Rush. And thank you, Wikipedia, for having articles on hiragana/kana)

It's just a back-up in case the image doesn't show.

Just a heads-up: While there's plenty of Megaman art on Side7, the site doesn't allow right-click saving OR direct linking (all you'll get is a blank pixel in both cases). This is how you post images here.

Yes, though the bosses haven't been revealed yet. I'm hoping they do so soon so I can draw them.

I'm sure PB loves it too! XD

I just know they're going to put a Seaman in MRM. It doesn't hurt to think from the perspective of a thirteen-year-old every once in a while, guys... (See: Puck-Man)

But that's not a Seaman. That's Seamond Nethuns. They just call him Seaman to [acid burst] him off. (Got the name from Puchi Carat, I know...)

I can't believe I dignified Afroman with a cameo.

Protoman and those in Light's Set 9 that sided with him decide to wait out the authorities.

The idea that Protoman would encourage the MM9 robots to rebel was suggested by Zan S., if I remember correctly. Protoman can't allow the expiration dates to be forced on more robots; he sees this as a sign of humanity's fading respect for robots. Robots who are on the same level of sentience as humans.

Those forcing the expiration dates are various companies with highly questionable ethics; before MM9 came out, I got the impression that said companies had commissioned the robots with devices in them that would kill them just before it came time for their paychecks; it's just one of the many ways they avoid paying their robotic workers. Then the game came out and apparently they were just going to be executed come expiring time. :/

No one would've bought the game if Red Ninja's protagonist was a man. >.>

That game still sucks, by the way.

In retrospect it probably should've been "Fubiki", but it's too reminiscent of "Fubuki". (I listened to Invisible Man's Deathbed last night; now Fuhiki sounds like its vocalist)

Gotta love those pirates that combine elements from different series so casually that they create a Gordian knot of a story.  8D Thanks for reposting those, Fxeni.

I enjoyed Sonic X for a while.

His name's Fuhiki (failure+sound). That's because I don't have any of the Vocaloid programs, and the Wiki says that you need one for your fanloid to be legit. :(

Also, what does everyone have against the Star Force manga? The main complaint seems to be the artwork; from what I've seen of it, it's unique and has a lot of energy. Is it because Subaru's expressions got a thousand times scarier? :/

Why hello there, back-of-the-box text from that ancient thread of mine!

...I miss those images. :(

(Bonus negative points for using renders of Yuna and Riku, but not Paine.)

Axl and Blues 128 by Sakiko.

I have a question. Does Sakiko has an off-pixiv website? I really enjoy their artwork, but I doubt anyone's gonna take the time posting all those pictures I linked to. >.>

By the way, here's something amusing.

I thought of "Shin Rockman" before hitting the "Reply" button. But Ghoston and Clock Genius's designs aren't Legend-oriented, so...

I call shenanigans until Capcom makes light of this.
