Didn't Roll died at SAR?
¿So Mega, blues, roll and company just died?
Not a really good happy ending.
Also, is it just me, or when that robot is draggign that other robot and then seems to stab him... is it just me or does it resemble Blues he's dragging?

"I'm warning you, Princess--if you or your friends makes one move, I fire."
Hence explaining why a Rocket grunt could abduct Zelda without making a deal with Ganon. I hope.

Three other characters in MPW--Toadette, who I don't think will have more than a minor role; The Executive, who masterminded Zelda's abduction; and Nuadha, who appears to beSariaa young Hylian girl. She keeps showing up to taunt Peach and co., somehow getting into places she shouldn't be.
* The Executive is from Pokemon Gold/Silver; I used her sprite's colours. (She's in Stadium 2, but I don't know whether or not her design was changed for it)
I'm guessing I'm the only one that noticed megaman's figure. He's got a perfect hourglass.

Including Marine from Rush Adventure? That's the only character I actually hate and I'm usually one of those people that rarely hate anyone.
-1 point. That plant is evil.
If they did a Sonic cartoon in the vein of what Archie is doing now, it'd be awesome.

Peach, please refrain from touching Shanoa's face.
My stab at the Super Princess Peach style (or at least the colours) turned into this. If I ever make a game that isn't Castlevania porn, it would be "Miss Peach World" (title shamelessly borrowed from that one SMB Famicom pirate that's actually a hack of Maniac Beach).
The event that sets up the plot is Princess Zelda's kidnapping at the hands of a syndicate; they plan to use her to gain political favors. This crime occurred on Mushroom Kingdom soil; Princess Peach asks Mario to stay and guard the castle while she and her quickly-assembled group chase after the syndicate.
Shortly afterward, the world suffers a halting of the flow of information--the Internet falters, TV broadcasting stations fail, printing presses break down, and even the postal service is kaput. No one can determine the cause, and nothing they can do will fix it. The only transmission Peach's group can receive is from Zelda, and only because of her powers (she doesn't know why everything's failed, either).
* The syndicate is Team Rocket, minus the Pokemon. >.>
* The font for the logo is "Pipe Dreams", by ~TRIFORCE89.

Behold, the Gothic class.
...those outfits are about as Gothic as a pack of Skittles.
Tried to avoid making them "Gothic lolita" or "emo", which mostly involved Googling "elegant goth" and borrowing a few designs from the first page. (Peach's was based on her Brawl dress)
And as long as I'm talking about classes, I might as well explain how they'd actually function in a game that I can't program:
Ninja: Boosted agility. (Kinda hard to be stealthy in day-glo colours)
Sailors: Various exclusive attacks (including one finisher).
Swimsuit: Nothing, for a class it is not.
Goth: See and interact with benign spirits. (Stereotypical, maybe, but it's got its uses)
Thanks!

Been waiting to scan this for a while now; various things intervened, such as "my laziness" and "my laziness".
This is Simon II/"Mion" and his friends; they're all based on fairy tale characters, which I doubt IGA would consider (monsters notwithstanding).
Snow White: Her parents were taken away during a war, leaving her with the Queen. Snow made a run for it when she turned thirteen and ended up with seven dudes. (Any resemblance to RoB-Maria Renard are unintentional. Except for the hairband)
Red Riding Hood: Real name Amelie. She hates werewolves with the fury of a thousand suns--a pack of them trashed her village, leaving only her and her grandmother alive. Next to Mion, she shows the most monster-hunting promise.
Florin: Shepherd who carries a horn and mostly wears blue. His parents are nobles, but they don't particularly care for Florin and sent him away to keep him out of their hair.
Mion Belmont: Son of Simon Belmont. He's not old enough to inherit the Vampire Killer, so he makes do with a leather whip. Some research into his family line led him to discover something awful... (Formally he's "Simon II", but everyone just calls him Mion)
Ella: She ran away from what was left of her family and ended up in the Belmont household (that black eye is what one of her older stepsisters left her). Ella is, more or less, Mion's adopted sister.
Also, the next person to snap at me with "Sonia Belmont is uncanon" will receive an uncharacteristically rude response. I have stopped caring about IGA's timeline because it means CV1 got remade twice and some games are nongames for arbitrary reasons.

Those same kids, now adults. Nice fuzzy collar, Mion.

Mion Belmont hoped that his latent dark power would do anything but turn him into...this thing.
Yellows are too bright. >.>

Look who found Alucard's Soul of Bat.*
This isn't so much a class change as just a transformation. Everyone was modeled after Soma-Bat (specifically his Dawn of Sorrow sprite).
* OK, they just got it from a Phantom Bat or something.

Testing out Muro. Predictably, it did not want to cooperate with me, as it was slow as hell and made the whole thing look like the animation team behind the LoZ CD-i games got ahold of it. Or the lineart, at least. Maybe you can't have more than one tab open in Firefox?
That said...I've got CV: DoS on the brain because all of my attempts to get a copy have failed so far. Hopefully, the GameStop at our other mall will still have a used copy in stock, and fate won't pull a dick move and only leave out the case (frustratingly, there'll be times when GameStop ONLY has the case and not the actual game).
Soma's AoS attire clashes with Arikado's, which comes from a DoS wallpaper.

"A" standing for "American". D'ohoho how clever
Something possessed me to draw the would-be Toonmaker versions of the Sailors, using some of *crazylegz42's art for reference. Three of the gals, she drew before finding that higher-quality video (the ones holding their tiaras); Toonmaker!Rini and Sailor Earth are original. (I did change Rini's hair colour, though, in hopes of keeping it in line with the other designs)
* I still don't know if that white cat was meant to be Artemis or Luna; an interview mentioned having both cats in the show.
* Rather than scrap Mina, Andy, and Lita, I figured that they'd eventually leave so that they could try and resume their lives on Earth, and the other three gals would step in. Phuong (Mars) just gets a haircut. :/ As for Sailor Earth, she's not officially recognized as a Sailor by Endymion.
* Many of the poses were based on a Sailor Moon SuperS group shot.
Hurf.

Adult Soul is just as good at stomping Goombas as either of her parents, but she breaks tradition by ditching the overalls. (Then again, she wore them as a kid...)

Man, is that a crappy title.
Took a stab at emulating the Persona 4 portraits, which involved lots of gradients. To the left is Rock, wearing something ridiculous (at least for him); to the right is Diaz, the "Protagonist".
Rock is more or less the same; he and his friends and family are investigating odd murders in places that recently updated their audio-visual centers/components (uh-huh.). Rock thinks that Wily might have something to do with it at first, despite the man's retirement.
Diaz is a mute robot girl; unlike many other silent protagonists, she is not a blank slate. Diaz has already met her Persona, who speaks for her; she's hesitant to recount the experience.
* Rock was supposed to be wearing a nice hat, but I couldn't draw it in a way that didn't look stupid (at that angle, at least). His scarf/shawl-thing is a reference to the Law alignment from the other Megaten games.
Why settle for retro only?
As for the grave digging, I guess it's because something that should have been fixed wasn't but still can but no one is willing to or they have no idea how. Originality, everything is a copy of something else in one form or fashion, directly or indirectly. It's in our nature to do that. You and I may think the same idea but not reveal it to each other but that does not mean one copied off the other. Some of the thing we do now can appear to be new to us just because we are not aware they have been done before.
Why limit the game like that? It's way below what the hardware can handle.
