Watch it be like MM 11 or something.

Oh PLEASE no. At least not in 8-bit form again.

It was cool when Cap did it for MM9 and 10, but doing it another time would just be plain redundant.

But Super Sonic is in stages, which is COMPLETELY inconceivable in this day and age, so I have to at least try it.

Toss in Super Tails as well, and i'm game. Seriously, i always enjoyed watching those flickies attacking enemies in my path.

Fond, fond memories... 8D

Entertainment / The Legend of Korra CONFIRMED!!
« on: July 21, 2010, 09:45:45 PM »

Quote from: IGN
Nickelodeon has just greenlit a new animated series from Avatar: the Last Airbender  creators Michael DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko. According to the network's president, Brown Johnson, the series-- currently titled The Legend of Korra-- will be expanding the mythology of the Avatar franchise, setting it roughly 70 years after the original show's events with a whole new cast of characters.

"Mike and Bryan have imagined a compelling new story inspired by the Airbender mythology that they so brilliantly crafted when the TV series began," Johnson said. "This new avatar is not only a girl, but also hot-headed, independent and ready to take on the world."

The Legend of Korra follows the adventures of a "passionate, rebellious and fearless" teenager from the Southern Water Tribe, a girl named Korra. Having already mastered three of the four elements (Earth, Water, and Fire), she seeks to master the final element of Air. Her travels eventually lead her to the metropolis of Republic City, an epicenter for the modern Avatar world. Although a thriving society of benders and non-benders alike, Republic City is also ridden with crime, including an anti-bending rebellion that is gaining momentum. Under the guidance of Aang's son, Tenzin, Korra begins her airbending training as she confronts the dangers ahead of her.

The Legend of Korra will be produced at Nickelodeon Animation Studios and is expected to begin airing sometime in 2011.

Oooooh boy, i can't [tornado fang]ing wait!

First and foremost, new title for thread since we shall now be discussing the finest animated show you all should have seen already as well as discuss any news on the continued developments of this series.

Now, I could play the whole elaborate and eloquently written post routine to try and convince RPM that a series run through would be in your best interests... However I like reactions more, so I'm gonna just leave some choice gifs up for you to gander at and make a decision upon. Ready?

You can definitely find more here if you wish to pick some things out for yourself.

Now the main reason for this post, besides being a more showoff way of getting some folks here interested in what's happening without spoiling plot points, is to also mention that the rumblings on a successor series to Avatar: The Last Airbender, namely "Avatar: The Legend of Korra" have been slowly but surely gaining some steam with the recent bit of new spotlight the series has been gaining. It all sounds amazing thus far, and as these things get more and more buzz, I'll try and keep them here in this thread.

So now that I'm gonna try and get you all to try something different, I hearby mandate this thread the main place for all things bending. Get hy--

... i love you for making this post. i would record almost every episode when i got the chance to. XD

Seriously though, i never heard of that "Legend of Korra" rumor until now. Here's to hoping it's real.

Nothing wrong with a Robot Chicken trailer, but I can't wait to see some real gameplay.

glad i'm not the only one with that thought.

Kate Higgins is a fairly good voice actress (sucked as Sakura though), and i'm not sure if i could get used to Sonic's.

Either way, i'm completely lost as to why they would change the cast in the first place.

Off The Wall / Re: Sweet Fizzy Goodness (AKA Soda): What do you like?
« on: July 14, 2010, 07:12:35 PM »
I like any type of soda, as long as it's not a cheap name-brand ripoff. Like one soda i drank called, Flite (instead of Sprite and even had a similar logo). Tasted bland and awful.

As of now, i'm HOOKED on Mountain Dew.

Something I loved. DiMaggio didn't try to be Hamill. He did his own thing.

For some reason, i felt his voice as the Joker had much more realism than Hamill's. It had a somewhat darker and malevolent tone. The way he perceived the character made him feel more threatening.
