So, just so I'm clear on this regarding what you & Flame have said, the only thing that separates Sonic 4 from being a "Rush" type game is the boosting?

In my opinion, i definitely believe so.

When you think about it, Sonic Colors for the DS is more or less like "Sonic Rush 3". Not just because it uses the same graphics engine, but because it uses the same qualities like, again, boosting and even the level design (dunno if DS Colors incorporates tricks). Even with the added abilities involving the wisps, the quality is still there. And i'm pretty certain that every Rush title would have to have Blaze playable, though i could be wrong about that. I mean, wasn't that one of the reasons why the Rush series was created for in the first place?

Also, am I the only person alive who thought the minecart level actually looked interesting?

It had an interesting concept, yes. But either the person in the video just sucked that much at correctly moving the cart or the level needed a bunch of tweaking/better physics. If it's the latter, then i think the level would have been really enjoyable if they fixed it and decided to stick with it.

Also, i haven't been that up to date with the recent Sonic 4 vids, so i don't know how much they have actually improved on the physics.

I'm more curious as to what that stage is.

But yeah, it's possibly a racing mode. I see a time counter on the top and that blue bar seems to be a check point.

Listening to the music in that video somehow gives me a warm, nostalgic feeling. Almost as if it were a remix of a classic Sonic game theme. And the gameplay of course, looks really impressive. This just made my anticipation for the game boost up a notch.

Too bad the OVA sucked.

You do know that this takes place 10 years before the original game, right? Therefore, Xehanort in his incarnation from KH2 doesn't even exist yet.

It's a secret boss, not a storyline boss. They're optional and don't contribute anything to the actual game storywise.

It could be a hint at a later game, like Lingering Sentiment.

Still trying to wrap my mind around who that Organization XIII cloak guy is in that trailer. Either it's some form of Terranort or a new character all together? Eh, perhaps it'll be revealed in KH3D.

lol at trying to make sense of the KH storyline. :P

In all honesty, this game seems to be shaping up a lot better than Sonic 4. And given all these abilities, i wouldn't expect them to have Super Sonic in-levels. (or rather, they're almost like having a Super transformation)

BUT I STILL WANNA SEE SOME UNLOCKABLE TAILS

The voices (mainly Terra and Aqua), sound a bit better than last time IMO. MX still sounds horrendous.

Oh, and Master Eraqus sounds awesome. But i'm not too sure about DiZ's "new" voice.

I remember Mononoke. Well, about 5 seconds of it. I need to rewatch it. Last time I saw it was on "Month of Miyazaki" on Toonami, hence, a very very long time ago.

I think you mean Princess Mononoke; that movie was made by Miyazaki. Mononoke is something entirely different.

Just finished watching Mononoke. Truly exceptional masterpiece, and should be watched by anyone interested in hardcore Japanese mythology or horror/psychological genre.

Not to mention the main character, "The Medicine Seller", is very well scripted and particularly mysterious.

10/10

Part of that trailer was actually based on
this episode.

Really loving the look of this game, but i'm still a little unsure about the gameplay itself.

I think you misinterpreted his post. He was explaining why he's for Link being silent, but he thinks the NPCs should remain silent as well to keep the illusion going stronger.

Hmm... i guess you're right (this is what happens when you post right after recovering from a flu). Well, looks like my entire post went to [parasitic bomb] now in terms of the argument, huh? 8D

Either way, my opinion still stands.

Look at Twilight Princess, he's the friendly village go-to guy, and big brother to all the kids.  A character like that ceases to be believable if everyone's talking to him and he never says a word in return.

sucks for you, then.

a silent hero is an uninvolved hero.

I disagree.

Having him not speak is one of the things that makes him a unique character in my book. We already know that he is an established hero/warrior, and it's really up to the player to decide how exactly he relates to the situations that follow throughout the game; whether it's trying to rescue the princess or pressing onward to defeat Ganondorf. To me it's almost like having a created character, and (as cheesy as it may sound) going through the game somewhat through your own eyes. It also creates a slate for people to speculate on what type of personality Link has. And even then, Nintendo has had Link demonstrate a variety of facial expressions (like the feeling of "shock", pain, joy or nervousness).

Link is already given courage and bravery, and that should be enough.

How big are those?

The History of Zelda poster is 16.5" x 28.7", and the two promotional posters are 22" x 28".

My 3-set Legend of Zelda posters arrived today. The material feels high quality and looks very clean. Really loving that "History of Zelda" poster (LoZ games from 1987-2007).

Hmm, maybe i should frame them.

That was awesome. I love how they mixed the CG scenes with the final battle gameplay/movie thing

Agreed. That was a really nice touch.

Am i the only one who thinks Samus' voice fits perfectly? I was skeptical before about having her speak in this game period.

Ironically, the sections that Shirokawa seemed to enjoy the most were cut out of the US version: mahjong, the sexual massage parlor, and the hostess clubs. After I explain to him what Sega cut from the US version, he said: アメリカ版を買った奴がかわいそうだ。セガUSAが最低だね.(Translation: I feel sorry for the people who bought the American version. SEGA USA sucks.)
