They will likely end up remixing some of the AA series' tracks, like the "Objection" or "Cornered" pieces that changed in each game. It would be cool if Ben Judd (english voice of Phoenix) could record some new voice samples for this.

Loving every bit of footage we get, but i can't get too excited. Just because it's not DEEN doesn't mean it's not prone to failure.

I was disappointed when I saw it was fake, but after continuing the video, I found it hard to not fall in love. XD

And if someone like Wright can make it in, Franziska would be an obvious choice given she has an actual weapon. Imagine the sweet, stylish whip combos!

It's a shame. I actually liked the dark atmosphere that CD had (and Eggman's damn creepy Game Over laugh). And that in itself, is memorable. But the enemies and bouncers were so oddly placed. Literally running into them all time was frustrating. I'd say SEGA improved themselves from then in that regard.

Triple Trouble actually had very interesting concepts that could be brought back. The levels were shorter than Sonic 2 and 3 by comparison, but using item boxes that contained different abilities like speed boards and "pogo-stick" bouncers were fun to use coupled with simple, solid platforming. For whatever reason, i never went back to that game nor have I played it much, but i wish i did. What it did lack in, however, was sufficient speed. Most likely due to system limitations.

I just feel that despite CD being a cult classic, it really is overrated. The ability to travel through past, present and future was cool. Altering things that made a difference. But the layout was indefinitely cluttered. Triple Trouble should be getting more praise than it has, but it's been left to rot in the dust.

I loved The Day of Σ. So it would be awesome to have a full-fledged Mega Man X anime series.

I wouldn't count on it actually happening though. And it probably wouldn't be that high-production unless it's another OVA.

Actually, the video has a translation that hints at some big plot twist.

to quote: "Shinji Ikari awakens; beside stands a mysterious boy; then, a new world awaits him."

They're probably referring to Kaworu.

I see Asuka is looking like a badass again. Nice.

Showed virtually nothing, but i'm really hyped nonetheless. If only the TV series shared the same quality as the movies.

The special stage was about the only thing worthwhile in Sonic CD. I replayed the game not too long ago, and i never realized how dreadful the stage layout was. You couldn't even run for 10 seconds without there being a badnik or obstacle in your way. It's amazing how you were still able to build enough speed to time travel, usually you had to maneuver your way around the stage. It got annoying, quick. I don't quite remember how the bosses were, but CD had one of the worst thought-out stages in Sonic history.

I'd seriously consider deducting off points from this anime if she doesn't make it in. I mean, they put her in a Melty Blood game to boot, so she fits right in.

Saw both the first and second episodes. Didn't expect to laugh as hard as i did. I felt that the manga was only alright, but this is absolute genius. I [tornado fang]ing love the use of the "Magic Circuit" meter when Ciel was trying to save the ball. There hasn't been that big of a flood of great anime this season, but this might be the best.

Only disappointment: No Ryougi

Hope the Console version (it better be there) is as awesome sounding.

Incredible remix. Sad thing is, the music might be the best part about the 3DS version. I'd be willing to buy it if the gameplay is decent at the very least.

Yep, i'm eligible. I already knew beforehand, but it's nice to get that sense of closure. Just wish Nintendo would have released both GBA and NES games at the same time.

I dunno, that list looks a little too good to be true. Especially if that's for launch.

A lot of these haven't had Vita version announcements yet. I mean, I guess it would be easy to port them over if the Vita truly is as powerful as a PS3. But could this just be a list of releases on Sony platforms?

According to Sony, the Vita is supposed to be "half the power of a PS3" or something along those lines. So we won't be seeing something on the level of Battlefield 3 or Uncharted 2/3.

I'd much rather watch IGN's video game reviews than X-play's. That says something.

Well yeah, specifics, specifics. Just stating generally, to which she's best known for her role in Tsukihime.

Can't think of anything new to use as my avatar, so i'm using an old one. Aoko Aozaki from Tsukihime.

I'll be getting this game for 3DS, for sure, but I really wish we could see Tails playable, instead of the freaking cheerleader that he's been since Rush.

I'm really iffy about the 3DS version. So far, all the videos i've seen were glitchy and it looked as if some of the animations were cut off. I saw some gameplay for Mushroom Hill, and the player would "slide" sometimes when he ran up the loop. The physics didn't look too bad, however.

As for Tails, well, i liked how he seemed to have a more independent attitude in Colors. Usually he's a lot more dependent on Sonic whenever something goes wrong. It would be really cool to play as him again, along with Knux. Gliding with him was very useful in S3&K, i hope they bring that back at some point (extremely wishful thinking).

Who knows, maybe the whole procedure unlocks some hidden power or something like that. Also, I think they'll need it if they ever want to get Ven's comatose body out of Castle Oblivion.

Yeah, that's possible. Aqua was only able to create Castle Oblivion because Eraqus taught her the technique due to becoming a Keyblade Master. Thus Ven and Terra were unable to do so. Sora and/or Riku will likely be forced to learn that technique as well, since that might be the staple power of becoming Master. Other than that new ability, i'm not sure if "Master" bears any significance besides the ranking.

On a side note, i thought of something interesting: If Sora or Riku do indeed learn the technique, what's to say either of them won't preform the same move Aqua did? Create a completely brand new area/location to explore. That could be a really awesome start-up for KH3. Just some food for thought.

Anime & Manga / Re: Favorite Anime Composers
« on: August 18, 2011, 01:03:16 AM »
Oh man, there's a ton of anime composers i love. I'll name a couple that instantly come to mind.

Tenmon - Really brings out anime like 5 Centimeters per Second to life. You can't help but feel sorrowful, hopeful or (dare i say) tearful when these pieces appear during the movie. Maybe one of the reasons i love his work is because i'm a sucker for classical music. Makoto Shinkai (director of 5 Centi per Sec) really needed Tenmon's talent to draw out the energy and emotion from this movie. Not that the movie wasn't good on it's own.

L'Arc~en~Ciel - My god, i love this group. First heard their music in Fullmetal Alchemist (READY, STEADY, GO!) and it was [tornado fang]ing awesome. Their opening theme for Gundam 00 was phenomenal as well. Something about their fusion of pop and rock just works so well, and is always catchy and exciting. I definitely need to hear more of their music.

Yuki Kajiura - I simply enjoy her mix of synth/pop with orchestral sounds. Also the singing, dat fukken singing.

This. Her composition for the Kara no Kyoukai movies are stunning. Her style is not something you often hear in other anime. Knk is the only anime series i've heard her work from, but i know that she is really talented and creative with her orchestras.

Also, kickass, was that Eggman's Sonic 2 mech?

I believe it was. At first, i thought it was a redesigned Eggrobo.
