Can't say it's that much different from what it actually looks like. :P

A really crappy phone pic of my newest acquisitions.  They're not figures, but I guess they could be considered models... even though they're sealed under glass.

I intend to get better pics soon.

Those are really cool. I like things like these.

It's exclusive to Europe and Australia, though. A really dumb move if you ask me.

Monster Hunter Tri-G interview and some scans.

Quote
- 3DS exclusive Enhanced Port of Tri for Wii

- Due out before the end of the year in Japan, 3G will be fully playable at the Tokyo Game Show in a couple weeks

- "the new portside area we've made for the game was created with an eye for 3D visuals -- giving it more depth, placing objects on top of each other, and other concepts to make the 3D more prevalent."

- "The bottom screen will have a panel with assorted useful functions for hunting; you'll be able to tap on things to use it"

- There is also, of course, the slide-pad attachment, which Tsujimoto called a "secret weapon" crafted so players could play 3G with the same control feel as the original Tri.

- As for weapons; "There will be 12 types," Fujioka said, "filling out the set of genres we've introduced up to this point. All of the weapons will be operable in the underwater areas, too.

- 3G's marquee monster is Blakydios, a Brute Wyvern-type -- member of the ponderous land-dragon race that first made its debut in Tri.

If rumors about the Tri G online capabilities prove true: SOLD. And that second analog should be great for games like Kid Icarus, seeing as how some people complained about using the touch screen for camera.

But that design... ugh. What is this? The 90s?

Considering how little you tried to use her, I can't help but wonder if you got her good spells like Triple Firaga.

I mean if you did and you still don't like using her that's cool, but it does make a difference.

I don't remember if I got that, but I simply wasn't that fond of using her. She's not bad, but I preferred the others more.

<3 :cookie:

Oh please, you only think she's the best because of her looks and big boobs.

Really? I always found Terra to be worst of the three and Aqua the best; she's the only one I've beat the game on a Level 1 Critical run so far.

To each their own. There are a lot of people who agree with you, but I never got used to her move set. I found Ven to be the most efficient to use. Not as powerful as Terra, but quicker and more agile.

Aqua felt the weakest to me.

Rumors, rumors and more rumors. These will be apparently brought to light at Nintendo's September 13th 3DS Press Conference.

It's weird, I still haven't been able to beat "Mysterious Figure" or Vanitas Sentiment, but I've lasted significantly longer on MF.

Vanitas kills me in one hit every time and MF seemingly "takes his time" killing you, with each lightning-fast attack of his taking chunks outta your health bar. Then I heal myself, dodge roll around a little bit, and he catches me while doing the same attacks. Both are impossible for me at this point, and I don't have the will or patience to try again. Must have tried at least 70 times fighting MF, barely getting him down to half-life.

Come to think of it, I never finished that. Sorta lost interested during Terra's story when I realized how moronic he is.
Does it get better later?

Definitely. Like I said in the KH thread, the ending of Terra's story IMO, is the best part about the game. It was really well done.

Cartwheeling became mandatory when he used his shadow to come up from the ground to grab you (or whatever it did, never once got caught by it). I actually found both phases of that battle to be boring. They could have made the entire thing a cutscene and it would've been fine.

That and I personally thought Aqua had the worst attack layout out of the three. I only got her to around level 40 by the end.

Don't worry, I had trouble too. I just ended up having to dodge roll like mad.

Dodge Roll along with doing that counter attack where Terra slams his keyblade on the ground. And if you're quick enough, you could fit in at least one Shot Lock command. Rinse and repeat. Worked wonders for me. In fact, many of the tough battles in the game relied heavily on countering.

Why the hell is RPM filled with nothing but RP? There needs to be some major Rockman announcements, pronto. Like that burst of life everyone had with the Legends 3 cancellation.

Uncharted 2 is a three year-old game now, yet it still has a ton of replay value. The multiplayer is excellent.

By far one of the best anime openings I've seen, and one of the very rare times where it sounds better than the Japanese dub. I've only seen a few episodes back when Toonami still aired, but I might start fresh. The problem is... there's 112 episodes.

To me, the gameplay looks akin to Dynasty Warriors, meaning hoards of enemies standing around waiting for you to hack 'n slash them away. I will praise the graphics, however.

The DBZ Bardock Movie will always be one of the most memorable landmarks in the series. Most DBZ movies were mediocre, save for Legendary SSJ, History of Trunks and Wrath of the Dragon.

As for this, can't say i'm that excited to read it. The "What-if" stories don't serve much purpose besides humor (at least in the DBZ games) or bad plot points.

God, i haven't even played Metroid for 10 minutes before it started to lag. Not game breaking, but there was a good deal of buffer. How do you screw up emulation like that?

And i was actually planning on trying out this anime soon. Don't know if i should support a person who thinks genocide is justified.

Anime & Manga / Re: What Anime are you Currently Watching?
« on: August 29, 2011, 01:37:42 AM »
As of now, i'm sorta just skipping around different shows. I've mainly been watching Hanasaku Iroha, which isn't too bad. It's not original by any means, but it's fairly well constructed in story and character development. Some of the "surprise" plot points can be spotted a mile away and sometimes drags on for too long. I do enjoy watching it in general nonetheless.
