One is a guy, the other is half of that guy, which makes it a completely different guy in its own way. And we ARE talking about a game in which characters are divided into two halves as a routine.

How it's supposed to be is Ven and Vanitas. Period. There's no Ven and "half of Ven", because that half is already Vanitas himself. And you already listed Vanitas, so that "half of Ven" is covered and accounted for. Anything further will just cause a paradox. :P

So in actuality, there should only be 10 clones on your list.

Why not have it charge the 3DS? It could have plugged into the charging port and had its own battery. It could even use the same type of battery the 3DS currently uses. This would have extended the 3DS's battery life and made the product more appealing,

It might have been too expensive if it used a separate Lithium Ion battery. Using a AAA battery for its source is no doubt a more cost efficient way to sell on the market.

L is on the 3DS, R is on the add-on. And ZL and ZR are on the add-on as secondary triggers.
R on the 3DS is left available for some reason. Maybe  for the Charging port.

As I said before, that was simply speculation. Now that I actually see it reads ZL and ZR, yes, It would indicate that they are secondary.

The pre-rendered backgrounds look gorgeous in this game, mixed with solid 3D models.

(sigh) Add it to the list with all those other 3DS games not coming stateside.

Quote from: KH insider
We have part of the name of the dog-like pet, too! Seemingly he is (partially) named Ndanyan, and the bat accompanying Riku starts with "Kou"! We'll get the (full) translated names to you when we have them!

Quote
KINGDOM HEARTS 3D: Dream Drop Distance Releasing Spring 2012 in Japan

The trailer begins with Yen Sid’s voice explaining the circumstances of the adventure taking place this time around. It seems Riku and Sora will be contending to finally become Keyblade Masters. It takes place in “the world submerged in sleep”, but the details are still unknown. Also, the enemies are called Dream Eaters, goblins who consume sleep.

Once again, Sora descends into Traverse Town, calling in search for Riku, when he hears the voice of a new character say, “The Noise are horrible…” The guest character appearing is Neku, the headphones toting main character from “It’s a Wonderful World” (The World Ends With You). It seems Neku is caught in the Reaper’s Game, where if you cannot complete the mission given by the Reapers, your existence will be eliminated. But he doesn’t have a partner; it seems Sora may be lending him a hand?

Then suddenly the round form of an adorable creature appears. That creature is shown rolling about on the flat top side of a hand using the camera function. Just like a puppy, you can see it’s belly. Seems you can pet it using the touch pad, it looks so cute when it’s eyes light up! It seems Sora befriends it, riding upon it during battle and hopping around upon it. Also, it’s so speedy it’s hard to tell what’s happening, but since the original concept of the title is “bold action”, it seems that the battles are more refreshing than anything in the series so far!

There is also a surprise in the final scene. There is a cutscene from Xehanort’s point of view, the camera faces Braig who says, “Has your memory returned?” Maybe this will be one of the memories explained in this title.

A ton more images and delicious information on the site!

@ xnam - Um, what? It's exactly as I said.

Just imagine that the 3DS L & R shoulder buttons aren't there. What becomes functional are the L and R triggers on the peripheral. The smaller shoulder button above the right trigger is likely a new R2 button (I apologize for saying R3 last time, maybe I caused confusion) used for games like MH Tri G.

The 3DS shoulder buttons lose function, in replace for the peripheral.

I'm posting on my 3DS. um, woot

Those 2 in the back will probably "overwrite" the standard 3DS L and R shoulder buttons, as it looks like a pain to reach with this thing attached. And I'd guess that smaller shoulder button is R3. Like a GC controller.

But this is just speculation for now, until we get proper info.

It looks dull as dirt. But if it's appropriately responsive and comfortable, that's all I need from it right now.

Hubba hubba! With a side of fries, please!

I honestly think they should have went with regular 2D art sprites. The models sort of take away the spirit and charm of both their series. These 3D models in particular look very low-quality actually, considering what the system is capable of. But story is what really matters for a genre like this, so it's satisfactory at the very least.

Wondering how long'll it will take before anyone realizes we'll get obviously diddly squat from nintendo in the anime front.. and it will take at least three years to get a trailer for it to surface in the winter lineup.

I'm sure someone with a Japanese 3DS will upload it on YouTube. Plus, Vixy has one.

The level looks cool, but the sky looks [tornado fang]ing boring. Ironic, really.

Nonetheless, I like the remix and level design. Still need more footage of it.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal
Finished episode 14...
You know, for a series which seems to be clearly more geared towards kids, this has a lot of NOT kid friendly stuff.
Like Kaito's little brother.
I like it.
Animation is good too.

Never heard of it. If it's anything like GX, I'm out.

Taking cover does not make a game "less hardcore". It can very well be as fun as the next game. Take the Uncharted series for example. Naughty Dog really knows how to mix motion-capture and live dialog along with seamless transitions from cutscene to gameplay without any problems. The incredibly realistic environments, which can even further be demonstrated in 2, use climbing and platforming mechanics mixed with cover-shooting action that immerses the player into the game.

Obviously, it's not an entirely realistic game, what with Drake climbing pillars and hinges through a [chameleon sting]ing -200 degree blizzard. But the point I'm trying to make is, taking cover adds a great sense of realism to a game. I use Uncharted as an example because it's the most true-to-realism shooter I know. I don't think a normal human being would run out in the middle of gunfire without getting capped a several dozen times. This is the realism Uncharted portrays. Taking cover, seeing where your enemies are, and planning who you are going to attack first. The latter becoming much more beneficial when you choose the "Crushing" difficulty setting. I can guarantee you right now, you will not make it out alive in the first Uncharted, if you just shoot whoever you want to shoot. The enemies are much more strategic and some even run right at you guns blazing, so you really have to know where and when to take action.

Believe it or not, there's (gasp!) strategy in taking cover, aiming properly and taking out first who would cause the most problems for you. I'll admit, It doesn't apply much to "Normal" mode, but when the difficulty spikes, It gets barbaric. The only problem I would say I had with the Uncharted games is that they're incredibly linear, but it fits appropriately with the platforming elements. There are a ton of more difficult cover-shooters than Uncharted, but the story, motion-capture and physical struggles that your character goes through make taking cover from open gunfire the only realistic option in this circumstance.

KH confirmed for Donald and Goofy party, just like old times.

It's hard to tell, but his new outfit looks akin to Valor Form. And is that Traverse Town or a new world? Looks like it could be that Notre Dame world.

You're right, I don't know much about this series. All I asked was a simple question, no one asked for your personal opinion.

You don't like "peek-a-boo" shooters? Fine. There's no harm in speculating one's ideas.

NO. Space Marines are walking cover. They are the biggest badasses in the universe. Just take natural cover in stuff that isn't chest-high walls and learn how to dodge.

...and there's no health restoration. Just shield reload. You want health restoration? You have to perform executions on enemies, make them badass.

The game is all about having big balls.

I didn't know taking cover was cowardly. Nothing wrong with a little Guerrilla Warfare strategies.

And health restoration is... health restoration. They're not that badass, British accents aside. 8D

Knowing Spoony, he'd be terrified. I wonder, who's the one responsible for the art style?

I believe this style was first used in some online Kingdom Hearts Avatar Mobile game in Japan. That's likely why it was used in ReCoded as well (within the game, there is a mini-game where you can customize your avatar).
