Completed Trigun.

Pretty entertaining watch, although the beginning is boring, It gets interesting later on when you find out the source of Vash's ideals. The characters as a whole don't really leave an impression on me, I found Vash to be the only person to stick out in the entire series. Wolfwood was okay, and Knives was decent. The problem is they focused on Vash's personality and past too often, not leaving room for other characters to develop (Wolfwood was the only other person to change and question his choice of killing). For an anime created in the 90s, the quality is definitely passable and the unique "wild" western feel is appreciated. Overall, I gave the series a solid 8/10.

Along with that, I also completed Trigun: Badlands Rumble. The best thing going for it being the stunningly beautiful animation and detail. As expected from a modern Madhouse production (released 2010). An okay movie, but not nearly as enjoyable as the series. Sure, they captured Vash's personality to act like an idiot and flirt with beautiful women to no end, but the plot and characters undeniably felt boring and sloppy.

I will praise the staff for improving on the western-type atmosphere of Gunsmoke planet. The variety of people in the bars and in the streets have unique traits and quirks to them, which the original series lacked in. Not to mention Vash has a brand new outfit, although it technically makes no sense since this takes place during the series (unless this is an alternate version of the story). I gave it a 7/10. Loved that they maintained the charm from the series, but the terrible filler plot leaves much to be desired. I would've liked them to continue from where the series left off.

Now that those are out of the way, I've started Full Metal Panic, which is shitty so far...

Aha! I knew there was a prototype somewhere. They screened this first probably before releasing the main anime with changes (such as female saber.. but with Blue, Red, Dark, and now Guy, that makes four Sabers).

Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception

Definitely seems to be a worthy sequel so far, but there's one minor thing that's really irking me. Every now and then I'll reach what seems to be a stealth segment, with Nate even muttering "Better do this quietly". But, despite that implication it seems getting spotted and having a large fight with enemies spawning everywhere is the only option. The one time I did manage to take out everyone quietly, the game refused to trigger the next cutscene, with my AI partner just sitting there doing nothing. Like, I know stealth wasn't a key point of the gameplay but, I feel.. I dunno, mislead. Maybe it's just my slight perfectionist instinct having just played through the Thief series.

I personally enjoyed Uncharted 2 far more, in terms of story and gun mechanics. I will admit that the added counter-combo system in 3 is a refreshing change, and much needed too. But the story sort of felt like they took an idea and just ran with it, not to mention the ending felt a bit anti-climatic. Uncharted 2's plot was much more fleshed out and presentable, and the gun mechanics felt more precise.

One thing in Uncharted 3 that stood out for me, however, is the superb online gameplay. Useful Kickbacks, booster options, amazingly detailed maps and other great mutliplayer content made the $60 worth it for me. Don't get me wrong though, I didn't feel Uncharted 3 was bad, but rather the single player campaign didn't live up to the expectations of the masterpiece that was Uncharted 2.

Also played through Sonic CD on PSN today

The best thing it's got going for it is the music, really. The time travel gimmick is cool and all, but leaves the levels a nauseating clusterfuck [...] It's okay overall I s'pose, but now I'm definitely of the opinion that it's overrated.

That's what I've been saying since forever.

The level design was almost as if they slapped it together quickly, and trying to Time Travel is inconvenient at times due to hills and various platforms in your way. On the flip side, the music is by far some of the best in the franchise, and I like the general dark atmosphere. Overall, Sonic CD is overated. It had a terrific concept, but was simply executed poorly.

I believe transferring games from one system from another erases the saves, but don't quote me on that. I tried transferring a DSiWare title from my DSi to the 3DS and my entire progress was lost. Anyway, it's up to you. I personally wouldn't trade off my blue 3DS for anything. When a redesign comes around, I'll buy that as a secondary version.

3-Star cups don't seem nearly as tough as they were in MKWii, as its only related to how many points you get in the end, that being said, getting to the end in first place can be tougher in the 150cc.

I mostly ranked 2-stars in the 150cc cups, despite placing 1st at the end of all the tracks. I've tried the same cups 5 times over with the same 2-star results, not really sure why I don't earn 3. In both 50cc and 100cc cups, I had no problems ranking 3-stars.

Ah, gotcha. I guess Cephi's RPM community should suffice then, though I haven't joined it yet, maybe we should have tournaments of some kind if there's enough people.

Added the community in, hell, I didn't even go online for a game and already my MiiPlaza has like 30 extra Mii's that do nothing.

All you have to do is turn the Mii Invites off from the Plaza settings.

Went to Best Buy earlier today, and I managed to snag the LAST copy of MK7 available. Sooo [tornado fang]ing lucky, must be because of people grabbing their copies before Christmas swings around.

Playing Mario Kart 7.

Fantastic visuals and fluid racing. This just might be my 3DS favorite. I'll hop online once I complete more circuits.

Man, I have to get high with Nomura one of these days.

Confusion aside, the gameplay looks terrific, especially the flying/diving segments. This seems to be more entertaining than BBS, battle system-wise.

I've found another issue that seems to be a bit polarizing too: Coke vs. Pepsi.

No matter what people say, for the life of me, I cannot find a difference in taste between them at all.

Official website updated. Complete with a new 'Dearly Beloved' remix.

Quote from: KH insider
  • More props to aibo_ac7 with a confirmation that that Axel, young Terranort (with his face hidden under a familiar black hood), Vanitas, Joshua and Shiki are seen in the trailer!
  • Xion, Roxas and Rhyme's appearances have been confirmed!

  • Tron Legacy is in KH3D, Maleficent and Pete have returned and Axel now goes by Lea.

  • Thanks to sqexgal, we now know that when the Drop Gauge reaches 0, the character and Dream Eaters must sleep. Also, the Reality Shift ability in the Musketeers world is called "Wonder Comic". The characters appear at random and you can do a powerful finishing attack with the three musketeers.

  • Also according to sqexgal, Axel/Lea appears near a castle, a younger form of Xemnas is shown attacking Sora, and Sora appears in the Three Musketeer world in the demo with Mickey not recognizing Sora, but with knowledge of Keyblades and other worlds.

^ with more and more info coming in as Jump Festa progresses.

I see nothing wrong with using Mouseketeers. Not terribly exciting, but seeing the three in capes n' uniform looks cool. I want the really impressive worlds like Toy Story saved for KH3 (or maybe even a Ghibli world; I'm looking at you, Spirited Away <3)

I swear, they will never reveal anything that actually makes me interested in this game.

We've only seen like 5% of the game so far. And even then, [chameleon sting]ing NEKU is in here. Not sure if serious.

Here, have some Beat and Joshua.

Nice, Beat looks cool. But Joshua.... just screams bishounen. Especially now that he's in 3D.
