Wow, you were right on the money with the facial expression thing. I'm inclined to believe that this is a running gag between NoJ and NoA.

Since I didn't finish the original series (I gave up a bit more than half-way), and I can't even remember what the [tornado fang] happened exactly in those episodes, should I actually bother with these new movies?

I'm willing to pick those movies up, also because I want to see if I can actually enjoy Evangelion or not. Because honestly after those few years, my hate for it has died down.

ABSOLUTELY.

The movies improved so much from the dog [parasitic bomb] that was NGE. 1.11 and 2.22 were phenomenal "make overs" of the series, and altered certain events. As RMZX said, they are very fluid and beautiful. Actually, I can't really think of an anime on the top of my head that is superior from a visual standpoint (barring Kara no Kyoukai). Shinji isn't as annoying either, in my opinion.

Here is a quick example of one of the fantastic action sequences:

And a word of warning, do not watch the related videos on the page, it mostly consists of HEAVY spoilers. It's best to experience the rest of the fighting scenes when you go through the movies naturally.

Cool. The Uncharted series always had fantastic level architecture and movie-like cinematics. ND's new game "Last of Us" looks interesting, even if it does overly cliche.

Needless to say, this project has me heavily intrigued. I mean, Retro and ND? What's not to love?

lol at people complaining about the logo. It's fine, even if it is the worst one so far.

If anything, I just wish they would have chosen different colors.

you people are still going on about this legends crap?

Alright, as much as this statement was obnoxious, he has a point. But I only say this because this is CAPCOM we're talking about. We've went through shitloads of threads and argument topics about Capcom's performance as a company, and It's become overwhelmingly clear that they just don't give a [tornado fang] about MegaMan.

I mean, I'm all in for fan support and signing petitions/100,000 strong -- that was a terrific way to show a company that, "Hey! We really enjoy this franchise, please reconsider". A company. A gaming industry whose purpose should be to make their consumers want and love their product; and above all else, SATISFY their FANS/FOLLOWERS. Capcom is no such thing.

They're a shell of their former self, and we all know it. I will be shocked, in awe and crying all at the same time if they decide to pick up where they left off. Or a HD collection, which really, would be like further trolling anyway. But they won't, as much as we may hate to admit it. We're fans, we want to keep that dream alive. But that won't happen with Capcom at the handle.

---

What we should be discussing is: What company should take license of the MegaMan franchise? How would that shape the Blue Bomber's legacy?

His future is not looking good. Not with Bad Uncle Capcom on his shoulder.

That's because She's Type-Moon's poster gal... Though one of the Shikis would make a nice figure.

They've made plenty of those.

What, you mean the word [Top Spin]? I'm not sure saying [Top Spin] is widely offensive, even is something is faggoty. It's just used to show you think someone is behaving like a [Top Spin] or behaviorally questionable. Better to be safe than sorry though.

Wait a sec... did I just say it?

From what I heard, the Vita isn't all that good but time will tell if it isn't....

The Vita just came out in Japan not too long ago. Give it some time to adjust, and wait for the better games to come out. Although, Uncharted Golden Abyss is already a launch title, which I think is magnificent enough to buy day 1.

I'll try to make it for both Tuesday and Wednesday.

As for the daily events, maybe the weekend and/or Friday at around 8 - 12 P.M.? A cat Tues and Wed is fine too.

So, like, does anyone actually use the RPM community? It's always empty whenever I go to it.

In fact, Hypershell seems to be the only other member I see playing this game online.

Anime & Manga / Re: What Anime are you Currently Watching?

Almost done with FMP Fumoffu. I'm surprised how funny it turned out to be, it's more creative than the comedy aspects of the main series.

Started two other anime: New Prince of Tennis, and Seitokai Yakuindomo (OVA).

Haven't seen the previous Prince of Tennis series in ages, but anime has a way of even making TENNIS a high-speed, action packed super sport. Seitokai Yakuindomo gave me quite a laugh, with the sheer amount of sex jokes and randomness, the OVA fairs no differently.

To me, It seemed that the first series was primarily High School "romance/comedy", and secondary militaristic fighting. And that was a problem for me. Granted, I can't deny that some situations were amusing.

Yeah, Second Raid pretty much eliminates that and goes more for the serious military aspect. Which in my opinion wasn't a great move (I actually liked the High-School Comedy parts.)

The complete opposite for me. I finished up The Second Raid, and I loved how much more mature and rooted it was from its predecessor. Kaname disappeared for half the series, which was a huge plus, although she was somehow made more tolerable than before. The action was fantastic, the darker atmosphere was appreciated and the music was solid. I especially liked the contradictory orders given to confuse that traitor.

The comedy aspects actually made me laugh, and there wasn't a surplus amount like in the first series. THIS sequel right here is how it should have started off. The direction and script writing is fantastic, much better than the less-than-great FMP. Second Raid seemed to take a more focused direction to keep you hooked throughout.

Quote
(And Kaname would've had an actual purpose outside of "Tacked on Love Interest who is not very loveable"), but it seems that they completely dropped it with few mentions of it later on (Second Raid... IIRC they only mention it once.)

That [sonic slicer] had so many chances to tell him. The dude gave up on the world when he thought Gauron had killed her, then she comes marching in "from the dead" with assaults? Not to mention the series ends with Sousuke asking her what she was about to tell him back in China (when she was about to confess), replying with "it's nothing".

Regardless, Second Raid was superb. I loved almost every minute of it. There's still some mysteries that need answering though, like who that black-haired woman with the binoculars was (last episode), among a couple others. I hope they make a sequel, TV or movie would be fine.

I marathoned the rest of FMP. Basically, the only somewhat enjoyable character was Sousuke. I hated Kaname to death, seriously, she's one of the most annoying main characters I've seen. Sousuke has to put up with her [parasitic bomb] in every episode. From the story point of view, It's not like this show is trying to avoid the cliche. Same cocky "best friend" and female partner who has to put him in his place. Secret anti-terrorist organization using super-skilled teenagers.

But even with the cliches, an anime can still be well developed and climatic. Unfortunately, this was not the case with FMP. It all felt underwhelming and had a few episodes where I didn't give a [tornado fang] what would happened (like the paintball contest between Tessa and Mao). The ONLY battles I enjoyed were the conflicts between Sousuke and Gauron. Overall, average series, with a handful of decent episodes.

I moved on to FMP: The Second Raid to see if it improved on the first series, and so far, It doesn't disappoint. Animation is beautiful and fluid. Can't judge on story quite yet. But from what I've read about it, Second Raid is the superior series in every way.
